Embedding a Signature to Pictures under Wavelet Transformation (웨이브렛변환을 이용한 영상으로의 서명데이터 삽입)

  • This paper is to suggest the method of embedding a signature to pictures secretly under the orthogonal wavelet transform which represents pictures as multi-resolution representations. As it is focused upon the differential output under the multi-resolution representation of pictures, this method can embed bit series to pictures. In doing so, it can compound approximately 6K byte of information with gray-level image $256{\times}256$. The method can include not only the database which designates copyright of pictures but also the author and usage of pictures, and the information of the picture itself. Therefore, this method can easily discriminate the inspection of picture database.

  • Recently, acgis of authentication and crcator's copyright has become a matter of great concern by the diffusion of multimedia technique and the growth of the internet and the easily duplicated property of digital data. Consequently, many active researches have been made to protect copyright and to assure integrity by inserting watermark into the digital data. In this paper, watermark is repealed through the entire image and adapted to the content of the image. Achieved by an underlying process of transforming the digital image to the frequency domain by wavelet transform, which has three (vertical, horizontal, diagonal) directions and Multi-resolution features, and then choosing frequency area inferior to the human perceptibility and significant for invisible and robust watermark. We realize wavelet based image watermarking using Machine Vision of LabVIEW.

  • More views in data warehouse, can respond to the users more rapidly because the user's requests may be processed by utilizing only the materialized views with higher probabilities rather than accessing base relations. But, more views cause longer update duration of all the materialized views. During the update time, queries of users can not be processed because accesses to the datawarehouse are blocked. Thus, the update durations of the materialized views are necessary to be reduced. In this paper, we propose algorithm the update duration of the materialized views owing to managing by distinguishing insecton/deletion operations. Though there might overheads for distinguishing insertion/deletion, we concluded that the proposed algorithm could be excellent than others.

Image Watermarking using Wavelet Transform and Human Visual System (웨이블릿 변환 및 인간 시각 시스템을 이용한 원문 워터마킹)

  • As multimedia data and their applications are rapidly distributed on the Web, the research on watermark insertion and integrity assurance vigorously increases. In this paper, Discrete Wavelet Transformation dissolves an original image into the three level of low, middle, and high bandwidths. Human Visual System with the significant coefficients extracted from the middle obtains enhanced image quality and robustness using watermark insertion. Experimental results show that various attacks cannot destroy pre-inserted watermark and recovered image is of good quality by measuring PSNR.

  • Digital watermarking is a copyright protection technique for digital images which embed a code into the digital data so the data is marked. Watermarking techniques previously deal with on-line digital data and have been developed to withstand digital attacks such image processing, compression and geometric transformation. In this paper we propose a novel method of embedding watermarks in printed images. In the proposed algorithm, watermark is embedded in a dithered binary image by comparing the $2\times{2}$ blocks of the counting array is the number of 1 (WHITE) in the $16\times{16}$ blocks of the dithered binary image with predefined reference block pattern, which is generated by watermark values. The proposed algorithm is able to provide more information at a watermark because the proposed algorithm use both '1'and '0' as watermark values. The watermark information is detected by comparing the watermark which is reconstructed from the image which is embedded watermark with the original watermark which is embedded in a binary image. The performance of the proposed algorithm is compared with that of the conventional watermark embedding algorithm for printed images by detecting watermark for scan images.

  • 정보통신의 비약적인 발전에 힘입어 멀티미디어 데이터는 언제 어디서든 전송 받거나 공유할 수 있게 되었다. 아날로그 형태에서 디지털의 아날로그를 형태로 빠르게 대체되고 있으며, 디지털로 신호를 표현하는 방법은 기존 사용하여 표현하는 방법에 비해 많은 장점을 가지고 있다. 하지만 디지털로 된 데이터는 언제 어디서든 대단위 복제가 가능하다. 즉, 저작권 침해, 불법 복제 및 배포, 손쉽게 위조할 수 있다는 점이 그것이다. 디지털 컨텐츠의 불법 복제와 유통은 저작자의 창작 의욕과 수입원을 차단하는 매우 중요한 문제이며, 이를 방지하기 위해서 멀티미디어 데이터의 저작권을 가진 소유자가 원하는 정보를 삽입함으로써 데이터의 저작권 보호와 복사 방지 및 불법적인 유통을 막고자 하는 기술이 개발되고 있다. 디지털 영상 정보의 보호를 위해 디지털 영상의 불법적인 내용 조작을 막고, 영상의 소유권을 보장할 수 있는 방법으로 디지털 워터마크(Digital Watermark)가 있다. 디지털 워터마크는 공개키 알고리즘이나 방화벽 등으로 해독된 영상에 대하여 부가적인 보호를 제공한다. 디지털 영상에 대한 저작권 정보, 배포자 정보 그리고 사용자 정보를 영상에 삽입함으로써 훗날 법적인 문제가 발생하였을 때 해결책을 제시할 수 있다. 본 논문에서는 디지털 영상 데이터의 정보 보호를 위해 주파수 영역에서의 웨이브릿 변환(Wavelet Transform)을 이용한 이미지 적응 디지털 워터마킹(Image-Adaptive Digital Watermarking) 방법을 제안한다. 이미지 적응 웨이브릿(Image-Adaptive Wavelet)은 영상을 주파수적으로 분해하면서 각 대역들의 공간 영역에서의 정보를 함께 지니고 JND(Just noticeable difference)을 포함한다. 이미지 적응 웨이브릿의 이러한 특성을 이용하여 다해상도 분해하고, 손실 압축(toss Compression) 이나 필터링(Filtering), 잡음(Noise) 등에 크게 영향받는 저주파 성분과 인간의 시각적으로 큰 의미를 갖는 고주파 성분의 특성을 이용하여 워터마크를 삽입한다.

