An Analysis on e-Learning Readiness and Learning Activities of Adult Learners in a Cyber University (사이버대학 성인 학습자의 이러닝 준비도와 학습활동 분석)

  • Many of learners in cyber universities have experienced the difficulties of learning and participation because they have never participated courses of cyber universities before. One of main reasons why they have experienced the difficulties was that they might have not received systematic guidances of university system as well as learning supports, depending on their readiness of e-learning. Otherwise, they may have lack of supports frequently and finally, fail to graduate. However, few studies were conducted to investigate the e-learning readiness of freshmen and enrollees in cyber universities. The purpose of the study was to analyze the e-learning readiness and learning activities of freshmen and enrollees of A cyber university and to support them more systematically and get them to succeed in studying. In the results, there were no differences between the freshmen and enrollees in basic competencies of cyber learning as well as interaction, task performance, and learning methods.

University life experience of nursing student transfer student (간호학과 편입생의 대학생활 경험)

  • This study was conducted to understand and describe in depth the university life experience and the feelings of nursing students who transferred to a new nursing school, and the data was obtained through phenomenological methods. The participants of this study were 8 graduate transfer students who graduated from a 4 year university at C university and had a bachelor degree, and they then transferred into the third year of another 4 year university to study nursing. The data was collected from October 2018 to January 2019 by using in-depth interviews and tape-recording. The interview data was analyzed by the phenomenological analysis method of Giorgi. The analysis revealed the following factors: a feeling of heterogeneity, a feeling of burden, a need for adaption to the department and the responsibility for the choice of transferring schools. In conclusion, it is necessary for the transfer students who have transferred to a nursing department to prepare a plan while still in their first school and that can be done together with their fellow future transferees so that they do not feel a sense of heterogeneity with the existing students. In order for transfer students to bear the burden of studying in the new department, it is suggested that an intervention program should be developed to help transfer students adapt to their major, such as providing a base for efficiently acquiring the major knowledge of the nursing profession.

한국 대학 수학과의 상황과 장래

  • 현재 한국의 많은 대학의 수학과는 낮은 지원율 신입생 미충원 그리고 전과/편입학/자퇴 등 높은 이탈 등으로 학생자원 부족에서 오는 생존이 위협되는 위기에 처해있다. 실제로 몇 년 사이에 학생 모집이 중단됨으로서 폐과가 진행 중인 대학의 수학과가 나타나고 있다. 한국의 대학교육에서 수학과가 퇴조하는 이러한 현재 상황의 진행이 3-5년 후 대학 및 대학원의 수학전공은 어떤 상황에 있을 것인가? 학생자원 감소라는 현재의 추세가 계속 진행된다면, 대학의 학문 체계와 대학교육에서 수학의 위치 역할은 무엇을 의미하는가? 이러한 대학의 수학전공에 지원하는 학생자원 부족 문제는 진지하게 구체적으로 다루고 도전하고 해결 방안을 구해야 할 문제인가? 아니면 일시적인 퇴조 현상에 대한 기우인가?

  • This study attempted to describe the essential structure of lived experience of a students trans ferring into the nursing program. A study on the experience of students who have a major in this of health or who have experience in a medical institution is aimed at identifying the nature of incorporating nursing into each individual. The experiences were analyzed and the meaning of the experiences was understood by applying the phenomenolgical Analysis method of Colaizzi. The total number of people who majored in health care and five experienced medical institutions was nine, which resulted four themes and 14 central beauty. Based on the results of this study, it will provide basic materials for fostering professional nursing personnel at various nursing sites by understanding the nursing departments and experiences of students with experience in the health care system.

유한대학 건축설비과 전공심화 과정 개설

  • 주경야독의 의지를 불태우는 회원사 및 회원사 임직원들에게 반가운 소식이 생겼다. 직장을 다니며 3, 4학년을 다닐 수 있는 길이 열렸기 때문이다. 이전에는 직장을 다니면서 주간의 4년제 대학에 편입하는 것은 너무도 먼 이야기였기 때문에 야간에 다닐 수 있는 유사전공을 선택해야만 했던 부담감이 있었다. 하지만 건축설비 전공으로 야간에 3, 4학년 과정을 다닐 수 있는 전공심화과정을 유한대학 건축설비과가 국내에서 유일하게 개설하여 건축설비와 관련된 학구열을 충족시킬 것으로 기대된다. 정기범 유한대학 건축설비과 학과장과의 질의응답을 통해 좀 더 자세한 정보 알아보았다.

  • 현재 해기사의 병역복무제도는 병역법에 의한 승선근무예비역에 편입을 함으로써 이루어지고 있다. 따라서 법에서 정하는 조건을 갖춘 초급해기사들은 기존의 산업기능요원제도와 마찬가지로 4주간에 군사훈련을 마치고 승선근무에 투입된다. 그러나 이는 전시에 제4군으로써의 임무를 수행하고자 하는데 제도적으로 문제점이 있으며, 그 문제정과 더불어 앞으로 해사계열대학의 제4군화 정책에 대해 연구해 보고자 한다.

  • While demand for construction engineering education at Cyber University is growing rapidly in a short period of time, there is a lack of research and evaluation on whether or not to develop in terms of quality. The purpose of this study is to identify the characteristics and motivation of the new and transfer students of the department of Construction Engineering at Cyber university and to identify areas that will be complemented in construction engineering education and to provide guidelines for providing better education through satisfaction survey on current education of new students, students and graduates of Cyber University. For the development of construction engineering education at cyber universities, the content of education needs to be differentiated from that of offline universities. In addition, new and transfer students should be able to achieve their goal of obtaining certificates and be provided with satisfactory education to become professional engineers. For students with diverse goals, a wide range of subjects ranging from basic to specialized courses should be provided so that they can select subjects that suit their goals.
