Standardization Status in Maritime Industry Domain and ICT Convergence Trends (조선해양산업과 정보통신기술 융합 동향에 따른 표준화 현황)

  • In the maritime industry, the convergence of information and communication technology (ICT) occurs in two areas. The first one is the convergence of e-navigation technology to apply ICT to the maritime domain. This was led by EU's initiative and is also being promoted in our country. The other one is the convergence of autonomous ship technology to apply various ICT technologies for commercial purposes. This initiative is being led by maritime industries. In this paper, we describe trends of e-navigation and maritime autonomous surface ship technology convergence. Subsequently, we explain the standardization status of performance and technical standard bodies, international standardization organizations, and related standard-developing organizations to provide the interoperability of these technologies. Finally, we examine ongoing projects in Korea and suggest future directions for their R&D and standardization.

  • Recently, while research for the ubiquitous networking and ubiqutous computing is gone with activity, RFID(Radio Frequency IDentification) that recognize movement of things and take position advantage of RFID echnology in ubiquitous environment are required. In this paper, we propose and design a system that can taking customer's position in large size mart and analyzing customer's shopping movement to manage customer and merchandise of most suitable.

Polyphenol Contents and Antioxidant Activities of Fractions from Ssanghwa-tang and Fermented Ssanghwa-tang (쌍화탕과 발효쌍화탕 분획물의 폴리페놀함량 및 항산화 활성)

  • The aim of this study is to compare antioxidant activity and total polyphenol contents between before and after fermentation of Ssanghwa-tang according to solvent partition. Ssanghwa-tang was fermented with Lactobacilus fermentum. Ssanghwa-tang and the fermented Ssanghwa-tang were fractioned by solvent partition with ethyl acetate, butanol and water. The Ssanghwa-tangs and their solvent fractions were evaluated for total polyphenol contents and DPPH radical scavenging activity. The antioxidant activity as well as the total polyphenol contents were highest in each ethyl acetate fraction and significantly (p<0.05) increased after fermentation.

  • A development of a new moving obstacle avoidance algorithm using a delay-time Compensation for a network-based autonomous mobile robot is proposed in this paper. The moving obstacle avoidance algorithm is based on a Kalman filter through moving obstacle estimation and a Bezier curve for path generation. And, the network-based mobile robot, that is a unified system composed of distributed environmental sensors, mobile actuators, and controller, is compensated by a network delay compensation algorithm for degradation performance by network delay. The network delay compensation method by a sensor fusion using the Kalman filter is proposed for the localization of the robot to compensate both the delay of readings of an odometry and the delay of reading of environmental sensors. Through some simulation tests, the performance enhancement of the proposed algorithm in the viewpoint of efficient path generation and accurate goal point is shown here.

A Study on the Required Stockpiles of Marine Oil Spill Response Equipments in the Busan Area (부산해역에서의 해양오염방제장비의 필요수량에 관한 연구)

  • As the Busan harbor is getting susceptible to oil Pollution. the authors analyze the historical records of oil spill accidents and investigate the shoreline features. In addition. we evaluate the response capabilities and compute the required stockpiles of marine oil spill response with the worst case scenario in this area. As a result, it is shown that the recommendable oil spill response is to contain and mechanically recover all oils at sea surface in winter. while chemical dispersants can be used in summer with mechanical containment and recovery, and it is also found that off-shore booms of 3,000m and off-shore skimmers of 986MT/hour recovery rate should be stockpiled with 10,000∼60,000 liters of concentrate chemical dispersant and small amount of synthetic organic sorbents for possible use.

  • 멀티미디어의 비중이 커짐에 따라 컴퓨터 과학 각 분야에서 독자적인 기술들을 이용하여 실제 응용 및 시스템을 구축하고 있다. 하지만 멀티미디어 동영상 내에서 객체의 행위 단독적인 움직임을 수치로만 표현하여 자료를 처리함에 따라 의미를 해석하는 것이 부자연스럽고 정확한 숫자에 부합하는 행동의 검출이 어렵다. 본 논문에서는 멀티미디어 동영상의 기본적인 행위를 추출하고 이를 추상화, 정형화하여 보다 상위단계로 접근을 유도하여 멀티미디어 데이터에 대한 접근을 용이하게 하기위한 방법에 대하여 논의하였다.

