This research argues that Pansori had patrons in its development. Patrons are commonly discussed aspect of history of any art form. Pansori is no exception. While Pansori originally began as the art of the common people, Yangban class became the primary audience. This paper examines the role of royal family of Choson dynasty in development of Pansori. Heungseon Daewongun (흥선대원군) in particular was a Pansori aficionado. The record around Daewongun's involvement to Pansori proves that heavy monetary investment was made. He hosted Pansori competitions and sponsored creation of Pansori tradition, Boseong Sori (보성소리) and Gangsanje (강산제). Also the aspect of Pansori patronage lies not just in Yangban class, but also in Jung'in class, which is roughly analoguous to European bourgeois in that they were not of Yangban class, but had gained monetary status, and had aesthetics of both Yangban and commoner class. I argue that Heungseon Daewongun's ties to the Jung'in class is reflected in his actions towards Pansori artists. The traditions he had sponsored have important characteristics, including sophisticated lyrics heavily utilizing Classical Chinese poetry, highly artistic musical composition, and conservative Confucian ethics. Those characteristics indicate that the Pansori traditions sponsored by the royal patrons have changed to cater to their artistic taste and philosophy. This paper conducts a textual comparative analysis between Gangsanje Pansori Jeokbyeokga (강산제 판소리 적벽가), Dongpyeonje's Pansori Jeokbyeokga (동편제 판소리 적벽가), and Seopyeonje Pansori Jeokbyeokga, who share the same plot yet offers a stark differences in tone, philosophy, and sense of humor. Daewongun was a primary sponsor of Pansori, which proves that Yangban class and the royal family have played important role as patrons of Pansori.

This study was examined the effect and the continuity of music therapy for reduce on post-traumatic stress (PTS) in 119 emergency medical technicians (EMTs). The subjects of the study were 42 EMTs in the C area, and the study was conducted from November 25, 2019 to March 1, 2020. The experimental group conducted a total of ten music therapy programs twice a day for five days. The session-specific program was conducted by two music therapists, including the early, mid, late, and closed stages. Each step applied intervention techniques necessary for goals such as improvisation, rhythm making, Nanta, and couple physical activities. The control group was required to take a free break (TV viewing, cell phone games, sleep, exercise, etc.) at the same time as the experimental group's program. The study found that the control group had no difference in PTS before and after the application of music therapy, but the experimental group had a significant decrease in PTS immediately after the application of music therapy and a gradual increase in PTS after 4 and 12 weeks (p<.05). Repetitive music therapy is judged to be an effective way to mitigate the PTS leve for EMTs.

This study was conducted to define the level of job stress and to determine its association with sociodemographic and health related characteristics, as well as job-related factors. The subjects surveyed were 1,240 out of 119 rescue workers who worked in 14 fire stations across the country by self-administered questionnaires during the period of 1 March, to 30 April, 2016. As a result, the score of job stress was significantly higher in the unmarried, no coffee drinking, poor subjective sleep evaluation, unhealthy, lower position, lower job career, hard physical burden of work, job dissatisfaction, unfit for job groups without group of consider quitting the job than their respective counterparts. Multiple regression analysis revealed that the factors influencing job stress included coffee drinking, subjective sleep evaluation, job career, physical burden of work, sense of satisfaction in work, fitness for the job and considering quitting the job. Overall, the results of this study results suggest that the job stress of 119 rescue workers is influenced by variable factors as well as sociodemographic characteristics, health-related behaviors and job-related characteristics.

