Evaluation of Tensile Material Properties and Confined Performance of GFRP Composite Due to Temperature Elevation (콘크리트 횡구속용 GFRP 보강재의 온도변화에 따른 인장 재료특성 및 구속성능 평가)

  • The performance of concrete structure decreases with change in time and the external environment. In order to reinforce the structure, the research about new material development and application of newly developed materials are widely conducted. In the case of composite FRP, it received good attention in the academia due to its high intensity-weight ratio, excellent corrosion resistency as well as good workability. When applying at the construction field, however, the utilization of FRP did not increase as much due to lack of reliability and design standard. Current study investigated the material characteristics during the temperature change at high temperature and the structural behavior from restraint effect for GFRP reinforcing materials. Two experimental variables were set in this study: GFRP reinforcements due to tensile properties of temperature and restraint compression effects. Three concrete specimen were selected for each set temperatures. For this reason, as a variable to experiment with the effects confined compression concrete members value and tensile properties with temperature reinforcement GFRP, experiment produced three pieces each for each set temperature, the concrete specimen, which is confined in the GFRP was selected each I did. For the temperature change during the experiment, the concrete specimen were mounted in order to expose to experimental high temperature for certain period of time. For compression performance evaluation, reinforcement effect from horizontal constraint of the fiber were measured using an Universal Material Testing Machine (UTM). Finally, this study revealed that the binding characteristics of GFRP materials from temperature change decreased. Also, this study showed that the maximum compression intensity decreased as the temperature increased up to $150^{\circ}C$ in the constraints ability of the GFRP reinforcements during the horizontal constraint of concrete.

Mineralogical and Physical Properties of Lime Plaster used in Wall Repair in Temple of Bagan, Myanmar (미얀마 바간지역 사원 벽체 보수에 사용되는 석회 플라스터의 광물학적 및 물리적 특성)

  • The purposes of this study were to analyze the mineralogical characteristics of slaked lime used for wall repair of traditional buildings in Bagan, Myanmar and to evaluate the physical properties of lime plaster produced by the same method as Bagan region. In the X-ray diffraction and thermal analysis of the Myanmar slaked lime, portlandite ($Ca(OH)_2$) and brucite ($Mg(OH)_2$) were detected as main constituent minerals, and a carbonate rock mainly composed of dolomite ($CaMg(CO_3)_2$) minerals may be used as a raw material to make slaked lime. The field-emission scanning electron microscope analysis showed that the Myanmar slaked lime was composed of irregularly shaped crystals of $0.5{\mu}m$ or larger and a small amount of $0.1{\mu}m$ of plate - like crystals. The size and uniformity of crystals in Myanmar lime is different from that of Korea slaked lime. This may be attributed to the effect of the mineral composition and the lime hydration method of Myanmar, which produces slurry by immersing the burnt lime in excess water for a long period of time. The compressive strength of the lime plaster in Myanmar resulted in a mean value of $1.13N/mm^2$ for the specimens cured for 28 days. The strength of the specimens with Bale juice was $1.03N/mm^2$, respectively. The lime is an air setting material that exhibits strength through long carbonation process. Therefore, it is necessary to evaluate physical properties according to curing period through long-term curing over 28 days in the future.

Deterioration Evaluation Method of Noise Barriers for Managements of Highway (고속도로 방음벽 유지관리를 위한 방음벽 노후도 평가 방안)

  • This research aimed to prepare the classification of the damage types and the damage rating system of noise barriers for expressway noise barriers and to develop deterioration evaluation method of noise barriers by reflecting them. The noise barrier consists of soundproof panels, foundations and posts and the soundproof panels with 10 different types of materials are used in a single or mixed form.In this paper, damage of soundproof panel shows a single or composite damage, and thus a evaluation model of deterioration has been developed for noise barriers that can reflect the characteristic of noise barriers. Materials used mainly for soundproof walls were divided into material types for metal, plastic, timber, transparent and concrete. And damage types for noise barrier were classified into corrosion, discoloration, deformation, spalling and dislocation and damage types were subdivided according to the noise barrier's components and materials. Damage rating was divided into good, minor, normal and severe for each major part of noise barrier to assess damage rating of soundproof panel, foundation and post. The deterioration degree of noise barrier was evaluated comprehensively by using the deterioration evaluation method of whole noise barrier using weighted average. Deterioration evaluation method that can be systematically assessed has been developed for noise barrier using single or mixed soundproof panel and noise barrier with single or complex damage types. Through such an evaluation system, it is deemed that the deterioration status of noise barrier installed can be systematically understood and utilized for efficient maintenance planning and implementation for repair and improvement of noise barriers.

