This paper grasps about various features of the coauthorship network based on the co-author frequency in the Korean LIS Research Community. This issue includes many topics such as changable aspects of coauthorship network, properties of higher cooperative authors groups. This work is mostly analyzed through a bibliographic analysis of articles which is published from 2000 to 2009(10 years) in Korean Library & Information Science major four journals. The results show three major implications. 1) There is a various structural changes of coauthorship network on the change of the co-author frequency. 2) There are 21 research pairs in the higher cooperative authors groups with the co-author frequency more than five. 3) There seems that any subjective relations between the articles which is produced by 21 research pairs were not clearly presents.

The purpose of this study is to describe the experience of visually impaired academic researchers' use of scholarly contents and to explore intrinsic nature of the experience. In-depth interview was conducted with a total number of twelve visually impaired academic researchers and the data were analyzed using Colaizzi's phenomenological research method. A total of 107 significant statements were extracted, divided into 44 themes and 12 theme clusters. The statements were then classified into four categories. The 'scholarly contents acquisition and use' category has to do with difficulties that these experience when negotiating with internet sites with poor web accessibility and full-text availability. The 'changes in perception and emotions' category deals with transitions in perception and mood experienced by visually impaired academic researchers' over time. The 'relationships with support personnel' category includes issues related with the difficulty of securing support person, support person's inadequate level of competence, and establishing/sustaining personal relationships. Finally, the 'improvement requirements' category includes issues that these researchers want resolved with regard to contents acquisition and use.

This study examined the frequency, format, and activity of Internet references of four major journals in Library and Information Science in Korea. Sampled articles of each journal were published during 2002-2009. The results show five implications. 1) Overall 15.5% of all references were Internet references. 2) The number of Internet references has continuously increased since 2002. 3) The type of Internet references were most commonly "web document(84.3%), followed by" PDF(14%). 4) Nearly 55% of Internet reference were ".or(org)" and ".ac(edu))". 5) The percentage of inactive Internet references increased from 34.4% at 3 years to 44.1% at 5 years and to 53.3% at 10 years after publication. Although this study may not be representative of the entire field, it shows that Internet references occurred frequently and were often inaccessible within years after publication.

This study aims to suggest the ways to reinforce academic library's research support services for professors and researchers in Korea. For this purpose, this study collected the development plans of academic libraries in Korea, and analysed the plans for supporting research activities, and also analysed each library's homepage. And this research classified the research support services of academic libraries into eight types for further analysis. The types are 'subject guide', 'academic information literacy', 'research analysis service', 'research consulting', 'research ethics education', 'thesis writing guide', 'bibliography management program', 'interlibrary loan·original text copy'. As a result, it is shown that the most libraries emphasized 'custom-tailored user education' and marked it on development plan. As subsequent plans, libraries provided the action plans of 'expansion of scholarly DB instruction on each subject', 'expansion of custom-tailored research support services', 'construction of research support service system' one after another. This study suggests 'activation of subject guide service', 'expansion of academic information literacy programs for supporting research', 'introduction of research performance analysis services', and 'support for establishment of research ethics' as ways to strengthen academic libraries' research support services.

With the era of the 4th Industrial Revolution, the number of data-centric integrated researches increases. The integrated researches make information identification and linkage more important, so it is necessary to seek a method to efficiently manage and share academic-information for supporting the researches. Therefore, this study aims to analyze identification system and linkable information types of 12 major academic search engines and bibliographic databases(ASEBDs) in Korea and abroad and to propose a method to identify and link academic-information. The analysis was conducted 2 times, and academic-information types, searchable fields, linkable information types, used identification system were investigated. As a result, the ASEBDs link directly or/and indirectly 3~4 information types based on their own identifiers with persistent identifiers. In addition, they identify academic-information semi-automatically based on machine learning methodology and collect and manage the related data. Finally, the method for academic-information linkage was proposed in terms of practice and society: linkage based on persistent identifiers and linkage based on collaborative network of institutions.
The purpose of this study is to suggest formulation of collection development policies of electronic materials for special libraries related to economy and society. First, according to the basic directions and aims of special libraries, the written collection development policies should be codified. Second, the electronic materials selection committee or collection development committee should be formed at the organization level. Third, the special libraries should make advantageous contracts of purchase based on the cooperations between libraries through the formation of a consortium. Fourth, librarians in charge of collection development need to have substantial work abilities to cope with their role and expertism in the electronic environment. Fifth, to activate electronic materials, the strategy for budget increases should be made.

This study aims to compare the statistical indicators of libraries of 57 Korean universities and 116 North American universities using Rinfo and ARL statistics respectively. The authors compared twelve similar statistical indicators and found that North American academic libraries were superior in 'volumes in library', 'electronic books', 'total staff', 'total library materials expenditures', 'total items borrowed', 'total items loaned', 'library presentations to groups', and 'participants in group presentations', compared to Korean academic libraries. Although Korean academic libraries showed higher numbers in 'annual gate count', 'reference transactions', 'initial circulations', and 'full-text article requests', there exist some differences in definitions and scopes of these indicators between Rinfo and ARL, needing cautious interpretation of results. The findings of the study imply the needs of expanding support for academic libraries that play pivotal roles in increasing competitiveness of teaching and research of universities. It was also found that systematic management and improvement for statistical indicators of Rinfo are necessary.

Through the data communication services in the mobile field in the past of a voice call center (SMS, E-Mail, web surfing, etc.), it has evolved as a "service of smartphone-based" life convenience. According to the latest world book publishing market statistics, the while increasing the proportion of e-books, the proportion of this paper are commercially being reduced. Paper this many e-books in the development of, but active communication in this paper By fusing an NFC-based mobile environment that provides a function to complement the disadvantage of electronic books has, it can give to meet the matters required in more diverse applications. Therefore, in this paper, in order to design and implement an NFC-based mobile phonic fairy book application of, and the efficiency and maintenance of the development through a way to save on rather than storing the information of the management target device server We have implemented a NFC-based mobile education phonic fairy book application that takes into account.