The present research investigated the influence of the enlistment motivation on an image of military organization, soldier's stress, a confidence of social life after discharge from military service and military life satisfaction in Korean military service. Participants of this research were 257 soldiers (121 conscript Army soldiers and 136 voluntary Marines) from 2 companies in the army and 2 companies in the Marine Corps located in South Korea. Results of this study showed that 1) conscript Army group(M=2.39, SD=.71)had a significantly higher score than voluntary Marines group(M=1.95, SD=.63)in extrinsic enlistment motivation. On the contrary, Marines group(M=4.16, SD=.76) had a significantly higher score than Army group(M=3.62, SD=.87) in intrinsic enlistment motivation. 2) Enlistment by intrinsic motivation has positive influence on the military life. Result of Regression analysis showed that enlistment by intrinsic motivation significantly predicted a military life satisfaction(𝛽=.402, t=6.424, p<.001), a confidence of social life(𝛽=.528, t=9.836, p<.001), and an image of military organization(𝛽=.494, t=8.486, p<.001). On the other hand, enlistment by extrinsic motivation has negative influence on the military life. Result of Regression analysis showed that enlistment by extrinsic motivation significantly predicted the soldier's stress in military life(𝛽=.415, t=6.642, p<.001), and no confidence of social life(𝛽=-.177, t=-3.306, p<.001). These results suggest that Korean military needs to focus on enhancing intrinsic enlistment motivation of young men of conscription age before conscription by educating, and advertising etc. And also, we discuss that Korean military needs to consider how to boost intrinsic motivation of military life.

Ahn Minyoung's editorial work of gajib(songbook) was the work for realization of artistic ability which had been a pursuit for his life. According to recent excavation of 'Seungpyeonggok' that is another gajib editted by Ah Minyoung, it is found that his editorial work of gajib was began in earlier days. 'Seungpyeonggok' composes 12 pieces of works, and it arranged each piece of work with melody of gagok, respectively. For the size, it is evaluated to 'the smallest gajib' among the left gajib at present. This gajib was composed to celebrate the gathering of Seungpyeonggye which led by Ahn Minyoung. There is Preface which was written by Ahn Minyoung, and the content of preface could be similar to the one in his another gajib 'Geumokchongbu' except some omission, variation, or alternation of content and phrase partly to fit for the character of each gajib. The names of Seungpyeonggye's members are shown in the preface of 'Seungpyeonggok', so it is important material for studying the appearances and activities of the members at that time. The purpose and intention of Seungpyeonggye's gathering was clarified in the preface of 'Seungpyeonggok' was composed to the repertoir of gagok sung at the celebration party. All the collected works are related to Daewongun directly or indirectly in their contents. Because the celebration party of Seungpyeonggye was designed for Daewongun, all the contents are dedication for Dasewongun easily. And the works of 12-pieces previously discussed were found as playing repertoir, 'type of pyeon-ga' which was composed to 8-pieces and 4-pieces identically.

This study examined the level of job satisfaction of rescue workers in accordance with the sociodemographic and health related characteristics, as well as job-related factors. Moreover, this study aimed to know the relationship between job satisfaction and violence experience, job stress, and burn-out. A total of 1,240 rescue workers, who works in 14 fire stations across the country, were surveyed. The survey was conducted by self-administered questionnaires during the period between March 1st and April 30, 2016. As a result, the score of job satisfaction according to the sociodemographic and health related characteristics were significantly lower in the younger-aged group, unmarried group, no-regular exercise group, and poor group of subjective sleep evaluation, unhealthy group of subjective health status than their respective counterparts. From the perspective of job-related characteristics, the job satisfaction scores were significantly lower in the groups of lower rank, lower job career, lower monthly income, hard group of physical burden of work, dissatisfaction group of sense of satisfaction in work, unfit group of the job, without group of consider quitting the job than their respective counterparts. The score of job satisfaction, in accordance with violence experience, job stress, and burn-out were significantly lower in groups with higher scores of violence experience, job stress, and burn-out. In a logistic regression analysis, the adjusted odds ratio of the low-risk job satisfaction were significantly increased in the very high group than in the low group of violence experience, in middle, high and very high group than in low group of job stress, in very high group than in low group of burn-out. The results suggest that the job satisfaction of rescue workers is significantly influenced by various factors, including socio-demographic characteristics, health-related behaviors, job-related characteristics, violence experience, job stress, and burn-out.
