As the existing face recognition CCTV and home IOT have each individual hardware component, they have a disadvantage that the measured results of their sensors and the CCTV can not be viewed on one screen at a time. In order to overcome the above disadvantages of existing CCTV and home IOT, this paper proposes an integrated platform which constitutes the CCTV and home IOT as one hardware component using Raspberry Pi and shows each result on one screen through Smartphone application. The proposed integrated platform CCTV and home IOT system is a system which can run the application as a Smartphone and check the sensor value measured by Raspberry Pi and the picture taken through the Pi camera. The implemented system measures temperature, humidity, gas, and dust, and implements face recognition technology on a screen shot through a Pi camera, allowing it to be seen at a glance with a Smartphone.

In this paper, we develop IoT-HiAS(IoT-Human Interactive Advertising Service) for sharing economy. The HiAS device shooting the front of the device via a webcam and recognizes the person in real time through the SSD model using MobileNet. If the number of persons above the set threshold is recognized by counting the recognized person, the advertisement is reproduced on the idle resource through the beam projector. At the same time as the advertisement is reproduced, the captured image of the advertisement start time in the front of the device and the number of recognized persons are sends the IoT server of an oneM2M-compliant HiAS server using the IoT client. When the advertisement is finish, the webcam is shooting the front of the device and the image is sends the IoT server. We implemented the IoT-based human interactive advertising service by transmitting the received data to the advertiser and the advertising producers through the SNS(Social Network Service) agent of the HiAS server.

In this paper, we propose a method for improving raw images captured in a low light condition based on deep learning considering the image signal processing. In the case of a smart phone camera, compared to a DSLR camera, the size of a lens or sensor is limited, so the noise increases and the reduces the quality of images in low light conditions. Existing deep learning-based low-light image processing methods create unnatural images in some cases since they do not consider the lens shading effect and white balance, which are major factors in the image signal processing. In this paper, pixel distances from the image center and channel average values are used to consider the lens shading effect and white balance with a deep learning model. Experiments with low-light images taken with a smart phone demonstrate that the proposed method achieves a higher peak signal to noise ratio and structural similarity index measure than the existing method by creating high-quality low-light images.
Precise counting of cell number stands in important position within clinical and research laboratories. Conventional methods such as hemocytometer, migration/invasion assay, or automated cell counters have limited in analytical time, cost, and accuracy., which needs an alternative way with time-efficient in-situ approach to broaden the application avenue. Here, we present simple coding-based cell counting method using image analysis tool, freely available image software (ImageJ). Firstly, we encapsulated RFP-expressing bacteria in a droplet using microfluidic device and automatically performed fluorescence image-based analysis for the quantification of cell numbers. Also, time-lapse images were captured for tracking the change of cell numbers in a droplet containing different concentrations of antibiotics. This study confirms that our approach is approximately 15 times faster and provides more accurate number of cells in a droplet than the external analysis program method. We envision that it can be used to the development of high-throughput image-based cell counting analysis.
A 70-year-old female diagnosed with pancreatic ductal adenocarcinoma was treated by pylorus-preserving pancreaticoduodenectomy (PPPD) and adjuvant concurrent chemoradiotherapy with 5-fluorouracil. Pancreatic ductal adenocarcinoma pT3N0 (stage IIA) was pathologically confirmed. Abdominal computed tomography (CT) findings 14 months after PPPD showed 10 mm sized solitary liver metastasis in segment 3. After 12 cycles of gemcitabine and 9 cycles of capecitabine plus oxaliplatin, the metastatic nodule increased in size to 27 mm. Tumorectomy at segment 3 of liver was done. 25 months after tumorectomy, chest CT showed 23 mm sized cavitary nodule in right upper lobe of lung. The result of percutaneous biopsy favored metastatic adenocarcinoma. Two sets of stereotactic body radiation therapy were done and the patient has survived without further disease progression for 6 years after initial diagnosis. This case suggests that selected population of recurrent pancreatic cancer patients with solitary liver or pulmonary metastasis can be treated by resection of metastatic site and ablative therapies.
Purpose: The aim of this study is to demonstrate the feasibility of 2-[fluorine-18] fluoro-2-deoxy-D-glucose (F-18-FDG) whole body scan (FDG W/B Scan) using dual-head gamma camera equipped with ultra high energy collimator in patients with various cancers, and compare the results with those of coincidence imaging. Materials and Methods: Phantom studies of planar imaging with ultra high energy and coincidence tomography (FDG CoDe PET) were performed. Fourteen patients with known or suspected malignancy were examined. F-18-FDG whole body scan was performed using dual-head gamma camera with high energy (511 keV) collimators and regional FDG CoDe PET immediately followed it Radiological, clinical follow up and histologic results were correlated with F-18-FDG findings. Results: Planar phantom study showed 13.1 mm spatial resolution at 10 cm with a sensitivity of 2638 cpm/MBq/ml. In coincidence PET, spatial resolution was 7.49 mm and sensitivity was 5351 cpm/MBq/ml. Eight out of 14 patients showed hypermetabolic sites in primary or metastatic tumors in FDG CoDe PET. The lesions showing no hypermetabolic uptake of FDG in both methods were all less than 1 cm except one lesion of 2 cm sized metastatic lymph node. The metastatic lymph nodes of positive FDG uptake were more than 1.5 cm in size or conglomerated lesions of lymph nodes less than 1cm in size. FDG W/B scan showed similar results but had additional false positive and false negative cases. FDG W/B scan could not visualize liver metastasis in one case that showed multiple metastatic sites in FDG CoDe PET. Conclusion: FDG W/B scan with specially designed collimators depicted some cancers and their metastatic sites, although it had a limitation in image quality compared to that of FDG CoDe PET. This study suggests that F-18-FDG positron imaging using dual-head gamma camera is feasible in oncology and helpful if it should be more available by regional distribution of FDG.