Quality Properties of the Refrigerated or Frozen Irradiated Beef Patty (방사선조사된 패티용 분쇄우육의 가열전 품질특성)

  • Microbial reduction, physicochemical property, and sensory evaluation of irradiated beef patty were investigated. The microbial counts of refrigerated beef patty were reduced to below the number of 3 logs after irradiation at 3 kGy. But no viable microorganism was detected in frozen beef patty irradiated at 3 kGy. Food additives such as nitrite, salt, phosphate and ascorbic acid did not affect on the inactivation of microorganism by irradiation. The irradiation effect on the water holding capacity was not significant, but frozen irradiated beef patty showed higher water holding capacity than refrigerated beef patty. The drip loss of irradiated beef patty did not show significant differences according to irradiation doses. Considering the influence of food additives, the irradiated beef patty mixed with salt and phosphate showed lower drip loss than that without food additives. In refrigerated beef patty, TBARS values were increased with increase of irradiation doses and showed lower values in the beef patty mixed with food additives than that without food additives. The redness of refrigerated beef patty showed highest values at 3 kGy of irradiation and then decreased with increasing irradiation doses, while in the frozen beef patty did not show distinct tendency according to the irradiation doses or food additives. In sensory evaluation. the irradiated beef patty showed unpleasant smell as compared with the non irradiated beef patty, but showed somewhat higher score in smell at the sample contained ascorbic acid regardless of irradiation doses.

A Study on the Estimation Measure of Delay Cost on Work Zone Using the Traffic Flow Model (교통류 모형을 이용한 도로 점용공사 구간의 지체비용 산정방안)

  • The user cost is an important analysis item which should be considered together with life-cycle of facility, administrator cost and discount rate in LCCA for efficient asset management of SOC facilities. Especially, a significant delay cost occurs often for users in the road field due to a work zone for cleaning and maintenance, and in such case, the administrator should consider the administrator cost as well as the user cost for more rational decision making. However, the user cost has not been considered in most decision making steps until recently and relevant studies also have not been carried out actively. In this study, the methodology to estimate the user cost and delay cost required in the decision making step using the traffic flow model and the direct benefit estimation model in the traffic facility investment evaluation guideline is suggested. And, the traffic flow model was estimated on 4 national highway sections where maintenance was actually carried out in 2014 using VISSIM and, the user cost and the delay cost were estimated based on the suggested methodology. The analysis result showed that the average user cost of $17,569,000KRW/km{\times}day$ occurred on Section A with approximately 30,000 AADT before a work zone occurred, and in case the first lane was blocked for maintenance, the delay cost of $10,193,000KRW/km{\times}day$ (158%) on average occurred additionally. The delay cost of $1,507,000KRW/km{\times}day$ (115%) and $1,985,000KRW/km{\times}day$ (119%) occurred on Sections B and D with approximately 20,000 AADT respectively and the delay cost of $262,000KRW/km{\times}day$ (105%) occurred on Section C with approximately 10,000 AADT. This result of this study was estimated based on the simulation of traffic flow model so that there is a limitation in its actual application. A study ot develop a highly appropriate model using actual observation data and improve the possibility to apply it through the verification using the simulation will be necessary in future.

Investigation of the Korean Traditional Hobun(Oyster shell W.) Manufacturing Technique : Centering on Calcination Method (전통 호분(합분) 제조기술 연구 : 소성방법을 중심으로)

  • Hobun(Oyster shell W.) is a traditional material used as extender and white pigment from ancient times. The production method of it, however, has been discontinued. We have studied the traditional production method of Hobun through calcination of oyster shell, which is one of the traditional ways for preparing Hobun. Our work has the important meaning in that we can reproduce the manufacturing method of the discontinued traditional material and also it provides a solid background knowledge to stabilize the production and supply of Hobun for the cultural asset repairing materials. The result can be summarized as followings: The production processes of Hobun by calcination method are divided into 4 steps - calcination ${\rightarrow}$ slaking(pulverization) ${\rightarrow}$ separating fine powder by submergence in water ${\rightarrow}$ drying. In calcination step, the temperature is required to exceed $700^{\circ}$ to get pure white color of Hobun, since organic materials in the shell cause the final powder to be less white below $600^{\circ}$. And the calcination methods produce significant amount of calcium hydroxide, which is incongruent for pigment materials without additional treatments. The experimental study also demonstrated that the additional treatment process introduced in traditional paintings can be a probable process since the calcium of potassium hydroxide is observed to be promoted by this treatment. It is also concluded that, the calcination method of Hobun is appropriate for a small amount and high quality production.

  • The serious consequences of the roadside erosion and its impact on sedimentation and deterioration of roadside landscape continue to be documented in Koreas. An analysis on the landscape conservation treatments was made through the field survey for the 8 radial roadsides around Seoul area. This was performed to identify and evaluate the present restoration measures, and to establish the practical standard measures for the landscape conservation treatments on the cut-and banking roadside slopes.

