The Handling Characteristics of The Independent Rear Wheel Steering Vehicle Using the Reference Model Following Control (기준모델 추종제어를 이용한 독립 후륜조향 차량의 조향 특성해석)

  • In this paper the reference model following control(RMFC) scheme through the optimal control theory is investigated for the independent rear wheel steering(IRWS) vehicle. RMFC vehicle follows the dynamic performance of a virtual vehicle as a reference model deisgned in the controller. Linear vehicle model of two degres-of-freedom is used to derive control scheme which is applied to full vehicle for evaluating handling performances. And 4WS vehicle through RMFC is compared to the conventional 2WS vehicle and 4WS vehicle in the J-turn test. The RMFC logic is also extended to IRWS vehicle, IRWS with RMFC shows not only the excellent handling performance but salso some advantages in terms of the directional stability and responsiveness from the simulation results.

  • Reduction of number of actuators for independent modal space control In this paper, a new modified independent modal space control (IMSC), which relaxes the fundamental hardware limitation of IMSC, is suggested to handle the vibration and attitude control problem for flexible large structures. This method has adapted a new switching algorithm between controlled modes and a novel design technique for modal control force. The main advantage of this method is to minimize the discontinuity of the modal control forces and to assure the asymptotic stability of the closed-loop systems. This process is shown to be simple and efficient in a realistic example of vibration control of a cantiloever beam. It has been found that the modified IMSC suggested in this paper, which can reduce the number of actuators, is highly excellent compared to other previous methods in terms of the performance and stability of the vibration control systems.

  • 최근 들어 인간의 의지를 각종의 전자시스템에 전달하기 위한 수단으로 음성인식 기술을 이용하고자 하는 연구가 널리 진행되고 있다. 음성인식 인터페이스에서 가장 중요한 이슈는 처리시간의 감소 및 범용 인터페이스의 개발이다. 이러한 문제점을 해결하기 위하여 본 연구에서는 하드웨어 기반의 상용 IC로 생산되고 있는 음성인식프로세서인 RSC-4128이 내장된 음성인식 모듈 VR-STAMP를 사용하였다. 본 연구에서 새롭게 개발한 시스템은 T2SI(Text To Speaker Independent) 기반의 화자(話者)독립 방식으로 음성인식 신호를 컨텐츠 네비게이션 시스템의 제어신호로 활용하여 임베디드 시스템 및 PC 등에 설치된 윈도우즈 기반의 응용 소프트웨어를 제어할 수 있는 시스템이다. 필드 테스트를 통해 그 유용성을 확인한 결과, 본 연구에서 개발한 시스템은 컨텐츠 네비게이션은 물론 가전기기 제어 및 흠 네트워크 등에 널리 응용될 수 있을 것으로 판단된다.

  • 외부 Ballast Capacitor를 이용한 Voltage Doubler 전원장치를 이용하여 Micro size의 대기압 플라즈마를 발생장치를 개발하였다. 2개의 외부 Capacitor를 병렬로 연결하여 충전한 다음 외부 Capacitor를 직렬로 연결하여 전압을 2배압 시킨 상태에서 방전이 일어나도록 하였다. Capacitor의 충 방전 제어는 Switch Device인 Insulated Gate Bipolar Transistor (IGBT)를 사용하였다. 개발된 대기압 플라즈마는 외부 Capacitor와 인가전압을 독립적으로 변화시킬 수 있기 때문에 방전 시 전류 전압을 독립적으로 제어할 수 있으며 용도에 따라 Glow 방전에서 Arc 방전까지 제어가 가능하다. 본 연구에서는 900 V의 1.22 nF 외부 Capacitor 방전과 400 V의 10 nF 외부 Capacitor 방전을 비교하였다. 방전 시 전압파형과 전류파형은 서로 다르지만 소비된 방전에너지는 340 ${\mu}J$로 동일하다. ICCD camera와 Spectrometer를 이용하여 비교 분석을 실시하였다. 방전 image 및 Optical Emission Spectroscopy 분석을 이용하여 플라즈마의 온도, 밀도 등을 시간적, 공간적으로 분석하였다.

  • 단순 부품부터 계통까지 기존의 아날로그 제품들이 최근 들어 펌 웨어(Firmware)와 고수준의 컴퓨터 언어로 구현된 응용 소프트웨어를 포함하는 디지털 설비로 바뀌고 있다. 따라서 어느 때 보다 소프트웨어의 확인 및 검증의 중요성이 대두되고 있으며, 이를 위해 학계뿐만 아니라 국제표준 기관에서 확인 및 검증을 위한 지침을 제시하고 있는 실정이다. 본 논문은 원자력발전소 출력을 제어하는 제어봉제어계통의 업그레이드와 관련하여 IEEE 1012 에 따라 수행된 독립 확인 및 검증 업무를 요약하고, 이를 통해 얻은 교훈을 기술한다.

