A Basic Study on Vehicle Load Analyzing System for Embedded Road (임베디드 도로를 위한 차량하중 분석시스템 기초연구)

  • Load managing method on road became necessary since overloaded vehicles occur damage on road facilities and existing systems for preventing this damage still show many problems. Accordingly, efficient managing system for preventing overloaded vehicles could be organized by using the road itself as a scale by applying genetic algorithm to analyze the load and the drive information of vehicles. First of all, accurate analysis of load using the behavior of road itself is needed for solving illegal axle manipulation problems of overloaded vehicles and for installing intelligent embedded load analyzing system. Accordingly in this study, to use the behavior of road, the transformation was measured by installing underground box type indoor model and indoor experiment was held using genetic algorithm and 10% error were checked.

Development and Application of the High Speed Weigh-in-motion for Overweight Enforcement (고속축하중측정시스템 개발과 과적단속시스템 적용방안 연구)

  • Korea has achieved significant economic growth with building the Gyeongbu Expressway. As the number of new road construction projects has decreased, it becomes more important to maintain optimal status of the current road networks. One of the best ways to accomplish it is weight enforcement as active control measure of traffic load. This study is to develop High-speed Weigh-in-motion System in order to enhance efficiency of weight enforcement, and to analyze patterns of overloaded trucks on highways through the system. Furthermore, it is to review possibilities of developing overweight control system with application of the HS-WIM system. The HS-WIM system developed by this study consists of two sets of an axle load sensor, a loop sensor and a wandering sensor on each lane. A wandering sensor detects whether a travelling vehicle is off the lane or not with the function of checking the location of tire imprint. The sensor of the WIM system has better function of classifying types of vehicles than other existing systems by detecting wheel distance and tire type such as single or dual tire. As a result, its measurement errors regarding 12 types of vehicle classification are very low, which is an advantage of the sensor. The verification tests of the system under all conditions showed that the mean measurement errors of axle weight and gross axle weight were within 15 percent and 7 percent respectively. According to the WIM rate standard of the COST-323, the WIM system of this study is ranked at B(10). It means the system is appropriate for the purpose of design, maintenance and valuation of road infrastructure. The WIM system in testing a 5-axle cargo truck, the most frequently overloaded vehicle among 12 types of vehicles, is ranked at A(5) which means the system is available to control overloaded vehicles. In this case, the measurement errors of axle load and gross axle load were within 8 percent and 5 percent respectively. Weight analysis of all types of vehicles on highways showed that the most frequently overloaded vehicles were type 5, 6, 7 and 12 among 12 vehicle types. As a result, it is necessary to use more effective overweight enforcement system for vehicles which are seriously overloaded due to their lift axles. Traffic volume data depending upon vehicle types is basic information for road design and construction, maintenance, analysis of traffic flow, road policies as well as research.

  • 본 논문에서는 3차원 스테레오 영상에서의 시각적 피로도와 안구의 운동량과의 상관관계를 도출하고 시각적 피로도 측정 시스템을 제안한다. 제안한 측정 방법은 3차원 스테레오 영상 시청자의 피로도가 누적되었을 때, 안구의 단속성 운동(saccade)이 감소할 것이라는 가정에 기반을 둔다. 액티브 셔터글라스 방식의 3D 안경을 착용한 시청자의 동공을 검출하고 추적하기 위해 적외선 광원 및 적외선 카메라를 이용한다. 획득한 영상에 대해 이진 임계화를 적용하고 타원 피팅을 수행하여 동공의 위치를 검출한다. 피팅된 타원의 이심률과 크기 및 위치를 제한하여 검출 오류를 줄인다. 검출된 동공의 위치를 바탕으로 안구의 단속성 운동량을 측정한다. 실험에는 변이 정도가 크지 않아 편안하게 시청 가능한 스테레오 영상과 과도한 변이를 가져 시청하는데 불편한 영상이 분리되어 사용되었다. 이들 영상에 대해 각각 실험자의 단속성 운동량을 측정하였다. 실험 결과에서 안구의 단속성 운동량이 변이가 큰 영상에서 그렇지 않은 영상에 비해 감소하는 경향이 나타났다.

  • In this paper, we propose a method of vehicle license plate recognition on PDA for illegal parking car regulation. we classified three kinds of vehicle license plates being used down to date since the introduction of each vehicle license Plate using features of each one. And we recognized vehicle license plates segmentation the AreaName, the AreaCode, the TypeCharacter and the Numbers. A 88.7% recognition accuracy was obtained through the experiment of the proposed vehicle license plate recognition system using the obtained images of PDA.

  • Because vehicles increases very rapidly by elevation of people living standard since 1995 years, become parking space of residential street poorly and most vehicles is doing unlawfulness parking to two faces road. So, was placed popular enmity and administration's difficulty by operation of system that have been enforcing Resident Priority Parking System in each ward office since 1996 years, but is not computerized. In this paper examines about GIS technology, wire and wireless communication technology, character recognition technology etc. that is base technology necessary to Design and Implementation Wire and Wireless Integrated System for Resident Priority Parking System. Explain main process, That is registration, assignment, control, traction process. And see execution appearance of implementation system. Operation of integrated system is considered very rapidly regulation illegal parking and Illegal parking expect on the decrease.

  • Overload vehicles operate damage to road, bridge, and then increasing in maintenance and repair cost because structures are reduced durability. The existing regulation systems have many problems and need coping measure. Therefore, this paper organized Ubiquitous sensor network system for development of intelligent auto overload vehicle regulation system about high speed vehicles, also axial load WIM sensor was selected by indoor experiment through wireless protocol. And we examined possibility U-load auto overload vehicle regulation system through experiment of the transmission and reception distance. If this system will apply to road and bridge, might be effective for economy and convenience through establishment of U-IT system. And high speed vehicle that was amalgamate IT technology and existing overload regulation problems, also tested wireless sensor for USN organization. This experiment aim to organize system interface for user through perfection man-less, wireless system of Internal/External Network from high speed WIN sensor with USN organization. Accordingly, it is necessary experimentation through Test Bed for constitution External network and application of actually regulations using WCDMA/HSDPA.

Unmanned Enforcement System for Illegal Parking and Stopping Vehicle using Adaptive Gaussian Mixture Model (적응적 가우시안 혼합 모델을 이용한 불법주정차 무인단속시스템)

  • As the world is trying to establish smart city, unmanned vehicle control systems are being widely used. This paper writes about an unmanned parking control system that uses an adaptive background image modeling method, suggesting the method of updating the background image, modeled with an adaptive Gaussian mixture model, in both global and local way according to the moving object. Specifically, this paper focuses on suggesting two methods; a method of minimizing the influence of a moving object on a background image and a method of accurately updating the background image by quickly removing afterimages of moving objects within the area of interest to be monitored. In this paper, through the implementation of the unmanned vehicle control system, we proved that the proposed system can quickly and accurately distinguish both moving and static objects such as vehicles from the background image.
