  • In this paper, we present a record-replay technique based on interrupt logging and reproduction. Race conditions have been considered as the main source of nondeterminism in conventional record-replay approaches. However, interrupts are another source of nondeterministic computer system behavior, which must be reproduced at accurate time points, let alone the order of interrupt occurrence. We show that an interrupt-based replayer can be efficiently and effectively implemented by using hardware performance counters and debugging functionality. Experiments also show that the runtime overhead of the interrupt-based replayer is sufficiently low.

  • This research goal of developing and producing a tool that finds security weakness that may happen when a usual program is executed. The analyzing tool for security weakness has the major functions as follows. In case that a part of anticipated security weakness are in execution, it traces a machine language to a part in execution. And Monitoring System calls and DLL(API) calls when a program is in execution. The result of this study will enable to contribute to use as educational materials for security service in companies and related agencies and to prevent from hacking of external information invaders in the final analysis.

  • Numerous platforms have been developed for ZigBee-based network embedded systems. Also, operating systems like TinyOS have been installed to facilitate efficient implementation of wireless sensor network applications which collect data, and/or execute commands. First of all, porting an operating system on a new platform may need invention of a substitute for a required but unsupported hardware component. This paper presents a multiplexed virtual system timer for a platform without a counter comparator which we have contrived to emulate by using an extra counter. Such porting also injects unexpected faults which cause a variety of painful failures. Unfortunately, TinyOS requires to handle a lot of asynchronous hardware interrupts which are hard to trace during debugging. Besides, simulators are not available for a new platform since the models of hardware on the platform are not usually developed, yet. We propose novel instrumentation techniques which can be used to effectively trace the bugs in such lack of debugging environment. These techniques are used to identify and fix a great deal of nasty issues in porting TinyOS 2.0 on MG2400 and MG2455 platforms made by RadioPulse Inc.
