In this study, considering the National Memorial of the Korean Provisional Government as a "Larchiveum," the researchers attempted to develop a classification system that can comprehensively categorize various types of materials and propose a method of providing an online service. To this end, as a case study, the researchers examined the classification system structure and contents of the National Archives of Korea, National Assembly Archives, and Archives of Korean History of the National Institute of Korean History, which are the current material collection institutions of the Korean Provisional Government. Regarding online services, apart from the three institutions above, the Imperial War Museum and the Hoover Institution at Stanford University were also explored. Through the implications derived from the case analysis of domestic and foreign institutions, a basic hierarchical classification system by provenance for the materials held by the institution was established, and a multi-classification system was presented according to the classification criteria of "by type, by era, and by subject." In addition, methods of applying the developed classification system to online services were proposed.

The purpose of this study is to transform the sub-categorization terms of the National Science and Technology Standards Classification System into technical keywords by applying a machine learning algorithm. For this purpose, AttentionMeSH was used as a learning algorithm suitable for topic word recommendation. For source data, four-year research status files from 2017 to 2020, refined by the Korea Institute of Science and Technology Planning and Evaluation, were used. For learning, four attributes that well express the research content were used: task name, research goal, research abstract, and expected effect. As a result, it was confirmed that the result of MiF 0.6377 was derived when the threshold was 0.5. In order to utilize machine learning in actual work in the future and to secure technical keywords, it is expected that it will be necessary to establish a term management system and secure data of various attributes.

This study investigated general problems concerning the physical education field in the KDC 6th edition based on comparative analysis of academic characteristics and classification system, and suggested some ideas for the improvements of them. Results of this study are is summarized as follows. First, while the academic classification divided items focusing on theoretical disciplines such as physical education, sociology, or business administration, the library classification divided them into details according to sport entries. Second, We examined the classification status of the physical education field of the collection database in the National Library of Korea. The number of physical education field data was 38,585, and of them, that of books having classification codes starting with 692(physical education, sports) was 22,870. This shows that data actually have been published mainly based on academic characteristics rather than sport entries, which causes a problem due to concentration of many data on one classification code. Therefore, this study analyzed keywords around these classification codes. Third, modified classification of items was basically performed through the academic system of the physical education and the keyword analysis, and the typical KDC classification system was maintained as much as possible.

Bliss stated that one of the purposes of the classification was to demonstrate that a coherent and comprehensive system, based on the logical principles of classification and consistent with the systems of science and education, may be available to services in libraries, to aid revision of long established classifications and to provide an adaptable, efficient and economical classification, notation and index. A fundamental principle is the idea of subordination each specific subject is subordinated to the appropriate general one. The full scheme followed the publication of two massive theoretical works on the organization of knowledge. Its main feature was the carefully designed maul class order. reflecting Comte principle of gradation in speciality.

The purpose of this study is to devise a classification scheme to arrange the agricultural information efficiently. In the first part it defines the agricultural science and studies the content and system of the agricultural science. It compares current KDC with DDC, UDC and NDC used to agriculture parts, and it studies AGRICOLA SCC. On the basis of it, this study is displayed the new classification for the agricultural science. The new classification scheme Is classified by the basic theories related to agriculture, agriculture of plants, animal agriculture, food products, and auxiliary disciplines in turn. The number of main divisions are set up 23 items.

Although the research information resources on Internet are spread out on thousands of computers, it is not always easy to get them on the right time by the right manner. The purpose of this study is to use DDC(Dewey Decimal Classification) scheme in subject-based directory search engine for research information resourcees to aid retrieval on the Internet. For the design of classification code, this study followed 'systematic order' of DDC to arrange subjects from the general o the specific in a logical order, and for the design of classification dictionary, 'Relative Index' of DDC was used to bring together the various aspects of subjects.

This study investigated general problems concerning the food and nutrition field in the KDC 4th edition based comparative analysis DOC, NDC, and Disciplinary Classification System of Korean Research Foundation, and suggested on some ideas for the improvements of them. Results of the study is summarized as follows. First, the knowledge classification of the food and nutrition field is divided by nutrition, food, and food service management. Second, the library classification of the food and nutrition field deals separately with nutrition and food, namely the nutrition is subdivided in medical science and food is subdivided in home economics. Third, the food and nutrition field in the KDC 4th edition had to be improved to use current terminology, to choose appropriate headings, and to subdivide the subjects more to introduce new topics.

As the development of advertising industry and media the research about an advertisement get accomplished. As the result information resources called on the advertising materials are on an Increasing trend. However, it looks into the classification system In advertising field of KDC, the problems are as the follows : (1) the classification items are too incomplete, (2) the main class is badly arranged. The reason have no regard for the correlation with a science. So, it gives rise to confusion to the librarian and user. The purpose of the study is to present the improvement plan on the classification system in advertising field of KDC. In order to build the improvement plan, the four steps are utilized. The first step Is to investigate the characteristic of sciences on advertising and a type. The second one is to survey the current status of the library classification as KDC, NDC, DDC, and LCC. The third one is to analyse the classification system of library and web site on the advertising. The forth one is to grasp the problems on the classification system In advertising field of KDC.

This study is to suggest the revitalization plan of the medical school libraries in the future, on the basis of analysis for the overall operation situation of the medical school libraries among the medical libraries. So based on the website, it is divided into 1) whether independent homepage exists, 2) service target, 3) books, 4) classification system, 5) manpower, 6) facilities (area, number of seats available), 7) equipment (pc, printer, copy machine, etc.), 8) services, and then analyzed. Consequently, as the ways to revitalize the medical libraries, firstly, it is necessary to establish legal standards and develop guidelines for the medical school library's books, sizes, librarians, etc. Secondly, establishing a cooperative community network between medical school libraries is necessary. Thirdly, policies such as support at the national level, specialization education of librarians, development of operational guidelines, and activation of inter-library networks are needed to revitalize the medical school libraries. It is also expected that research on the actual situation of the medical libraries should be conducted at the national level or at the level of the association of medical libraries.
