  • 기존의 대축척 지리정보 데이터베이스로 부터 새로운 소축적 지리정보 데이터베이스를 유도하는 방법 중의 하나는 일반화이다. 이는 대축적 공간데이터를 소축척에 적합하도록 변형시킨다. 즉, 일반화를 통해서 지리정보 데이터의 공간 및 비공간적 특성이 변형되고 그 결과 데이터 모델로 변하게 된다. 본 연구는 이러한 변형에 따른 파급효과를 제어할 수 있는 규칙들을 제시한다. 특히 여섯 가지 일반화 연산자들이 모델에 미치는 영향을 조사하여, 이를 바탕으로 모델 변형을 제어할 수 있는 규칙을 제시하였다.

A Study on the Development of Financial and Commercial Space in Jeonju : During Japanese Colonial Period (전주의 금융ㆍ상업공간의 형성과 변화 - 일제강점기를 중심으로 -)

  • The purpose of this study is to analyze how financial and commercial space in Jeonju had changed after Japanese rule. The biggest local bank was located near the Chungangdong post office in Taisyoudoori and the other bank facilities were located near the Jeonrabuk-do provincial office and Nammun market. Periodic markets and permanent stores were major commercial activities in Jeonju. Many stores and commercial companies established by many Chosun merchants near Nammun markets. Chosun commercial companies were superior to Japanese commercial companies in both number and capital scale. Japanese commercial companies were concentrated on Taisyoudoori(Jungang Road). Commercial activities in Jeonju were segregated by ethnic group. Financial and commercial activities were concentrated on Taisyoudoori and Ekimaedoori(Nammun Road).

  • Based on a survey for Haeundae and Jagalchi, representative waterfronts in Busan, this study examined the users' awareness of waterfront employing human's five senses. The results show that 81.5 %(163 respondents) of users in Haeundae responded "They feel sea breeze" whereas 55.8 %(111 respondents) of users in Jagalchi responded "They can eat seafood".

A Study on Determining the Optimal Size of Bicycle Waiting Zone under Hook-Turn Operation (Hook-Turn 통행방식의 적정 자전거 대기공간 크기 결정에 관한 연구)

  • This study aims to evaluate the performance of Hook-turn operation with various sizes of bicycle waiting zone(WZ) and to determine the optimal size of bicycle WZ under various traffic and control circumstances. An extensive simulation study was performed to examine bicycle and vehicle delay trends for given experimental design. Results showed that vehicle delay was insensitive to the size of waiting zone, but bicycle delay was reduced as the size of waiting zone increased in general. The delay performance indicated a similar trend between with RTOR and without RTOR operation, but vehicle delay slightly increased and bicycle delay slightly decreased without RTOR. Regarding to optimal waiting zone size, 6 WZ was recommended for general conditions with RTOR, but 9 WZ was recommended when bicycle left-turn volume was greater than 120 v/h. 6 WZ was recommended for general conditions without RTOR, but 12 WZ was recommended when bicycle left-turn volume was greater than 90 v/h.

Imageability Elements of Tourism Space using Spatial Cognitive Maps - Focused on Tourists of Nami Island in Their 20s and 30s - (공간 인지도를 이용한 관광공간의 이미지성 구성요인 - 남이섬의 20대 및 30대 관광자를 대상으로 -)

  • This study intends to analyze the characteristics of imageability elements of the tourism space using the spatial cognitive mapping method. For this purpose, this study selects Nami Island as a study site and collects spatial cognitive maps or sketches of the study area focused on tourists in their 20s and 30s after they visit the site. The results of frequency analysis on imageability elements of Nami Island show that paths, landmarks, and edges are more frequently cognized to tourists in their 20s and 30s than districts and nodes. This study determines a new imageability element of the tourism space, "moving objects," such as or bikes or animals. Tourism planners or landscape designers can consider these useful imageability elements as important planning factors in order to improve and clarify the images of tourism spaces.

  • 최근 우리나라는 고밀화, 대형화, (초)고층 도시공간에 살고 있으며, 방재도시가 확보되지 않은 곳에서 위험을 느끼며 살고 있다. 이에 따라 대규모 도시공간에서 화재리스크는 점차 높아지고 있으며, 화재 발생시 도시공간내 사람은 생명의 위협감과 더불어 치명적 피해를 입게 된다. 또한 화재발생시 도시화재의 매커니즘으로 인한 대형화재가 발생할 수 있다. 하지만 우리나라는 방재도시 구축에 대한 연구와 도시화재 매커니즘을 고려한 평가시스템이 미흡한 실정이다. 반면 가까운 나라 일본의 경우 이미 대규모 도시화재를 겪어본 바, 이에 대한 실험 및 연구를 토대로 이미 시뮬레이션과 방재도시 구축에 진행중이다. 이에 대해 본 연구는 일본의 대규모 도시화재에 대한 사례 분석을 하고, 우리나라 방재도시 구축을 위한 기초자료를 제시하고자 한다.

  • 본 연구는 지하대공간의 화재 하중 및 성상을 예측하기 위하여 주요가연물조사를 실시하였다. 조사한 결과 대형서점의 가연물의 종류, 크기, 재질과 지하주차장의 가연물의 종류, 주차대수를 도출할 수 있었다. 이에 대하여 지하공간내 발열량이 높은 곳과 위험성이 높을 것으로 판단되는 곳을 선정하여 가연물조사를 통해 유형을 분석하고, 이에 대한 표준 모델을 모듈화를 제안하여 지하대공간의 화재성상예측을 위한 기초자료로 제시한다.

Status and Issues for Underground Space Development in Singapore (싱가포르 지하공간 개발의 현황 및 이슈)

  • Singapore government is strongly promoting the development and utilization of underground space in national level due to the nature of the city state which lacks the land. As well as conventional underground utilization in shallow depth such as metro and underground roads, large rock cavern utilization has been started after the successful completion of the underground ammunition depot in the rock, and Jurong Rock Cavern, the second large underground cavern project has just been completed. In this paper, after evaluating the conditions of the underground development in rock mass through the analysis of the geology of Singapore, the history and current status of underground development are examined. Several creative development plans from Singapore government such as underground reservoirs, underground automation logistics systems and underground warehouses storage etc. are introduced with technical issues. This paper also discusses the problems and issues related to the development of large underground space in rock mass in Singapore. It is expected that such active development of underground space in Singapore can give many opportunities and also challenges for rock engineering and industry in the future.
