X-Ray Crystal Structure Determination of Diazatricyclodione (디아자트리사이클로디온의 X선 결정구조 결정)

  • 1,3-Diazatricyclo (5.2.1.Os .to) decane-2,11-dione , C8H10N2O2. MW=166.15, Monoclinic, P2/n a= 6.585(7) , b=9.089(4), c=12.937(10)A, β=95.72(5)˚, V=770.4A3, Z=4, Dc=1.43(4) g/cm3, λ (Mo Ka)=0.7093A, r=1.Ocm-1, T=295˚K, final R=0.037 for 698 unique observed reflections. The compound is the product of the intramolecular (2+2) photocycloaddition of Nl-(w-butenyl)uracil and belongs to a (5.2.1.O5.10) tricyclic system. A pair of molecules related by the inversion symmetry are held together by the strong hydrogen bonding interactions between 02 and H3 of the uracil moiety.

  • The crystal structure of fenothiocarb(S-4-phenoxybutyl dimethylthiocarbamate), C13H19NO2S is monoclinic, space group P21/c, a=9.045(1)Å, b=14.577(2)Å, c=10.727(2)Å, β=103.56(1)°, Z=4, V=1375.20(6)Å3, Dc=1.23g/cm3, λ(Mo-Kα)=0.71069Å, μ=2.3cm-1, F(000)=544, temperature : 293±3K, R=0.049 for 1543 unique observed reflections. The structure was determined by direct method and refined by full-matrix least squares method. The molecules are contacted to the c axis with two fold screw and van der Waales force.

  • The structure of Tetrapropionyloxycalix[4]arene(C40H40O8) has been studied by X-ray diffraction method. The crystal is monoclinic a=13.921(3), b=13.552(2), c=19.840(5)Å, β=110.38(2)°, Z=4 T=297K, Dc=1.23gcm-3, F(000)=1376, Systematic absences : hkl none, h0l : h+l=2n, 0k0: k=2n define space group P21/n. The structure was solved by direct method and refined by full-matrix least-squares methods to final R of 0.06 for 2514 observed reflections. The macrocycle exists in partial cone conformation. Three propionyl groups direct toward the exterior of the macrocycle cavity.

  • Re(≡NC6H5)(PPh3)2CI3, I, reacted with, 1,2-bis(diphenylphosphino)ethane (DPPE) to give fac-Re(≡NC6H5)(DPPE)CI3, II. The product has been characterized by 1H-NMR, elemental analysis, and X-ray crystallography. II Crystalizes in the monoclinic space group Pc, with cell parameters a=11.083(3)Å, b=10.930(1)Å, c=14.081(2)Å, β=108.37(2)°, Z=2. Least-squares refinement of the structure led to a R(wR2)factor of 0.0254(0.0607) for 2888 unique reflections of I>2σ(I) and for 352 variables.

Crystal Structure of Nalidixic Acid (Nalidixic Acid의 결정구조)

  • The crystal structure of -Ethyl-1,4-dihydro-7-methyl-1,8-naphthyridin-4-one-3-carboxylic acid [Nalicixic Acid] has been determined from single crystal X-ray diffraction study; C12H12N2O3, monoclinic, P21/c, a=8.910(2)Å, b=13.145(3)Å, c=9.370(3)Å, β =100.06(2)°, V=1080.6Å, T=293K, Z=4, CuKα(λ=1.5418Å). The molecular structure was solved by direct method and refined by full-matrix least squares to a final R=0.055 for 1555 unique observed [F0>4σ(F0)] reflections and 166 parameters. The conformation of the molecule is stabilized by an intramolecular O(17)-H(17)…O(14) hydrogen bond [2.525(2)Å, 144.3(10)°].

  • The descendants have a responsibility to conserve their cultural treasure and hand it down to posterity. Most of existing wooden properties, affected by environmental factors for many years, have been rebuilt or repaired many times. Kwandeogjeong, Cultural Properties Materials 322, has gone through rebuilding or repairing 11 times. It was natural that Kwandeogjeong lost its originality and attempt to restore it was made by Cultural Heritage Administration of Korea. But the restoration depends on a piece of picture, which was taken before 1900. It had been impossible to draw any data from the picture for restoration. In this study, I was able to obtain data for its restoration through geometrical analysis, using the vanishing point of the picture. These data were also used as preliminary data for its restoration.

