Development and Application of an Evaluation Tool for Serious Games (기능성 게임 평가 도구 개발 및 적용)

  • The main purpose of this research is to develop and apply an evaluation tool of serious games for science learning. To develop the evaluation tool, probing references and analyzing previously generated evaluation tools and softwares were carried out. After that, 17 experts in elementary science education appraised serious games, 'milc & seereal', made by Gwacheon National Science Museum with the evaluation tool. The findings on the characteristics of good serious games from assessments are as follows; The learning objects of the games are coincident with national science curriculum, they strongly stimulate the students' motivation, the interfaces are neat and pretty useful for users to get informations, games are easy to maintain, inexpensive, and moral. When we develop or select serious games for science class, the strengths of good games should be considered.

A study on influence of pre-service early childhood teacher's achievement motivation and social intelligence on their social problem solving ability (예비유아교사의 성취동기와 사회지능이 사회문제해결력에 미치는 영향력 분석)

  • This study analyzed the relationship between the achievement motivation and social intelligence in pre-service early childhood teachers and their achievement motivation and social intelligence. The achievement motivation Inventory for pre-service early childhood teachers (Song, 2004), the social intelligence questionnaire (Han, 2011) and the Children's social problem solving ability scale (Huh, 1999) were administered to 193 pre-service early childhood teachers. The data underwent Pearson correlation analysis using the SPSS 21.0 program. The results of this study were as follows. First, there were significant positive relationships among the achievement motivation, social intelligence, and social problem solving ability. Second, the achievement motivation and social intelligence was an important factor for predicting the social problem solving ability of pre-service early childhood teachers.

  • 본 논문은 최근 출시된 반 고흐 VR 예술작품의 2D 및 3D 콘텐츠에 대한 경험을 분석했다. 두 가지의 콘텐츠에서 쾌락적 특성이 강하게 나타났으며, 원작의 재생산된 작품으로서가 아니라 새로운 창작물로 인지되었다. 콘텐츠의 일반적 특성과 마찬가지로, 몰입감의 경우에도 2D 보다는 3D 콘텐츠에 대한 평가가 더욱 긍정적으로 이루어졌으며, 두 가지의 콘텐츠에서 가장 높게 평가된 몰입감 요인은 주의집중력으로 제시되었다. 특히 3D 콘텐츠의 경우, 다감각적 촉진은 가상공간에서의 현존감(presence)과 관련된 육체적 움직임에 대한 역동성에 영향을 미쳤으며, 원작에 대한 현존감은 가상공간에서의 현존감과 몰입감으로 대체되었다. 3D 기반의 콘텐츠는 학습에 대한 내재적 동기부여를 비롯, 그룹 토의의 활성화, 예술작품 및 작가에 대한 관심 증가 등의 몰입형 학습 도구로서의 효용성이 유의미하게 나타났다. 비록 2D 및 3D 콘텐츠의 몰입학습을 위한 도구로서의 적합성이 예술작품에 대한 감상 및 해석도구로서의 적합성보다 높게 제시되기는 했지만, 예술작품의 진정성과 아우라라는 관점에서 보면 '회화적 동일성'은 존재했지만 콘텐츠의 재창조적 특성으로 인해 '미학적 동일성'은 보장되지 못했다. 이러한 현상은 VR 예술작품의 콘텐츠 제작 목적의 상이함 뿐만 아니라 기술적 정교함 및 예술적 전문성 결여에 기인한다.

  • Web의 등장으로 디지털 정보의 표현이 텍스트 위주의 단순한 미디어에서 이미지, 오디오, 비디오를 포함하는 멀티미디어 데이터로 급격히 변화하였다. 이에 따라 다양한 미디어를 통합 표현하기 위한 요구가 확산되어 1998년 XML을 기반으로 한 SMIL이라는 멀티미디어 데이터의 통합을 위한 동기화 정보 기술 언어의 표준이 W3C에 의해 발표되었다. 본 논문에서는 다양한 전문 분야의 정보를 가진 사용자들이 SMIL에 대한 기본적인 지식만으로 쉽게 멀티미디어 문서를 작성할 수 있도록 하는 저작도구의 개발에 대하여 기술하였다.

Effect of Passion to Motivation on Major Students for Security Martial Arts (경호무도 전공생의 동기가 열정에 미치는 영향)

  • The purpose of this study was to verify the effect of passion on major students for security martial arts. Participants were selected 393 undergraduate students who study security martial arts. Sampling was used by purposive sample method. Measurements were used with multi-dimensional passion and motivation scales. Statistic was executed descriptive statistics, exploratory factor analysis, Pearson's correlation and multiple linear regression. The results of this study were as follows: First, motivation of student for security martial arts has influencing relationship with harmonious passion. Second, motivation has influencing relationship with obsessive passion. Third, motivation has influencing relationship with sense of unity. Forth, motivation has influencing relationship with preference of passion. Fifth, motivation has influencing relationship with value of passion. Sixth, motivation has influencing relationship with investment of passion. That is, internal motivation such as giving value and inner satisfaction gives positive effect to passion above mentioned factors but a motivation gives negative effect to passion.