To evaluate the 3-dimensional features of the grafted bone with maxillary sinus augmentation and to assess the relation between the degree of bone resorption and the type of bone grafting source and implant, and the operation method. A retrospective chart review of patients receiving sinus augmentation procedures for implant positioning was conducted: radiographic analysis of the volume and area of bone grafts was performed. The volumetric remodeling.measured at 6 months after implant positioning as the percentage of residual bone graft.was correlated to type of graft materials and operation methods. 53 dental implants positioned with sinus bone graft in 15 patients at Wonkwang University Sanbon Dental Hospital. Computed tomography scans, taken implant positioning after 6 months, showed greater resorption values for the group of $Puros^{(R)}$ graft alone from the group of mixed with $Puros^{(R)}$ and various bone graft (P<0.05, respectively). And resorption values according to operation methods have statistically significant difference(P<0.05). Volume change ratio of bone graft showed greater values for the group of delayed implant position from the group of simultaneously implant placement with bone graft. Retrospective data analysis shows that the method of graft with $Puros^{(R)}$ alone may occur greater resorption of graft materials than mixed graft material with $Puros^{(R)}$ and other graft materials. The group of simultaneously implant placement with bone graft also display smaller resorption ratio of bone graft than the group of delayed implant placement.
Medical imaging modalities to image either anatomical structure or functional processes have developed along somewhat independent paths. Functional images with single photon emission computed tomography (SPECT) and positron emission tomography (PET) are playing an increasingly important role in the diagnosis and staging of malignant disease, image-guided therapy planning, and treatment monitoring. SPECT and PET complement the more conventional anatomic imaging modalities of computed tomography (CT) and magnetic resonance (MR) imaging. When the functional imaging modality was combined with the anatomic imaging modality, the multimodality can help both identify and localize functional abnormalities. Combining PET with a high-resolution anatomical imaging modality such as CT can resolve the localization issue as long as the images from the two modalities are accurately coregistered. Software-based registration techniques have difficulty accounting for differences in patient positioning and involuntary movement of internal organs, often necessitating labor-intensive nonlinear mapping that may not converge to a satisfactory result. These challenges have recently been addressed by the introduction of the combined PET/CT scanner and SPECT/CT scanner, a hardware-oriented approach to image fusion. Combined PET/CT and SPECT/CT devices are playing an increasingly important role in the diagnosis and staging of human disease. The paper will review the development of multi modality instrumentations for clinical use from conception to present-day technology and the application software.
Purpose: There have been some efforts to diagnose intracranial aneurysm through a non-invasive method using MRA, although the process may be difficult when the lesion is less than 3mm. The present study prospectively compares the results of high resolution, fast speed slice interpolation MRA and DSA thereby examing the potentiality of primary non-invasive screening test. Materials and Methods: A total of 26 cerebral aneurysm lesions from 14 patients with subarachnoid hemorrhage from ruptured aneurysm (RA) and 5 patients with unruptured aneurysm(UA). In all subjects, MRA was taken to confirm the vessel of origin, definition of aneurysm neck and the relationship of the aneurysm to nearby small vessels, and the results were compared with the results of DSA. The images were obtained with 1.5T superconductive machine (Vision, Siemens, Erlangen, Germany) on 4 slabs of MRA using slice interpolation. The settings include TR/TE/FA=30/6.4/25, matrix $160{\times}512$, FOV $150{\times}200$, 7minutes 42 seconds of scan time, effective thickness of 0.7 mm and an entire thickness of 102. 2mm. The images included structures from foramen magnum to A3 portion of anterior cerebral artery. MIP was used for the image analysis, and multiplanar reconstruction (MPR) technique was used in cases of intracranial aneurysm. Results: A total of 26 intracranial aneurysm lesions from 19 patients with 2 patients having 3 lesion, 3 patients having 2 lesions and the rest of 14 patients having 1 lesion each were examined. Among those, 14 were RA and 12 were UA. Eight lesions were less than 2mm in size, 9 lesions were 3-5mm, 7 were 6-9mm and 2 were larger than IOmm. On initial exams, 25 out of 26 aneurysm lesions were detected in either MRA or DSA showing 96% sensitivity. Specificity cannot be estimated since there was no true negative of false positive findings. When MRA and MPR were used concurrently for the confirmation of size and shape, the results were equivalent to those of DSA, while in the confirmation of aneurysm neck and parent vessels, the concurrent use of MRA and MPR was far superior to the sole use of either MRA or DSA. Conclusion: High resolution MRA using slice interpolation technique showed equal results as those of DSA for the detection of intracranial aneurysm, and may be used as a primary non-invasive screening test in the future.
