  • of a microstrip transmission line, this transmission line can operate as the microstrip line or the coplanar line according to open or short connection between the ungrounded copper plane and grounded plane on the base plane. Two different type operation of the transmission line means that one transmission line can have two different characteristic impedances. This paper proposes and fabricates the circuit to be operated 2-ports power transmission line or 2-way power divider with the stable input matching characteristic by using this dual-impedance transmission line. The proposed circuit operates 2-ports power transmission line in case of the coplanar line or 2-way power divider line in case of the microstrip line. The fabricated circuit shows $S_{21}$ > -0.2 dB and $S_{11}$ < -15 dB above 700 MHz when the circuit operates 2-ports power transmission line. And, it is $S_{21}$ > -3.8 dB, $S_{11}$ < -10 dB and $S_{21}/S_{31}$ < ${\pm}0.3dB$ above 700 MHz when the circuit operates 2-way power divider.

  • 분산전원(Dispersed Generators)이 계통과 연계된 상태로 운전함에 따라 단방향의 전력 조류만을 고려하여 운영되던 기존의 배전 시스템에 여러 가지 새로운 영향을 미치게 되었다. 따라서 배전계통에 설치된 보호 장치들은 발전기 자체의 고장은 물론 계통 상황에 적절히 대처하여 운전할 수 있도록 고안되어져야 한다. 특히 DG가 연계되어 있는 배전선에서의 사고는 배전용 차단기의 동작으로 DG의 단독운전이 발생 할 수 있다. DG의 단독운전은 인명피해, 기기손상, 전력품질저하, 계통 복구의 어려움 둥 많은 문제가 있으므로 사고시 DG를 신속히 계통으로부터 분리해 주어야 한다. 그러나 DG가 연계된 배전선 이외(인접 배전선)의 고장에 대해서는 DG가 불필요하게 계통으로부터 분리되는 것을 예방하고 사고가 계통에서 제가 될 때까지 정상적으로 동작하게 하여야 한다. 따라서 DG 연계 배전선과 인접 배전선의 고장을 명확히 구분하는 것이 중요하다. 본 논문에서는 DG 연계 배전선과 인접 배전선의 고장 구분을 위해서 Network 상의 IED(Intelligent Electronic Device)에서 제공되는 Data통하여 HMI내에서 DG 연계 배전선과 인접 배전선의 사고판단을 하고 결과를 각 계전기로 보내 동작유무를 결정한다.

  • This paper presents a study on pull cord switch system which is employed in various industry for emergency stop of the equipments. By using power line communication(PLC) technique, in this paper, a new method for operation position detection of pull cord switch is suggested without complicated wiring of separate cables which utilize only 2 lines. Also, using control function of PLC IC, a reset signal for each switch reset can be implemented in the switch status control/sensing device. Finally, this paper shows validity and practical applicability of the proposed operating position sensing system of pull cord switch by implementing the system and revealing the response time and signal through the PLC line.

This study is willing to says the semantically problem of previous lines on the movement expression and to present a new alternative in order to study the line on the movement expression of . This study Separate the line on movement expression from symbolic the perspective and try to newly define by using, was classified lines of four kinds by add the afterimage line on existing the speed line, the motion line, the effect line. First, the speed line was defined as 'The line expressing the movement expression of a moving target as the concept of speed'. It on the way of expression was subdivided the direct as speed line when it alter the shape of the target and the indirect speed line when it alter the background of the target. Second, the motion line was defined as 'The line simplified the moving form or the moving path of moving target'. Third, the effect line was defined as 'the line emphasizing the movement expression of a moving target by Sensory expression or emotional expression. Fourth, the afterimage lines was defined as 'The line expressing slowly moving or swaying the movement expression of target to the afterimage effect. The terminology presented in this study will be able to help the understanding of the line on the movement expression .

  • 본 논문에서는 CRLH 전송 선로를 이용한 스터브 구조의 이중 대역 가지선로 결합기를 제안한다. 기존의 스터브 구조의 이중 대역 가지 선로 결합기는 동작하는 두 주파수가 근접할수록 스터브 선로의 임피던스가 증가해 구현이 불가능 하다. 제안된 이중 대역 가지선로 결합기는 비교적 근접한 1800MHz와 2300MHz 두 주파수에서 동작한다. 고 임피던스 스터브 선로는 이중 대역 소자 설계에 유용한 CRLH 전송 선로를 사용하여 구현 된다. 두 주파수에서 측정된 삽입 손실은 이상적인 결합기에 비해 최대 1.88dB의 오차가 났으며 두 출력 포트 사이의 위상차는 $1^{\circ}$미만 이다. 동작하는 두 주파수의 비는 1.28:1로 비교적 작은 차이를 보인다.