The Material Distribution by the Ecosystem Modeling in Suyoung Bay (수영만의 생태계모델링에 의한 물질분포)

  • A three-dimensional ecosystem model is applied to the Suyoung Bay, located at the southeastern part of Korea, to study of the material distribution in the time scale of several tens days. The model has included of the DIN(Dissolved Inorganic Nitrogen), DIP(Dissolved Inorganic Phosphate), phytoplankton, zooplankton and detritus, and also was coupled with the physical processes. The spatial distribution of chlorophyll-a and primary productivity in the model is determined by the physical and chemical-biological parameters. The horizontal distributions of the DIN, DIP and chlorophyll-a are decreased from the coast to the off-shore, though the nutrients show some more complicated pattern than the chlorophyll-a. The nutrient contents in the off-shore are low, and thus a relatively low productivity(chlorophyll-a) are presented. On the whole, the distribution of the results of model are smoother than the observed ones and some small scale variation in the observed data cannot be reproduced by the model due to the resolution limits of model. However, the basic pattern and the quantitavities has been reproduced by the model well.

  • 뇌 기능의 연구수단으로써 널리 사용되고 있는 뇌파(Electroencephalogram)는 측정시에 노이즈(noise)나 잡파(Artifacts)가 섞여서 측정되기 쉽다. 이러한 노이즈나 잡파들을 제거하기 위하여 미지의 혼합된 신호들을 분리하는데 적용되고 있는 통계적인 처리 방식인 독립성분분석(ICA) 알고리즘을 뇌파에 적용하여 그 결과를 알아보았다. 본 연구에서는 정상인의 안구운동(Eye Movement)상태의 뇌파 신호에 대해서 독립성분분석을 적용하여 안구운동과 관련된 잡파가 포함된 원래의 뇌파신호(Original EEG Signal)와 제거한 다음의 뇌파신호(Corrected EEG Signal)에 대하여 비선형 분석법을 사용하여 두 신호의 유의한 차이점을 밝히고, 분리된 독립 신호들의 해부학적 발생위치 및 분포를 추정하였다.

A Study on the Experiential Characteristics of Museum Visit and Its Periodical Implications (박물관 관람경험의 특성과 시대적 의미에 관한 연구)

  • This thesis is focused on the visitors varied experiences of the current museum architecture. The current trend and periodical development of visitors experiences are discussed by analyzing the factors such as the external symbol scheme, the exhibition space scheme, and the visitors circulation scheme which are involved with a visitors experience and thus classifying the experiences related to each sample museum. Examining and providing logical descriptions on each of the schemes helps comprehend the visitors varied experiences. This research, which deals with thoroughly understanding a museum as an architecture followed by taking visitors experiences into account, is aimed to contribute to improving visitors experiences in the course of designing a museum. The above-mentioned types of combination applied to each museum chosen for the research help understand the following : National museums show predominance of specific visitors experiences. As for the external symbol scheme, most of national museums have adopted the temple type, whereas international museums have equally adopted with the temple type and the showroom type which are characterized by its dedication to function and being in balance between contents and formalities.

A Study on the Interior Design of Mosi Market Considering the Circulation Process and Merchandising System (유통과정 및 판매시스템을 고려한 모시유통센타의 실내계획에 관한 연구)

  • This study aims at alalyzing the circulation process, merchandising system of Mosi(Korean traditional garment material), and accessing the way of interior design of Mosi market. There are three kinds of garment material of Mosi such as Pilmosi, Gootmosi, Taemosi classified by manufacturing process. At Mosi market, these three materials are sold in due sequence. Mosi market needs three space zones such as Mosi market space, inspecting space of Mosi and resting place, and these three spaces have strong interrelationship, so designer should plan not to disterb the moving flow. In the Mosi market space there should be divided by three zones such as Pilmosi marketing place, Gootmosi marketing place, and Taemosi marketing place in due sequence. The furniture of Mosi market place divided two kinds such as furniture for Pilmosi and that of Gootmosi or Taemosi. The proper form of furniture for Pilmosi is circular arc bar counter and that for Gootmosi or Taemosi is low rectangular table.