  • RFID 시스템에서 태그를 부착한 객체의 위치를 추적하는 응용이 중요하며 태그 위치를 추적하기 위한 질의를 효율적으로 처리하기 위해서는 태그 궤적의 저장 및 검색을 빠르게 처리 할 수 있는 색인이 필요하다. 기존의 시공간 기반 이동체 색인과는 달리 태그 위치 색인은 태그 식별자(tid), 리더 식별자(rid), 시간(time)을 도메인으로 가진다. RFID 환경에서는 태그 위치 색인의 rid 와 tid 도메인의 크기가 크고 한쪽 도메인으로 불균등한 영역 질의의 발생이 빈번하다. 따라서, 최소 면적 확장 정책에 따른 기존의 이동체 색인의 삽입 기법을 태그 위치 색인에 그대로 적용했을 경우 질의 영역과 생성된 노드 간의 겹침이 심하게 되어 색인 검색 비용이 증가하는 문제가 발생한다. 논문에서는 R$^{\ast}$-tree 의 삽입 정책을 따르는 태그 위치 색인의 삽입 방법으로 불균형 확장 정책을 제안한다. 제안한 삽입 정책은 둘레길이에 가중치를 부여하는 방법이며 이러한 정책을 사용함으로써 불균등한 질의 영역으로 인해 발생하는 질의 영역과 노드간의 중첩을 최소화하여 검색 시 노드 접근 횟수를 줄인다. 또한 실험을 통하여 기존 삽입 방법인 최소 면적 확장 정책의 삽입 비용과 검색 비용을 비교하였으며 그 결과 불균등한 질의 영역을 가지는 RFID 환경에서 삽입 및 검색 비용을 줄여 성능을 향상시켰다.

  • There have been concerned about the copyright as numerous data are digitalized because of the growth of performance of the computer and Internet. Digital watermarking is one of strong methods to protect copyright. We proposed a novel digital watermarking for vector map data. Although vector map data are used widely in GIS, there is little interest in copyright. The proposed method is to embed and extract watermarks using CRC principle. The experimental results show that this method can protect the copyright of the vector map by extracting embedded watermarks. Therefore, the proposed method can be utilized as the technique to protect vector map data.

A Study on the Digital Audio Watermarking for a High Quality Audio (고음질을 위한 디지털 오디오 워터마킹에 관한 연구)

  • In this paper, the authors proposed the digital audio watermarking algorithm for a high quality audio. Today, the digital watermark is used to confirm to the digital copyright protection, not only the digital image but the digital audio study is an activeness in the digital watermarking area. Especially, the watermark insertion in the digital audio area affects deeply not only a robustness but the audio quality of the watermarked audio data. Generally, the audio watermark is inserted in the frequence domain after FFT, the quality of audio data is affected by the watermark insertion. Thus, a high quality audio to be maintained at the same time, the study related a inserting of the robustness watermark happened to a hot issue. In this paper, the authors proposed the digital audio watermarking algorithm using psychoacoustic model and MDCT/IMDCT (Modified Discrete Cosine Transform/Inverse Modified Discrete Cosine Transform). In the proposed scheme, the authors experimented the stereo audio file with 44.1KHz, and 128kbps for the audio watermarking algorithm proposed. When the audio data is processed by MDCT, the watermark is able to insert into the frequence domain with 256, 1024 and 2048 interval. In case of 50㎳ RMS window, it was confirmed that the difference between the original audio data and the watermarked audio data of RMS power is 0.8㏈.

Development of Livestock Traceability System Based on Implantable RFID Sensor Tag with MFAN (MFAN/RFID 생체 삽입형 센서 태그 기반 가축 이력 관리 시스템 개발)

  • With the recent increased risk of livestock disease spread and human infection, livestock disease control has become very important. Consequently, there has been an increased attention on an implantable real-time monitoring and traceability system for individual cattle. Therefore, we have developed a robust monitoring and traceability system based on an implantable MFAN/RFID sensor tag. Our design combines the MFAN technology that is capable of robust wireless communication within cattle sheds and the 900MHz RFID technology that is capable of wireless communication without battery. In MFAN/RFID implantable sensor tag monitoring system, UHF sensor tag is implanted under the skin and accurately monitors the body temperature and biological changes without being affected by external environment. In order to acquire power needed by the tag, we install a MFAN/RFID tranceiver on the neck of cattle. The MFAN coordinator passes through the MFAN node and the RFID-reader-combined MFAN/RFID transceiver and transmits/receives the data and power for the sensor tag. The data stored in the MFAN coordinator is transmitted via the internet to the livestock history monitoring system, where it is stored and managed. By developing this system, we hope to alleviate the problems related to livestock disease control.
