This study evaluates how much D/H and enclosed effects are closely related with each other centering around the spaces of cities in Japan. The partial ranks of the degree of angle in D/H and of the enclosure of the real spaces which the experimenter feels are measured through the method of partial rank correlation analysis on the sane objects. The result shows that all 42 samples(0.49), 25 interior space samples(0.63), and 17 exterior samples(0.59) are analysed to be less correlated. Seen above, there is limit to explaining modern spaces with the degree of angle in D/H. The result reveals that the space structure of modem cities consists of a lot more complex elements, so it is not suitable to evaluate the spaces of cities with the past theories of D/H and enclosed effect. Therefore, to evaluate the enclosed effect, a new evaluation model and a study of influential elements of city spaces and enclosed effect should be developed.

유압 Vane pump는 carming, rotor, vane에 의하여 둘러싸인 공간체적이 rotor의 회전과 함께 변화하면서 pump 작용을 한다. 즉 공간체적이 증가하는 동안은 유압이 저압으로 되어 흡입구에서 유압유를 흡입하고 vane의 존환점 (vane이 가장 많이 출한 점)을 지나면 공간용적이 감소하여 유압류는 고압으로 될 수 있도록 되어있다. 이때 vane은 관성력과 점성력 그리고 유압류의 압력에 의한 힘으로 vane 선단이 캠링의 내면에 밀착되어 회전하도록 되어있다. 유압 vane pump 베인 선단부의 윤활문제와 관련된 지금까지의 연구로서는 Hibi 등에 의한 압력평형형 베인모터, W.D Beck, T.C Edwards에 의한 베인형 콤푸렛셔 Ujiie 등에 의한 베인형 진공펌프, Ueno 등에 의한 가변용량형 베인펌프의 마찰특성에 관한 연구 및 베인 이간 현상에 관한 실험적 연구가 있다. 그러나 이와 같은 연구들의 베인과 캠링 슬라이딩 부분에 관한 취급들은 베인선단 슬라이딩 부분에 가해지는 변동가중이 불명확했기 때문데, 단순히 슬라이딩 부분의 면적이 작다는 이유로 단성유체 윤활상태일 것이라는 확정을 하였을 뿐, 실제적으로 어느 정도의 윤활 상태를 파악하기 위하여 회전하는 vane의 가학적인 거동을 확실하게 규명하고자 함이 본 연구의 목적이다.

미지의 세계를 추적하는 인간의 노력은 끊임없이 진행되고 있다. 신비와 암흑에 쌓인 대륙을 벗겨내는 여러가지 형태의 탐험, 무한한 우주공간을 향해 쏘아 올리는 각종 인공위성, 그리고 광막한 해저를 파헤쳐나가는 일들이 모두가 그것을 충분히 증명해주고 있는 것이다. 삼면이 바다로 둘러싸인 우리 나라의 입지조건을 살펴볼 때 해양개발은 그 어느 것보다도 우선되어야 할 과제가 아닐까? 금번에 열린 한ㆍ미 과학기술 협력 공동위원회 Work Shop에서도 이 문제에 깊은 관심을 갖고 진지한 토론 및 대책을 토의하였다. 여기에서 발표된 연구논문과 함께 최근에 KIST부서로 설치된 해양 발전 연구소에 관해 알아본다.

고차원 공간에서 효과적인 이상치 탐지 방법으로 제안되었던 각도 기반 이상치 탐지(Angle Based Outlier Detection)는 객체와 객체를 비교하는 척도로 각도 개념을 사용하여 고차원 공간에서도 일반적인 거리기반 이상치 측정 방법보다 좋은 이상치 탐지 성능을 가진다. 그러나 어떤 이상치가 다른 이상치에 의해 둘러싸인 경우 정상객체와 구분하기 어렵다는 문제가 있다. 이 논문에서는 기존의 이상치 탐지 방법을 개선한 방법을 제안하고 실험을 통하여 기존의 방법과 제안한 새로운 방법을 비교하여 향상된 성능을 입증한다.