Throughput Performance Evaluation According to The State Change of A Primary Ship in Maritime Cognitive Radio Networks (해상 인지 무선 네트워크에서 선순위 선박의 상태 변화를 고려한 수율 성능 평가)

  • The maritime cognitive radio networks (MCRNs) provide the high throughput with a low communication cost because the secondary ships opportunistically access to unused licensed bands of primary ships. In the ground cognitive radio networks, the busy and idle state of a primary user during a frame is not nearly changed because the state of the primary user are slowly changed. However, the state of the primary ship in the MCRNs may be frequently changed in the frame. Therefore, this paper evaluates the throughput of a primary ship and secondary ships in the MCRNs taking the state change of a primary ship into consideration when the fusion center uses the cooperative spectrum sensing. The simulation results show that trade-off between the throughput of a primary ship and that of secondary ships according to the system parameter such as the cooperative spectrum sensing scheme, the number of secondary ships, and the target detection probability.

AN X-RAY EXPERIMENT WITH TWO-STAGE KOREAN SOUNDING ROCKET (중형 과학로켓을 활용한 천체 X-선 관측실험 결과 분석)

  • The test result of the X-ray observation system is presented which have been developed at Korea Astronomy Observatory for 3 years(1995 -1997). The instrument, which is composed of detector and signal processing parts, is designed for the future observations of compact X-ray sources. The performance of the instrument was tested by mounting on the two-stage Korean Sounding Rocket, which was launched from Taean rocket flight center on June 11 at 10:00 KST 1998. Telemetry data was received from individual parts of the instrument for 32 and 55.7 sec, respectively, since the launch of the rocket. In this paper, the result of the data analysis based on the received telemetry data and discussion about the performance of the instrument is reported.

The fabrication of a coaxial line impedance transformer with low transmission loss and wideband operation range (저손실 광대역 동작 특성을 가지는 동축 선로 임피던스 변환기 제작)

  • The coaxial line impedance transformer that performs impedance conversion using the coupling of two or more coaxial lines of the same length is often used for impedance matching in the low frequency region due to many advantages. This paper measures the phase and magnitude characteristics of each coaxial line in a 4:1 coaxial line impedance transformer using two 100mm coaxial lines. This experiment shows that it is more effective to make the length of the auxiliary coaxial line shorter than the main coaxial line by about 5 mm in order to realize a low loss impedance transformer. In addition, it measures the transmission characteristics by directly connecting a 4:1 impedance transformer and a 1:4 impedance transformer. This experiment shows that it is effective to connect a 1pF capacitor between the ground and the outer conductor input point of the main coaxial line in order to increase the operating frequency range.

The Relative Distance in Taking Action for Collision Avoidance Maneuver of the Stand-on Vessel (피항조선시의 유지선 피항개시거리에 관한 연구)

  • The Steering and Sailing Rules of International Regulations for Preventing Collisions at Sea now in use direct the best aid - action to avoid collision by the stand - on vessel. But these rules do not refer to the safety relative distance between two vessels when she should take such action. In this paper, the author analyzed the ship's collision avoiding actions from the viewpoint of ship motions and worked out mathematical formulas to calculate the relative distances necessary for taking action to avoid collision. Figuring out the values of maneuvering indices through experiments of 11 actual ships of small, medium, large and mammoth size, the author applied these values to the calculating formulas and calculated the minimum relative distances. The main results are as follows: 1. It was confIrmed that the stand - on vessel should keep the greatest relative distance for taking best aid - action to avoid collision when the cross angle of course was $90^{\circ}$ and near it(70-$90^{\circ}$ ). 2. When the cross angle of course was $90^{\circ}$ , the minimum relative distance of small vessel(GT: 160-650tons) was found to be more than about 6.8 times of her own length, and those of medium(GT : 2,300-3,500tons), large(GT : 22,OOO-62,OOOtons) and mammoth(GT : 91,000-139,000tons) vessels were found to be more than about 9.0 times, about 5.4 times and about 6.8 times of their own lengths. 3. It was confIrmed that collision danger was greater when crossing angle was obtuse than in an acute angle, therefore greater relative distance was to be kept by the stand - on vessel for taking best aid - action to avoid collision in the case of the obtuse angle. 4. In every vessels, in the case of $90^{\circ}$ cross angle of course the safety minimum relative distance was found to be more than about 9.0 times of their own lengths.

  • In this paper we address the tracking method which tracks only target object in image sequence including moving object. We use a contour tracking algorithm based on intensity and motion boundaries. The motion of the moving object contour in the image is assumed to be well describable by an affine motion model with a translation, a change in scale and a rotation. The moving object contour is represented by B-spline, the position and motion of which is estimated along the image sequence. we use pattern recognition to identify target object. In order to use linear Kalman Filters we decompose the estimation process into two filters. One is estimating the affine motion parameters and the other the shape of moving object contour. In some experiments with dial plate we show that this method enables us to obtain the robust motion estimates and tracking trajectories even in case of including obstructive object.