  • 디자인 패턴은 새롭게 만들어 지는 것이 아니라 기존의 검증된 지식, 관용법, 원칙들을 체계화한 것이다. 다시 말하면 디자인 패턴은 특정한 문제를 해결하기 위한, 검증된 설계 방법에 이름을 붙인 것이다. 그러므로 적절한 디자인 패턴 사용은 1) 개발자들간의 원활한 의사소통에 도움을 주며, 2) 하급자가 고급기술을 쉽게 익힐 수 있도록 할 수 있다. 3) 또한 사용된 디자인이나 아키텍처를 재사용할 수 있도록 하고, 4) 만들어진 시스템의 유지 보수를 보다 쉽게 할 수 있는 등의 장점을 얻을 수 있다. 반면에 필요하지 않은 곳에 까지 디자인패턴을 사용하게 되면 소프트웨어를 복잡하고, 유지보수도 어렵게 만들 수 있다. 디자인 패턴의 분류는 수 많은 패턴을 비슷한 속성을 지닌 그룹들로 조직화 하는 것이다. 이는 개발자가 특정 문제에 맞는 디자인 패턴을 쉽게 선택 할 수 있도록 도와 줄 뿐만 아니라, 디자인 패턴의 주요특성을 빠르게 이해하고 간파 할 수 있게 한다. 그래서 Beck 이 디자인패턴을 소개한 이후 GoF, Buschmann, Grand, Antoy 등은 디자인 패턴을 단순히 열거를 통해 소개하지 않고, 각자의 기준에 따라 체계적으로 분류하여 패턴을 설명 하고 있다. 본 연구는 객체지향 설계의 근본 개념인 Polymorphism (Inclusion Polymorphism) 과 '객체 지향 소프트웨어 설계 원칙' 그리고 이 근본 원칙들이 UML 클래스 다이어그램에 나타나는 구조적 특정에 의거해 디자인 패 턴 해석을 수행 하였다. 본 연구의 목적은 1) 객체지향의 근본 원칙으로 표현 되는 패턴과 2) 설계자의 전문적 인 Art를 포함하고 있는 패턴으로 분류하는데 있다.3: 재미는 용이성을 통해 채택의도에 정의 영향을 미친다. 가설4: 유용성은 채택의도에 정의 영향을 미친다. 가설5: 용이성은 채택의도에 정의 영향을 미친다. 가설6: 용이성은 유용성에 정의 영향을 미친다. 본 연구의 대상은 자발적으로 이러닝을 채택할 수 있는 대학생을 대상으로 하였고, 설문 데이터 분석을 통한 실증연구를 수행하였다. 분석방법으로는 PLS 분석도구를 사용하였다. 분석결과 가설6을 제외하고는 모두 유용한 것으로 입증되었다.97)은 배움의 용이성, 기억의 용이성, 오류, 효율성, 만족성으로 분류하고 있고(Nielsen, 1997), Shneiderman(1998)는 효과성(직무시간, 배움의 시간), 효율성(기억의 지속시간, 오류), 만족도를 품질의 특성으로 분류하였다. 이와 같은 소프트웨어의 품질은 소프트웨어 계획, 개발, 성장과 쇠퇴의 모든 과정에 적용되며, 환경적 변화에 따라 사용자들의 정보욕구를 적절하게 반영하여 만족도를 높이 는 것이라고 요약할 수 있다. 그러나 현재까지 소프트웨어 품질 평가에 대한 연구들 은 보편적인 평가 항목들을 대상으로 측정하여 일반적인 품질기준을 제시하고 있고, 유사한 측정 내용들이 중복되어 있다. 이러한 경향은 산업별 특수성이 강한 소프트웨어에 대해서는 정확한 품질측정이 어려웠고, 품질측정에 대한 신뢰성을 떨어뜨리는 계기가 되었다. 이러한 한계를 극복하고자 나타난 방법론이 최종사용자들의 요구사항을 얼마나 적절하게 시스템에 반영했는지에 대한 사용성(Usability) 측정이다. 사용성에 대한 정의는 사용자들이 실질적으로 일하는 장소에서 직접 사용자들의 시스템 운용실태를 파악하여 문제점을 개선하는 것으로 요약할 수 있다.   • Seismic of the Korean Peninsula is terrible about 1,900 times. Lately, because of a world-occurring seismic, investment of seismic design about ground & structures come to the force as means to protect national life and property. This study evaluated having seismic performance above design criteria among the existing port structures not applied seismic design. Based on the results, classified apprehensive area of liquefaction from seismic performance evaluation and made hazards according to liquefaction risk & structural performance using the analysis of seismic performance and GIS method. After Establishing quantitative & detailed input database through liquefaction evaluation and seismic performance, analysed all seismic data are used directly valuation data on repair reinforcement for apprehensive area of earthquakes.
