The purpose of this study is to examine the features of Internet bookshops in order to suggest the most effective website model for them. Seven Internet bookshop websites are analyzed. The evaluating criteria includes: interface layout, contents, function aspects. The results show that a suggested model should include various aspects: 1) user-centered menu structure, 2) effective search methodlsubject directory, and 3) various and good quality review.

This study has compared the job performance of librarian director with that of non-librarian director, by making use of the public library evaluation research executed by Ministry of Culture ＆ Tourism. The result was that the performance score of librarian director is much superior to that of non-librarian director. It is found that the more director's librarianship level is high, the more director's performance score is high. Moreover, it is confirmed a clear relationship between director's performance score and his librarianship level. And so it is evaluated that 'the Library and Reading Promotion Act' which regulates only a librarian to be a public library director is absolutely right.

본 연구의 목적은 중국 연변조선족자치구에 현존하는 각종 유형의 도서관문헌 정보사업 현황과 문제점을 밝히는데 있다. 본 연구의 의의는 공개된 자료가 미미하고 정형화된 자료가 부족한 상황에서 실태조사를 병행하여 상세한 정보를 제공한 점이다. 도서관의 현대화작업은 90 년대 후반기부터 컴퓨터를 도입하여 전개되기 시작하였고, 연변과학기술대학도서관의 경우는 현대화된 시설을 갖추고 한국의 선진 도서관리 방법을 도입하여 도서관을 운영하고 있으나, 기타 도서관들은 부분적으로 전자 연람실을 구축하여 서비스하고 있다. 그러나 현재 조선족자치주 대부분의 도서관들은 자금부족으로 현대화된 도서관을 구축하지 못하고 있는 실정이다. 앞으로 지도층에서의 중점사업으로의 추진과 서부대개발사업의 우대정책을 통해 자금 확보를 도모하여 도서관의 현대화 건설의 추진을 기해야 할 것이다.

전자정보 형태로 서비스를 제공함에 따라 자료실 공간이용률이 떨어지는 것을 막기 위해 학술정보는 전자형태로 제공함을 지향하는 반면, 직원들의 교양과 품격을 높일 수 있는 정보제공을 위해 오프라인 서비스를 강화하고자 한다. 일명 '비타민 북'이라는 브랜드로 교양도서를 구입하여 별도 배가 및 운영을 하고 있다. '비타민 북'은 매월 20여권의 교양도서를 선정하여 입수하며, 이용률을 높이기 위해 일반 학술서적과 달리 대출기간 및 대출권수 등을 달리 적용하여 제공하고 있다.
