Junior college students in located Eup-Myeon areas commonly fail to meet the basic standards of mathematics. This leads students to lack basic knowledge and to have difficulties in studying their majors. In addition, students often lose their interest in the study and eventually leave school or drop out, while some have difficulties in their life at work. To remedy and solve these problems, the country proposes National Competency Standards(NCS). The basic occupational competencies proposed in NCS are essential occupational abilities required to successfully perform the job. I want to apply mathematical ability, which is one of the basic occupational competencies, to mathematics education of junior college. Applying NCS mathematical ability to junior college students, I would like to examine the effectiveness of the NCS mathematical ability course. The purpose of this study is to find out the way of education of desirable mathematical ability and to raise basic academic ability and interest in mathematics.

This paper analysed a bulk of theses performed in various perspectives relating to College Scholastic Ability Test since 1994. Further this searched suggestions of revisions of systems about College Scholastic Ability Test along with the revised curriculum throngh this analysis of previous studies, which were categorized into 'correspondence between goal and characteristics', 'impact on education', and 'impact on society'. According to previous studies, they treat crossing application, advantage & disadvantage among optional subjects, difference in subject and content between natural science and cultural science, subjects that have to be included into College Scholastic Ability Test. This research suggests some elements and basic & fundamental information which need to be considered in the process of revising in problem making system of College Scholastic Ability Test.

대학수학에서 수학적귀납법의 원리를 소개하고 풍부한 예를 통해 이해를 돕는다. 특별히 교양수학을 수강하는 1학년 학생 수준에 맞게 매스매티카 프로그램을 이용하여 구체적인 예를 갖고 한단계 한단계 접근하여 수학적귀납법의 증명을 연습할 기회를 준다. 증명을 단계적으로 하는 것을 연습하여 학생들은 논리적인 사고능력을 개발하고 새로운 명제를 발견할 수 있는 기회를 맞보게 한다. 물론, 증명 연습은 1학년 신입생에게는 쉽지 않으나 여러 명제에 대해 연습을 하는 것은 수학적, 논리적 사고 능력을 개발하고 증명문제에 대한 인식을 바꾸는데 매우 중요한 역할을 할 것이다.

이 논문에서는, 대학과정의 수학 교육과정 중에서, 실업계 고교를 졸업하고, 대학입학을 대학수학능력시험을 치르지 않고, 야간에 공과대학에 입학한 학생들을 대상으로 한 대학수학교육을 능률적으로 이끌어갈 수 있는 방안에 대하여, 실제의 현장학습교육을 통하여 교육한 학습모델을 토대로, 검증된 자료를 통하여 고찰해 보고자 한다.

수학적 힘의 함양과 문제해결력의 신장을 위한 수학교육에서 확률영역은 중요한 학습소재임에도 불구하고, 확률영역은 어려운 것으로 고착되었다. 이 연구에서는 학생들이 확률영역의 어떤 부분을 어려워하고 이해하기 힘들어하는지를 구체적 문항분석을 통하여 알아봄으로서 교수-학습의 기초자료를 제공하고자한다. 이를 위하여, 지난 10년간 출제되었던 대학수학능력시험의 확률영역 16문항을 고등학교 학생 220명에게 실시하고, 고전검사이론과 문항반응이론울 적용하여 그 결과를 분석하였다. 고전검사이론에서는 신뢰도와 변별도를 측정하였고, 문항반응이론에서는 Rasch 1-모수 문항반응모형에 근거한 BIGSTEP을 사용하여 내적타당도와 난이도를 측정하였다.

본 사례 연구는 수학 교사로서 연구자가 학급에서 중간 정도의 학업 성적을 가지면서 특히 언어 영역이 상위의 학생이 수학 성적에서는 최하에 있는 수학 학습 부진을 보이는 한 여학생을 선정하여 매일 수학을 가르치면서 이 학생의 수학 학습의 부진 요인에 대한 해답을 찾고자 했다. 본 연구에서는 비구조화된 인터뷰, 관찰기록, 전화, 이메일, 부모와의 인터뷰이며, 객관적인 자료를 위해 수학 기본능력 검사, 수학 내신성적, 대학수학능력 모의고사, 진로탐색 검사 등의 자료를 수집하였다. 이렇게 수집된 모든 자료를 일기 형식의 연구 일지에 기록하여 이 학생의 변화에 대한 기록을 하였다. 본 연구에 따르면, 이 여학생은 낮은 지능과 잘못된 계열 선택, 기초학습 및 선수학습의 결손, 학교와 학급에 대한 부적응, 교사와 학생간의 부정적인 인간관계, 수학교과에 대한 불안감, 학습 실패 경험의 누적에 의한 자신감 상실, 학생의 능력 수준을 고려하지 않은 부모의 높은 기대치 등의 요인에 의해 수학 학습에서 어려움을 겪고 있는 것으로 나타났다.

Because of the local college students' learning ability stands on a relatively low level, this research is accomplished to inspire students with further desires, considering students' learning ability and desire. As a result of research we can find the existence of the learning ability difference between the students in local colleges and in the capital area colleges. From the multiphasic personality inventory and the personal orientation inventory it is confirmed that the personalities of the students in both areas are almost same, and from the question investigation it is confirmed that the students in local colleges have relatively low interests of their curriculums and few confidence of success as a expert.

최근 새로운 교육개혁안이 확정 발표되면서부터 새삼 대입전형의 준거로 대학수학능력시험의 비중이 증대되고 있다. 우리의 수능시험과 유사한 SAT나 ACT는 미국의 각 대학에서 신입생 선발을 할 때, 중요한 전형자료의 하나로 사용하는 검사이다. 이 두 검사는 대등한 정도로 널리 이용되고 있으나 그 교육철학적인 배경은 상이하며, 또 후자는 우리에게 별로 알려져 있지 못한 실정이다. 따라서 여기에서는 ACT의 평가내용, 검사개발과정, 결과활용 등을 소개하고 우리의 대학수학능력시험과 관련하여 그 시사점을 논의하였다.

본 연구에서는 2004년 11월에 시행된 '2005학년도 대학수학능력시험 수리영역 가형' 의 문항을 분석하였다. 즉, 2-모수 문항 반응 모형에 근거한 베이지안(Bayesian) 1.0을 이용하여 문항의 난이도 및 변별도를 측정하였으며 고전검사이론 프로그램임 테스트안(Testan) 1.0을 이용하여 문항의 신뢰도 및 오답지 매력도를 구하였다. 이 결과는, 학생들이 어느 단원을 어려워하고 어떤 내용을 이해하지 못 하는지 그 원인을 찾을 수 있으므로, 교수-학습의 기초 자료로 활용할 수 있을 것이다.

In the current College Scholastic Aptitude Test (CSAT), the standardized scoring system is being adopted to adjust te differences of degrees of difficulty between the optional subjects. But it becomes clear that the system has several weak points, some of which are considered to be very serious. In this paper we propose an alternative method, so-called the additive scoring system. It determines the additional points per each subjects, according to the subject mean scores. The proposed method has been simulated using the data of 2005' CSAT, and it turns out that the additive scoring system reduces or remove the troubles caused by the standardized scoring system.
