This study aims to analyze research domains and trends of reading education in Korea and, suggest future research direction of this field. First, In order to identify the overview of research in terms of productivity, A basic analysis was performed based on 1,465 articles of domestic serials(1935~2011). Second, The analysis of intellectual structure using author profiling as a technique of text mining was performed based on 652 papers of domestic journals(2000~2011). Third, Depending on the results of these analysis, this study suggested the directions of future research of the field.

The purpose of this study was to survey the current situation of young adults' reading programs in public library. For this purpose, this study conducted a questionnaire survey to the young adults' program librarians on the current state of the young adults' reading programs. It's going to be ubiquitous environment which is able to use web pages independent of time and a place by recent development of mobile techniques. On this, we improved the leveled reading supporting system according to U-learning environment and make student to read on both Off-line and On-line through connecting to E-book service. So we developed the reading supporting system which can improve the interests in reading and reading skill and proved the effects. U-learning based leveled reading education support system could be helped develop the reading ability by raising the interest in the activities reading and after reading.

The 2015 revised curriculum aims to cultivate creative convergence talent. In this regard, SW education needs to study various convergence education methods to enhance computational thinking. The purpose of this study is to analyze the effects of SW convergence education centered on reading education and robot utilization education to improve computing thinking ability. For this purpose, SW education teaching and learning was designed by combining SW education using card coding-based robots with reading education based on interactive works and reading on the whole work. As a result, the convergence education between reading and SW improved all three areas of the concept, practice, and perspective of computational thinking ability and increased the learner's satisfaction.

In this study, the direction and contents of public education to develop competencies that are in line with the 2022 revised curriculum and the paradigm of future education were sought, and a plan for reading education was prepared. A creative and cooperative problem-solving method and process as not only information literacy ability to read, select, and reconstruct information but also transformative competency to respond to uncertain future and diversified situations are important amid the complex, pluralistic and rapid development of information and communication technology It was intended to give an experience of exploring and communicating through reading in order to explore and derive it. Analyze the general outline and syllabus of the curriculum, international education project definitions and indicators, and organize academic theories and research to set the direction and goal of high school reading education, and organize creative and convergence class strategies and reading activities A library reading class model was developed. Accordingly, the class model was revised by applying the development research method, and the final model was developed by supplementing it through field application evaluation. In order to achieve the research purpose end, a two-round Delphi survey was conducted on 10 reading education and curriculum experts. The model modified through the Delphi survey was developed in the final school library convergence reading class model by demonstrating the class in the educational field and supplementing it through application evaluation.

The purpose of this study is to strengthen librarian's capacity by developing curriculum and training system for fostering '(tentative name)Librarians Specialized in Reading Healing' as a field of professional librarians. For this purpose, curriculum and training system for fostering librarians specialized in reading healing are designed and presented through research methods including literature study, case study and 1, 2nd delphi survey. The final curriculum is composed of curriculum for 1st and 2nd grade licensed librarians specialized in reading healing and refresher training based on job description of librarians specialized in reading healing. The training system is based on the first and second level certification granted by completion of the course, thus is designed to meet requirements both for academic achievement and for career development in each grade.

The purpose of this study is to analyze the meanings of school libraries in Japanese reading education. An emphasis was on analyzing both strength and weakness of Japanese school library policies and reading education programs from the viewpoints of Japanese students. Employed to collect the data were a comprehensive literature survey, focus interviews with 23 school librarians, and a survey with 404 Japanese students. The major finding of this study is that the current Japanese school library policy is not adequate enough to make its reading education be successful, and in particular, it has serious flaws with the educational system of school librarians as well as the school library staffing system itself.

Several problems occur in reading education in a elementary school. They are the lack of considering the difference of student's capability and diagnosing their reading ability, the review activity focusing on only text and the discontinuation between school and home. Our system is designed and implemented to support leveled reading education using multimedia technology. We can diagnose the student's reading ability exactly and promptly and introduce suitable books considering their ability, and work the proper review activities with this system. It can help the students to interest their reading.

The objectives of this study is to propose the direction of developing the reading activities of the individuals in the future society, and to develop the "model of Web-based reading strategy", based on the understanding of the information literacy reading strategies, and the characteristic and concept of web 3.0., for adapting to the changes in the media environment. In this study, 6 reading strategy models based on the web platform were developed. These 6 strategy models are Metacognitive Strategy, Information Retrieval Model, Personalization Strategy, Reading Strategy, Writing Strategy and Interpreting Strategy.
