The Effects of the Level of Enrichment for Analogies upon Students' Mapping and Conceptual Understanding in Concept Learning about Boyle's Law (보일의 법칙에 대한 개념 학습에서 비유의 부연 수준이 학생들의 대응 관계 이해 및 개념 이해에 미치는 영향)

  • This study investigated the effects of the level of enrichment for analogies upon students' mapping, conceptual understanding, and the types of mapping errors in concept learning about Boyle's Law. Analogical reasoning ability test was administered and the score was used as a blocking variable. Three types (simple, enriched, and extended analogies) of learning materials according to the level of enrichment for analogies were studied by randomly assigned middle school students, and a conceptions test and a mapping test were administered immediately. The retention tests of both were administered four weeks later. Analyses of the results revealed that there was no main effect in the level of enrichment for analogies, but there was interaction effect with analogical reasoning ability in the post test on mapping. And the score of enriched analogy group was significantly higher than those of simple analogy group, but the score differences among three groups were not significant in the retention test on conceptual understanding. The frequency of the total mapping errors in the simple analogy group was the highest, and the frequencies of most types of mapping errors in the enriched and the extended analogy groups were less than those in the simple analogy group. There were also some differences in the frequencies of mapping errors with respect to the level of analogical reasoning ability. Therefore, these results will help science teachers plan and practice instructions using analogy.

  • 본 논문에서는 단순전력 분석(SPA)과 오류주입공격(FA)에 안전한 중국인의 나머지 정리를 이용한 RSA 암호 시스템(CRT-RSA)에 대하여 논한다. CRT-RSA를 이용한 서명 알고리즘은 스마트카드와 같은 내장형 장치(embedded device)에서 널리 사용된다. 하지만 이러한 장치들은 전력분석 공격과 오류주입 공격에 취약하다. 2005년 Giraud가 처음으로 단순전력분석과 오류주입공격에 모두 안전한 대응 방법을 제안하였다. 본 논문에서는 Giraud의 대응 방법에 대한 다른 공격방법을 소개하고, 제시한 공격 방법에도 안전한 대응 방법을 제안한다. 본 논문에서 제안하는 대응 방법은 세 개의 메모리와 덧셈과 뺄셈연산을 추가적으로 요구한다. 추가적으로 요구되는 연산량은 모듈러 지수승 연산에 필요한 연산량에 비교하면 크게 고려하지 않아도 될 연산량이다. 그러므로 본 논문에서 제안하는 대응 방법은 내장형 장치와 같은 환경에서 안전하고 효율적으로 이용될 수 있다.

A Study on HSTPA Model for Improvement of Emergency Response Training for Ships (선박의 비상대응훈련 개선을 위한 HSTPA 모델에 관한 연구)

  • Since emergency response training for maritime safety and safety education of maritime education institutions are conducted based on the set scenarios and education contents, there are limitations in the reduction of human error and response to various situations. Although there is a need for improvement, there is no way to improve response capabilities by assessing existing education training and securing diversity in situations. This study proposes a theoretical procedure analyzer method to model the diversity of situations for the improvement of emergency response training. This paper defines the human and system theoretical procedure analysis model (HSTPA) based on the organic relationship of the source and system. The limitations of the existing training were derived by analyzing the errors that each component could produce and applying them to the fire response training scenarios requiring vertical reporting systems and responses. The segmentation and inspection of training scenario considerations applying the proposed HSTPA model is believed to help create diverse and realistic scenarios in emergency response training and education, and improve the situation judgment understanding and response capabilities of the subjects.

부채널 공격법과 이의 대응법에 대한 연구 동향

  • 전통적인 암호시스템의 분석방법은 암호 프리미티브들로 구성된 부분을 블랙박스로 생각하고 이들을 구성하는 수학적 함수를 분석하여 이론적인 안전성을 정량화 했다. 그러나 암호 프리미티브가 이론적으로 안전하다고 해도 이들을 적용한 암호시스템을 구축할 때 구현 방법에 따라 비밀정보와 연관된 내부 함수가 실행되면서 연산시간, 소모전력, 전자복사, 오류결과 등의 부가적인 정보를 밖으로 누출하는 경우가 있다. 최근 들어 이런 부채널 정보를 통해 비밀정보를 유추하는 기술이 발전하였는데 시차공격법, 전력분석법, 전자복사 공격법, 오류 공격법, 오류 메시지 공격법 등 여러 가지 공격법이 알려지고 있다. 부채널 공격법을 통해 비밀키 암호 알고리즘, 공개키 암호 알고리즘, 해쉬함수 등을 프리미티브로 사용하여 구현한 암호 메카니즘의 취약점이 분석되었으며, 이를 막을 수 있는 대응법도 다양하게 제안되고 있다. 본 고에서는 부채널 공격법과 이의 대응법에 대한 최근 동향을 살펴본다.