Development and Validation of Academic Motivation Scale for Medical Students based on Self-Determination Theory (자기 결정성 이론에 근거한 의과대학생 학업 동기 척도 개발과 타당화)

  • This study is to develop and validate the academic motivation scale for medical students(AMSMS) based on self-determination theory. After composing preliminary questions from 74 students, a preliminary and main survey were conducted with 148 and 300 students from September to November 2020. Factor analysis, reliability analysis, and correlation analysis were used. As a result of exploratory and confirmatory factor analysis, construct validity was verified. The fitness index of the five-factor model of amotivation, external regulation, introjected regulation, identified regulation, intrinsic motivation was good. The reliability of each factor was ranged from 0.760 to 0.933. The criterion validity of AMSMS was verified by showing a correlation with academic self-efficacy and school life satisfaction. This results show that the AMSMS is both valid and reliable, and it is expected to be used in research related to academic motivation of medical students in the future.

An Analysis of Cases of Real-time Online Class Design by Pre-service Science Teachers (예비 과학 교사의 실시간 온라인 수업 설계 사례 분석)

  • This study aimed to analyze cases of online class design by pre-service science teachers to identify the teaching strategies employed for online classes. For this purpose, the real-time online class lesson plans of 12 pre-service science teachers, who had experienced education utilizing online teaching tools for a semester, were collected and analyzed. The pre-service science teachers considered all the elements that were essential in traditional face-to-face class designs, including prerequisites, statements of learning objectives, stimulating motivation, teaching and learning methods, wrapping up, teacher-student interaction, and assessment. They devised teaching strategies that could overcome the limitations of online teaching and were not feasible in face-to-face classes for each element. Additionally, they were considering new instructional strategies tailored to the online teaching environment, such as creating a conducive environment for using online teaching tools and strategies related to checking the online teaching environment. However, for statements of learning objectives, stimulating motivation, and wrapping up, most of the pre-service science teachers predominantly utilized teaching strategies from traditional face-to-face classes, especially those involving the presentation of visual materials through online tools. Student-centered approaches were rarely implemented in stimulating motivation or wrapping up. These findings imply that one semester of exposure to the utilization of online teaching tools may be insufficient in teacher education. Thus, there is a need for a continuous and expanded educational program on the utilization of online teaching tools as part of pre-service teacher education.

  • It is possible but not efficient to model and simulate asynchronous microprocessors with the existing HDLs(HARDware Description Languages) such as VHDL or Verilog. The reason it that the description becomes too complex. and also the simulation time becomes too long to explore the design space. Therefore it is necessary to establish a methodology and develop a tool for modeling the handshake protocol of asynchronous microprocessors very easily and simulating it very fast. Under this objective an efficient CAD(Computer Aided Design) tool SLEDS(System Level Event-Driven Simulator) was developed which can evaluate performance of a processor through modeling with a simple description an simulating with event driven engine in the system level. The ultimate goal in the tool SLEDS is to fin the optimal conditions for a system to produce high performance by balancing the delay of each module in the system. Besides SLEDS aims at verifying the design through comparing the expected results with the actual ones by performing the defined behavior.

  • The convergence of telecommunications and broadcasting is representative of many innovative technologies in the digital environment. It has recently been emphasized as an alternative solution to overcome the on-going saturation of the telecommunications and broadcasting markets. Despite this effort, however, growth of the market and its related services cannot reach prior expectations due to lack of understanding on the real user-end. Telecommunications technology used to serve its instrumental purpose and broadcasting services usually support entertainment functions which in themselves have an inherent value. Our research questions what factors influence users' attitude and decision-making when it comes to using telecommunications-broadcasting convergence services. The research model of this paper proposes intrinsic motivator focusing on hedonic value, extrinsic motivator having utilitarian values, and perceived control as internal and external conditions. To verify our model empirically, we selected the DMB technology which is a good example of distinctive telecommunications-broadcasting convergence service.

  • Jakarta-Slide는 Tomcat 웹서버의 WebDAV 프로토콜 지원 모듈로서 인터넷을 통하여 다양한 콘텐츠의 비동기적인 협업을 지원한다. CoSlide 협업시스템은 이러한 Jakarta-Slide를 사용하여 효과적으로 협업을 지원하는 시스템이다. CoSlide 협업시스템은 협업을 위한 가상공간을 제공하며 다양한 클라이언트를 통하여 가상공간에 자원을 등록하고 관리할 수 있다. CoSlide 협업시스템을 많은 사용자나 그룹이 사용하게 될 경우 가상공간과 자원에 대한 효과적인 관리가 필요하다. 하지만 현재의 CoSlide 협업시스템에서는 이러한 가상공간과 자원에 대한 전문적인 관리 기능을 지원하는 도구가 지원되고 있지 않기 때문에 관리 작업이 비효율적으로 이루어지고 있다. 본 논문에서는 CoSlide 협업시스템의 관리 도구 개발에 대하여 기술한다. CoSlide 관리 도구는 Tomcat Administrator Tool을 확장하여 구현되었으며, 효과적인 가상공간과 사용자 관리 기능을 제공한다. 시스템 관리자는 CoSlide 관리 도구를 통하여 협업에 참여하는 사용자를 추가하거나 삭제할 수 있으며 이러한 작업에 따라 개인 가상공간이 자동적으로 관리된다. 또한 그룹 가상공간의 정보를 제공하며 참여하고 있는 사용자들을 파악하고 등록된 가상공간에 대한 정보를 제공하여 효과적인 관리 기능을 제공한다.
