The purpose of this study is to provide library users with the effective way of use on academic library and its collection. In order to achieve this purpose the menu structure and question contents appearing at the FAQs of academic library Website were analyzed. And also, guidelines for effective use of a university library via FAQ at different access stages were proposed. It is expected that the result of this study can help both a Web designer to the development and implementation of efficient library FAQs and a creator of a library use guidebook.

본 연구에서 개발된 참고봉사 지원시스템은 도서관 안내정보시스템과 주제ㆍ토픽 전문가시스템으로 구성된다. 도서관 안내정보시스템은 도서관의 이용정보, 자료이용방법, 온라인목록의 사용방법 등에 관한 안내정보를 제공하는 시스템이다. 주제ㆍ토픽 전문가시스템은 정보사서가 가지고 있는 석유화학분야의 정보조사제공과 관련된 경험적 지식을 이용하여 관련 정보를 제공하는 전문가시스템이다. 본 연구에서 개발된 참고봉사 지원시스템은 IBM 호환기종의 개인용 컴퓨터(IBM PC AT 286 이상)에서 운영되며, 본 시스템의 개발언어로는 얘기보따리, 멀티미디어 메이커(Multimedia Maker), 1st-CLASS를 사용하였다.

The purpose of this study is to introduce the Podcast's concept, to perform the theoretical research of Podcast services based on Web 2.0, to analyze the application cases of Podcast for academic and public library services in USA, and to propose the proper application programs of Podcast in Korean academic & public libraries. As the results of this study, through the Podcast, the public libraries have served these : library & events introduction, user instruction, community news, special lecture, storytelling, library tour, etc, and the academic libraries have served these : special topic librarian introduction, special lectures, seminar, forum, addition to library tour. The results of this study will give the good examples for planning Podcast programs in Korean academic & public libraries.

공공도서관은 모든 사람에게 평등하게 서비스를 제공해야 하는 기관이기 때문에 시각장애인과 같은 도서관 이용에 불편을 겪는 사람에게도 도서관 이용을 위한 서비스를 제공하여야 한다. 그러나 오늘날 우리나라의 도서관은 시각장애인등 도서관 이용에 불편을 겪는 사람들을 위한 서비스는 거의 존재하지 않으며 장애인이 아닌 정상인을 위한 공간으로 인식되어 왔다. 본 시스템은 NFC태그를 이용한 도서관 안내 시스템으로 책의 위치정보를 책과 책장에 부착된 NFC태그를 이용하여 읽어들이고 책의 위치정보를 음성으로 사용자에게 제공함으로써 도서관을 이용할 때, 책을 검색하고 금방 찾는 것이 힘든 시각장애인의 실정을 개선하고자 하였다. 또한 도서관에서 책을 찾는데 필요한 모든 정보들을 음성으로 사용자에게 제공해 시각장애인이 주위사람들의 도움 없이 언제든지 혼자서 도서관을 이용할 수 있도록 설계하였다.

대학도서관 웹사이트는 도서관의 이용을 원활하게 하고 정보자료에의 접근을 용이하게 하기 위해서 구성된다. 따라서, 웹사이트를 통해 도서관 서비스에 대한 안내, 이용자의 편의를 위한 온라인 참고봉사 서비스, 과거 수동적인 자세가 아닌 능동적인 정보제공서비스 뿐만 아니라 다양한 이용자의 사용행태를 파악하여 이를 통해서 서비스의 질을 높이고, 이용자의 요구사항을 파악하여 도서관 서비스를 개선해나가는 것이 중요한 화두가 되고 있다. 본 연구에서는 충남대학교 도서관 웹사이트를 대상으로 설문조사(Questionnaire)와 발견적 평가(Heuristic Evaluation)를 통해서 대학도서관 웹사이트의 사용성에 있어서의 문제점을 발견하고 개선점을 제시한다.

본 연구에서 구축된 멀티미디어 도서관 정보시스템은 대학도서관을 기본 모형으로 하여 설계하였다. 이 시스템은 7 개의 모듈 즉 참고문헌제공 전문가시스템, 학술지 브라우징, 멀티미디어 데이타베이스, 텍스트 데이타베이스(온라인 열람목록, OPAC), 외부데이타베이스(온라인/CD-ROM/인터넷 데이터베이스), 도서관 이용안내, 시스템이용법으로 구성된다. 시스템의 구현 환경은 IBM 컴퓨터 466DX2/Dp을 사용하고 시스템 개발도구로는 하이퍼텍스트 기능이 첨가된 멀티미디어 저작 도구인 멀티미디어 툴북을 이용하고 이용자 인터페이스는 메뉴방식을 채택하였다.

This study analytically examined library anxiety that various users felt when they use public libraries, by measuring it on K-LAS. The findings show that the library anxiety is varied depending on users' age, gender, academic careers, usage purposes, frequency of use and size of libraries. It suggested the guidance and education about the use of libraries, environmental improvement based on the remodeling of libraries, wearing of nameplates written in big characters for identifying librarians and the education for users' understanding and the provision of device and equipment manuals according the levels of users' experiences, as measures for overcoming the library anxiety, enhancing usage satisfaction and activating usage.

The purpose of this study is to induce a librarian to construct databases lawfully and the user with a copyright and the fair use. Based on information from web sites, the domestic medical libraries(32) were investigated for analyzing how to deal with copyright problems. The results show that only 28% of the medical libraries provide users with information on copyright at their web site. The terminology used was different among libraries. 44.4% of the libraries use 'copyright law' and 33.3% 'copyright' The terminology appeared at the 'notice' menu and 'library guidance' menu. The detail part of copyright contents was shown at 'the data copy and transmission', 'full text DB use', 'thesis and dissertation service', 'FAX/file transfer', 'Image(Ariel)', and 'interlibrary loan'. In general, there was a necessity to the correct understanding of the copyright and fair use.

교육의 국제화로 인해 국내 대학에 재학 중인 유학생의 수가 매년 증가하고 있다. 그러나 유학생들이 학습 자원을 얻기 위한 가장 큰 정보원인 대학도서관은 유학생들을 위한 다국어 지원 서비스를 충분히 제공하고 있지 않은 상황이다. 따라서 본 연구에서는 대학도서관에서 제공하는 서비스 중 다국어 지원이 가능한 서비스 요인들을 선정하고 해당 요인들이 유학생들의 대학도서관 이용 만족도에 미치는 영향을 파악하고자 하였다. 이를 위해 먼저 선행연구를 바탕으로 사서/직원의 서비스(응답능력, 태도), 도서관 시설 이용(시설 안내, 장비 사용), 자료 접근 및 이용(홈페이지, 서가 배치), 이용자 서비스(이용자교육, 기타서비스)를 요인을 도출하였고 회귀분석을 실시하였다. 연구 결과에 따르면 도서관 시설 이용이 대학도서관 이용 만족도에 가장 큰 영향을 미치고 있었으며 사서/직원의 서비스와 이용자 서비스 또한 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다.