  • The purpose of this study is to examine the comparation Korean "-e(에), -eseo(에서)" with the Chinese "zai(在)," analyze the errors of using "-e(에), -eseo(에서)," and suggest the direction of teaching required for Chinese learners to reduce these errors. Referring to mean place, "-e(에)" and "-eseo(에서)" generally correspond to "zai(在)" in Chinese, but "zai(在)" in Chinese does not completely correspond to "-e(에)" and "-eseo(에서)" with the meaning of position or place. Chinese learners are often misunderstood when they use "-e(에)" and "-eseo(에서)."

Countermeasure for Physical Attack in RSA-CRT using Double Exponentiation Algorithm and Fault Infective Method (이중 멱승과 오류 확산 기법을 이용한 RSA-CRT에서의 물리적 공격 대응 방법)

  • Many experimental results shows that RSA-CRT algorithm can be broken by fault analysis attacks. We analyzed the previous fault attacks and their countermeasures on RSA-CRT algorithm and found an weakness of the countermeasure proposed by Abid and Wang. Based on these analyses, we propose a new countermeasure which uses both double exponentiation and fault infective computation method. The proposed method efficiently computes a fault verification information using double exponentiation. And, it is designed to resist simple power analysis attack and (N-1) attack.

Automatic English-Korean Address Translation System for Extremely Unpredictable Error Generating Language Environments (극한 언어 환경에 대응 가능한 영한 자동 주소번역 시스템)

  • 데이터베이스 기반 자동 주소번역은 입력 오류에 취약하며 범용 기계번역을 이용한 주소번역은 입력 및 번역 주소에 대한 품질 평가가 어렵다. 본 논문에서는 예측할 수 없는 입력 오류에도 대응할 수 있는 자동 주소번역 시스템을 제안한다. 제안 시스템은 n-gram 기반 검색, 미검색/오검색 분류, 번역, 신뢰도 자동평가로 구성된다. 신뢰할 수 있는 입력으로 자동 분류한 영문 국내주소를 국문으로 번역한 결과 95%이상의 정확도를 보였다.

An Efficient DSA Signature Scheme Resistant to the Fault Analysis Attack (오류 분석 공격에 대응하는 효율적인 DSA 서명 기법)

  • The fault cryptanalysis is a physical attack in which the key stored inside of the device can be extracted by occurring some faults when the device performs cryptographic algorithm. Since the international signature standard DSA(Digital Signature Algorithm) was known to be vulnerable to some fault analysis attacks, many researchers have been investigating the countermeasure to prevent these attacks. In this paper we propose a new countermeasure to compute DSA signature that has its immunity in the presence of faults. Since additional computational overhead of our proposal is only an inverse operation in signature process, the proposed DSA scheme can be implemented more efficiently compared to previous countermeasures.

An Investigation of the Types of Analogies Generated by Science-Gifted Student, Mapping Errors on the Chromatography, and the Perceptions on Generating Analogy (크로마토그래피 개념에 대해 중학교 과학영재가 만든 비유의 유형과 대응 오류 및 비유 만들기 활동에 대한 인식 조사)

  • This study investigated the types of analogies generated by science-gifted students, mapping errors on the chromatography, and the perceptions on generating analogy. The subjects were science-gifted eighth-graders (N=68) enrolled at four gifted-education centers in Seoul. Analyses of the results revealed that most science-gifted students represented the analogies using verbal and pictorial forms based on concrete and everyday experiences, and they elaborately explained them including the functional attributes and the causal relationships of the target concept. Science-gifted students selected the analogies having rich similarities or similar structure and principle between the target concept and the analogy as the best of the self-generated analogies. And they used mainly their 'school life' as analogy materials. The results of the mapping test showed that many science-gifted students had mapping errors such as 'failure to map' and 'overmapping'. They were found to have the positive perceptions on generating analogy. The present study will provide the basic information to develop an instructional model in generating analogy in an education program for science-gifted students.