10월 정기 답사 일정으로 아산 외암리 민속마을을 답사하고, 두 번째 일정으로 충남과학교육원을 답사했다. 아주 우연히, 바로 옆 '모나무르 카페 더 그린'이 괜찮은 카페라고 소개받아 추가로 답사를 했는데 건축물의 외관을 보았을 때는 별로 흥미를 느끼지 못했다. 그러나 반전이 있었다. 내부로 진입했을 때 건축물로 둘러싸인 내부에 중정으로 만들어진 워터가든에서는 놀라운 풍경이 그려지고 있었다. 중정에 설치된 워터가든을 에워싼 건축물은 카페, 예식홀 등 복합문화공간으로 구성돼 있어 관람객은 모두 워터가든과 곳곳에 설치된 조각, 예술품을 관람할 수 있으며, 자연 풍경도 같이 즐길 수 있었다. 많은 사람들이 즐기는 풍경을 보니 무척 재미있는 공간이라는 생각이 들었고, 이를 디자인한 건축사의 영감이 그렇게 부러울 수가 없었다. 우리는 주로 어떤 목적지를 선정해 답사를 하지만, 이처럼 예정에도 없었던 건축물과 풍경을 만나게 되면 답사의 즐거움이 배가 되는 기쁜 경험을 하게 되어 다시 다음 답사 일정이 기대된다.

Recently the number of women's hospitals of a small scale are increasing in seoul and the other cities although the surroundings of these sites are so inferior. Those hospitals need the space of comfort as like family home. This study suggests that the encirclement space is one of the design methods to make comfort to patients. The encirclement is the form of hugging a baby to a mother's arms. Analysing six woman hospitals, encirclement space is categorized about the six types of square, open square, right-angled, linear, dispersed, etc. The characteristics of "right-angled" is featured as the form of L, and "square" type is characterized as the relationship of functional circulation among doctors, nurses and patients. And all types are organized as the relationship between the encirclement space and the enclosed space about how the functional space and the comfort space are made up. The properties of encirclement space are appeared by the interactions about function, circulation, sight, form, access, recognition through transparent, three-dimensional experience, etc. Encirclement space is recommended as a vital factor to make comfort space for designing women's hospital in city.

In recent years mobile phone handset terminal has tended to have additional various functions and slim and light weight, and its internal space is getting smaller and narrower. According to complex parts, small and narrow inner space is caused not sufficient bandwidth and lower impedance. Moreover, additional polarization loss by the surrounding parts produces is lower effectiveness and increases difficulties for getting the antenna gain. For IFA is low profile structure based on the ILA(Inverted L Antenna) which is transformed from the monopole antenna. While this antenna has lots of advantages in internal antenna of mobile phone, it has some disadvantage of reduced bandwidth and gains compared with monopole antenna. In this paper, propose vlade hybrid antenna use for the coupling structure.

Although the Dreamland site was the only flat amusement park in the northern part of Seoul, the site lost its function as a regional park due to aging and, therefore, was no longer in use. The site is surrounded by currently existing high dense low-story housing blocks and proposed new towns. A renovation plan for Dreamland was raised by the City of Seoul to enhance the quality of the urban environment in the northern part of Seoul. This study articulates the design concepts and strategies of the prizewinning work of the International Design Competition for Gangbuk Large Park. The three key points can be summarized as follows: First, this design proposal tried to find a new possibility for a large mountain park in an urban areas. These days, mountain parks are used limitedly as ordinary living spaces for activities such as a walking, hiking, and physical training. New strategies were sought to reconstruct the sentiment with which our ancestors enjoyed the mountains. Second, this proposal tried to make Dreamland a socially self-sufficient park. We designed a park which generates self-energy and which communicates with the city, not a park which only exists as a green island in a city. Lastly, rain fed paddy fields, a typical Korean vernacular landscape, was a tangible space which represented people's life-styles harmonizing with the nature. Rain fed paddy fields is a design motif which puts the three surrounding mountains together with the site. It is expected that the new design will works as a noted place.
