Dynamic Model of Centrifugal Compressor for Prediction of Surge Evolution and Performance Variations (서지 발현과 성능 예측을 위한 원심압축기 동적 거동 모델)

  • When a control algorithm is developed to protect automotive compressor surges, the simulation model typically selects an empirically determined look-up table. However, it is difficult for a control oriented empirical model to show surge characteristics of the super charger. In this study, a dynamic supercharger model is developed to predict the performance of a centrifugal compressor under dynamic load follow-up. The model is developed using Simulink$^{(R)}$ environment, and is composed of a compressor, throttle body, valves, and chamber. Greitzer's compressor model is used, and the geometric parameters are achieved by the actual supercharger. The simulation model is validated with experimental data. It is shown that compressor surge is effectively predicted by this dynamic compressor model under various operating conditions.

Two-dimensional numerical experiment considering cohort size and wood jam characteristic on driftwood (유목의 유입규모와 군집특성을 고려하는 2차원 수치모의 실험)

  • In this study, the two-dimensional flow model, Nays2DH, and driftwood dynamics model were combined to analyze the flow and driftwood behavior depending on the characteristics of the inflow of driftwood and the length of the driftwood stem. In particular, the Dashpot-spring model was added to the driftwood dynamics model to simulate the collision motion of the driftwood, and the wood jam characteristics by the collision of the driftwood were compared. As a result of the simulation, the pass rate of the obstacle section, the travel distance of wood jam, and the mean position of the wood pieces were respondent sensitively by the length of the driftwood stem, but the cohort size of the driftwood supply was insignificant excepting for the pass rate. Through this study, we could understand the interaction between hydraulic structures and driftwood, and through this, it is believed that it will be helpful in establishing a durable maintenance plan for hydraulic structures by predicting the transport and jam formation phenomena of driftwood in advance.

  • 본 논문에서는 WBG(Wide Band Gap)특성을 갖는 GaN FET의 과도특성을 분석한다. 먼저, GaN(Gallium Nitride) FET의 공개된 정보를 바탕으로 스위칭 과도 특성과 관련된 파라미터들을 정량적으로 추출하고, GaN FET의 동특성을 반영하는 시뮬레이션 모델을 구성한다. 이 모델을 통하여 Si MOSFET과 비교하여 GaN FET의 성능을 예측한다.

Daily Stock Price Forecasting Using Deep Neural Network Model (심층 신경회로망 모델을 이용한 일별 주가 예측)

  • The application of deep neural networks to finance has received a great deal of attention from researchers because no assumption about a suitable mathematical model has to be made prior to forecasting and they are capable of extracting useful information from large sets of data, which is required to describe nonlinear input-output relations of financial time series. The paper presents a new deep neural network model where single layered autoencoder and 4 layered neural network are serially coupled for stock price forecasting. The autoencoder extracts deep features, which are fed into multi-layer neural networks to predict the next day's stock closing prices. The proposed deep neural network is progressively learned layer by layer ahead of the final learning of the total network. The proposed model to predict daily close prices of KOrea composite Stock Price Index (KOSPI) is built, and its performance is demonstrated.

  • Maglev train system has been continuously received attention as it provides good ride quality and low noise and vibration level. Furthermore it is an eco-friendly transport system with little dust pollutant. However the dynamic performance of the vehicle has been influenced by the track layout and the structural stability of guideways and girders, etc. Especially the levitation control of magnetic module is the most important performance of the Maglev system and is very sensitive about the control algorithm and the parameters of the controller. In this paper, the co-simulation of the control and dynamic model has been proposed and the simulation results for the running simulation on the curve track has been shown.

  • With the increase of storage density, high rotational speed and high access technologies in optical disk drive, mechanical issues, mainly noise and vibration, become critical. Up to now the researches of rubber mount for anti-vibration focused on how to calculate the static and the dynamic stiffness of rubber mount and leaved out of consideration of the dimensional tolerance of rubber mount for anti-vibration. This paper presents the effects of dimensional tolerance of rubber mount for anti-vibration on the dynamic characteristics of optical disk drive by finite element analysis and dynamic test. The relation between dimensional tolerance and dynamic characteristics of optical disk drive is observed and discussed.

  • Identification of dynamics of short circulation during grade change operations in paper mills is very important for the effective plant operation. In the present study a prediction method of One Pass Retention(OPR) is proposed based on the neural network. The present method is used to analyze the dynamics of short circulation during grade change. Properties of the product paper largely depend upon the change in the OPR. In the present study the OPR is predicted from the training of the network by using grade change operation data. The results of the prediction are applied to the modeling equation to give flow rates and consistencies of short circulation.

  • 영구자석을 삽입하는 IPM(Interior Permanent Magnet : 이하 IPM) 방식의 동기전동기 설계에서 브리지의 형상 결정은 기계적인 안정성을 확보하고 출력 요구사양을 만족시키기 위해 구조해석과 자기회로 해석을 병행하여 검토하는 것을 요구한다. 본 논문에서는 IPM타입 동기전동기를 대상으로 회전자 원심력이 정적상태로 인가되는 정하중 조건과 속도변화가 시간에 따라 변하는 동하중 조건일 경우를 구분하여 설계 여유를 분석하였으며, 영구자석의 접착여부에 따라 브리지에 발생하는 응력 분포의 차이를 해석하였다. 또한, 동하중 상태에서 재료의 응력-피로 특성을 통해 피로 한계 조건을 설계단계에서 예측하였다.

  • The chevron rubber spring is used for subway vehicle as a primary suspension. Generally, the primary suspension has an influence to the running performance and not so much effect on the ride comfort in railway vehicle. But the stiffness of chevron spring is harder and harder as time goes on because of rubber characteristics. Therefore the dynamic characteristics such as ride comfort and derailment coefficient should be reviewed according to the stiffness variation of chevron rubber spring. In this paper the effect of chevron rubber spring on dynamic characteristics was studied by considering multi-body dynamics of railway vehicle on one straight line and seven curved lines.

  • 영상회의 시스템과 같은 멀티미디어 데이터 통신에서 스케일러빌리티 및 점진적인 전송을 구현하기 위해서 웨이브릿 기반의 영상을 부호화한다. 웨이브릿 기반의 동영상 부호화 기법인 SAMCoW 알고리즘은 움직임이 보상된 오차 영상의 웨이브릿 변환 계수들의 특성으로 인해 제로 트리의 무효 계수 예측이 효과적이지 못하다. 따라서 본 논문에서는 직교 웨이브릿(Forward Orthogonal wavelet)을 기반으로 스케일러빌리티 및 점진적인 전송을 지원하며, 움직임이 보상된 오차 영상의 효율적인 부호화를 위해 적응적 임계치를 이용한 대역 확산 부호화 알고리즘을 제안한다.