Branch Misprediction Recovery Mechanism That Exploits Control Independence on Program (프로그램 상의 제어 독립성을 이용한 분기 예상 실패 복구 메커니즘)

  • Control independence has been put forward as a new significant source of instruction-level parallelism for superscalar processors. In branch prediction mechanisms, all instructions after a mispredicted branch have to be squashed and then instructions of a correct path have to be re-fetched and re-executed. This paper presents a new branch misprediction recovery mechanism to reduce the number of instructions squashed on a misprediction. Detection of control independent instructions is accomplished with the help of the static method using a profiling and the dynamic method using a control flow of program sequences. We show that the suggested branch misprediction recovery mechanism improves the performance by 2~7% on a 4-issue processor, by 4~15% on an 8-issue processor and by 8~28% on a 16-issue processor.

  • This paper investigates the fault generation type and the cause of output interruptionsin bulky with $30^{\sim}500[KVA]$ double conversion UPS, and proposes the fault detection method to improve the reliability of power supply used in the critical load in industry. Identifies its existing way of detecting a quality of inverter output it to bypass when exceeds its expectation. Under a UPS managing system, when an inner (Power device, Controller, CPU) fault occurs it disrupts the power supply and these occurrences has been verified by the results of experiments and application results. To overcome these problems, the proposed method constructs independently a fault-detection, a bypass-control device and a triple power supply apart from the conventional UPS operation. Also the detection point is changed to the preceding of a circuit breaker, a reference of fault detection is modified to avoid any clash and the breaking equipment is attached to intercept a spread of accident. As a result of applications of these developed systems to 242 UPS which was installed purposefully to the communication power supply, the service errors has not occurred in the UPS for two years since 2006.

  • This paper presents the off-grid PV-ESS system of sequential voltage control method applied to OR logic gate. The conventional off-grid PV-ESS system with the low-voltage series connection has problems due to capacity expansion. To solve these problems, this paper proposes a noble PV-ESS system with high efficiency and low cost by applying sequential voltage control technique of the high-voltage series connection of analog circuit type. The input voltage of DC to AC inverter can be converted from the low-voltage by the combinations of series connection of the conventional cascaded 24V solar cell unit modules to the high-voltage of 384V in battery. The output voltage of the battery was 384V as the each input voltage of three phase DC to AC inverter, and the each output voltage of three phase 10kW DC to AC inverter is designed to be AC380V@60Hz as the line to line rms voltage value. To prove the validity of the theoretical analysis by PSIM simulation, the operating characteristics of sequential voltage control system with OR logic gate were confirmed through experiment results.

  • This paper discusses the maneuvering control algorithm based on all-wheel independent driving and steering control techniques for special purpose 6WD/WS vehicles. The maneuvering control algorithms considering superior dynamic characteristics of high power in-wheel motors and independent steering system are designed to perform driving, steering, vehicle stability, and fault tolerant control. The maneuvering controller applies sliding and optimal control theories considering optimal torque distribution and friction circle related to the vertical tire force. The fault tolerant control algorithm is applied to obtain the similar maneuverability to that of the non-faulty vehicle. The simulations using the Matlab/Simulink dynamics model and experiments using HIL simulator mounting the real controllers with the designed control algorithms prove the improved performances in terms of vehicle stability and maneuverability.

Model-Free Longitudinal Acceleration Controller Design and Implementation Quickly and Easily Applicable for Different Control Interfaces of Automated Vehicles Considering Unknown Disturbances (자율 주행 제어 인터페이스에 강건하며 빠르고 쉽게 적용 가능한 모델 독립식 종 방향 가속도 제어기 개발 및 성능 검증)

  • This paper presents a longitudinal acceleration controller that can be applied to real vehicles (nonlinear and time-varing systems) with only a simple experiment regardless of the type of vehicle and the control interface structure. The controller consists of a feedforward term for fast response, a zero-throttle acceleration compensation term, and a feedback term (P gain) to compensate for errors in the feedforward term, and another feedback term (I gain) to respond to disturbances such as slope. In order to easily apply it to real vehicles, there are only two tuning parameters, feedforward terms of throttle and brake control. And the remaining parameters can be calculated immediately when the two parameters are decided. The tuning procedure is also unified so that it can be quickly and easily applied to various vehicles. The performance of the controller was evaluated using MATLAB/Simulink and Truksim's European Ben model. In addition, the controller was successfully implemented to 3 medium-sized vehicle (HMC Solati), which is composed of different control interface characteristic. Vehicle driving performance was evaluated on the test track and on the urban roads in Siheung and Seoul.