Synthesis and $CO_2$ Separation Characteristics of ZSM-5 Zeolite Composite Membranes (ZSM-5 제올라이트 복합분리막의 제조 및 $CO_2$ 분리 특성)

  • ZSM-5계 제올라이트는 직경이 약 6${\AA}$인 균일한 3차원 채널 형태의 기공을 형성하므로 이를 이용한 기체 분리막은 분자체가름(molecular sieving)이나 미세기공확산(micropore diffusion) 및 표면확산(surface diffusion) 메커니즘에 의해 최근 지구 온난화의 주범으로 지목되고 있는 CO$_2$ 기체에 대해 높은 분리 효율을 기대할 수 있으므로 ZSM-5 복합분리막의 제조 및 기체 투과 특성과 CO$_2$ 분리 특성에 대해 연구하였으며 다음과 같은 결과를 얻을 수 있었다. 콜로이달 실리카 졸에 질산 알루미늄, 수산화 나트륨 및 TPABr을 첨가한 혼합졸과 물유리를 증류수로 희석한 후 TPBr을 첨가한 용액을 각각 150~180${\AA}$의 온도 범위의 오토클레이브에서 수열 처리하여 ZSM-5와 실리카라이트를 합성하였다. 합성 제올라이트의 결정 구조는 사방정이었으나 450${\AA}$에서 하소하였을 때에는 단사정으로 전이됨과 동시에 채널 속을 채우고 있던 TPABr이 제거되면서 제올라이트의 3차원 채널 형태의 기공 구조가 생성되었다. 제올라이트 결정의 형상과 크기는 실리카 공급원과 반응용액/졸의 농도에 따라 매우 민감하게 변화되었다. 하소 제올라이트의 비표면적은 약 360 m$^2$/g 이었다. 합성 제올라이트의 표면은 소수성인 반면에 높은 CO$_2$ 흡착능을 갖고 있어서 CO$_2$ 분리용 막의 재료로써 적합하였다.

Mineralogy and Iron Chemistry of Garnets and Clinopyroxenes in the Skarn Deposits, the Hambaek Geosyncline Belt, Korea (함백지향내의 스카른광상에서 산출되는 석류석과 단사휘석의 광물학과 철화학)

  • In the southern limb of the Hambaek geosyncline belt, large-scaled skarn deposits are developed in the Cambro-Ordovician sedimentary rocks of the Chosun Supergroup. They are the Sangdong tungsten deposit, Geodo iron-copper deposit, Yeonhwa I and II lead-zinc deposits, and Ulchin zinc-lead deposit, all of which are associated with various skarn minerals. Though different occurrences and paragenesis are found in different deposits, most skarn deposits always have skarns of garnet (andradite-grossular series) and clinopyroxene(heden-bergite-diopside series). Andradite and hedenbergite are Fe-dominant members, but show different oxidation states, that is, Fe3+ for andradite and Fe2+ for hedenbergite. According to iron chemistry and log([Fe/Al]gd/[Fe/Mg]cpx) derived from equilibrium reactions, the diopside-andradite and hedenbergite-grossular pairs suggest the oxidized state (dian type) and reduced state (hegro type), respectively. Among skarn deposits developed in the Hambaek geosynline, it can be classified that the Geodo and Yeonhwa I skarns are of dian type, while the Sangdong, Yeonhwa II, and Ulchin deposits are of hegro type. This classification is not applicable to all kinds of skarn deposits, but may be applicable to such deposits as are more controlled by oxygen fugacity than composition of skarn fluid.

Nonlinear Dynamic Properties of Fiber Reinforced Soils (섬유혼합토의 비선형 동적물성치)

  • In this paper, deformation characteristics of fiber-mixed-soils were studied at small strain range(0.0001%~1%) using resonant column test and triaxial test, and reinforcement effect was evaluated by the measure of maximum shear moduli. The effects of the major parameters such as fiber content, aspect ratio and fiber type on reinforcement were comparatively assessed. The specimens were remolded from Jumunjin Sand randomly mixed with discrete polypropylene staple fibers. Maximum shear moduli of fiber-mixed-soils increased by up to 30% and modulus reduction was also restrained in nonlinear range. Shear moduli increased as the aspect ratio increases. The reinforcement was more effective with fibrillated fiber than with monofilament fiber. The most effective reinforcement was achieved with the specimen of 0.3 % fiber content.

Crack Formation and Propagation Behavior of $Al_2$$O_3$/$ZrO_2$Laminate Composites ($Al_2$$O_3$/$ZrO_2$적층복합체의 균열생성 및 전파거동)

  • 연속슬립캐스팅 및 상압소결법으로 $Al_2$O$_3$/ZrO$_2$적층복합체를 제조하였으며, 적층복합체에서 ZrO$_2$층을 단사정, 정방정 및 입방정으로 각각 달리 적층하여 균열생성 및 전파 거동에 미치는 ZrO$_2$상의 영향을 고찰하였다. 균열 생성은 냉각시 $Al_2$O$_3$층과 ZrO$_2$층 간의 열팽창 계수의 차이에 의한 열적불일치응력이 가장 큰 요인으로 작용하였다. 적층체 내에 존재하는 균열은 tetra-ZrO$_2$의 경우 적층두께 조절로 가능하였으며, cubic-ZrO$_2$의 경우는 냉각속도 조절로 균열밀도로 크게 낮출 수 있었다. $Al_2$O$_3$/ZrO$_2$적층체를 구성하는 세가지 ZrO$_2$상(mono, tetra, cubic)들 중에서 cubic-ZrO$_2$가 포함된 적층체의 경우 $Al_2$O$_3$와 ZrO$_2$계면에 형성된 잔류압축응력으로 인한 균열굴절 효과를 얻을 수 있었다.
