This paper is concerned with automatic telemetering system which reads the consumed quantity of electricity, gas, and piped water. The existing metering method such that a meterman visits households and directly reads meters can cause several problems, including violation of privacy and the possibility of criminal accident, as well the inefficiency in viewpoint of system operation and rate notification. In this paper, we propose a new automatic telemetering and rate notification system, in which the system reads several meters at remote locations and notifies the rates to the customer's cellular phone with short message service(SMS). The proposed system has been developed by using CDMA mobile communication modules and personal computers. This system can operate only with cellular communication network even without wired-internet facilities. In particular, the developed system can provide home security and convenience as well as cost reduction, and thus be applied to intelligent home networks.

Although it's been nearly decade since the electronic notarization system enforced, the utilization is not high because of the troublesomeness of the client or his agent to visit the notarial office directly. Recently, the ministry of justice introduced e-notary based on audio-visual conference through amendament of the notarial law, and hence it will vitalize the usage of e-notary. In addition, due to the spread of smartphones, many people use SMS messages to express simple statements or promises. However, in case of legal disputes, the judgment of the court is different according to the case. The electronic notarization system can be used to prove of evidence of SMS messages, however, there is a hassle to convert SMS messages to electronic documents. To solve this problem, this paper proposes an SMS notarization system using smartphones. The proposed system uses reliable notarization server and it is divided into notarization system for message senders and notarization system for message receivers according to notary requestor.

As Internet is spreaded widely, the virtual communities among people with the same interest and hobby are dynamically created. The exchange of fruitful opinion and information makes them to be closed, not only with the help of the messaging system but also wireless terminals. The messaging system is a core technology supporting the global community services like chatting, messenger, short message services, and file sharing services. The paper focus on the design of software architecture for messaging system and the engineering model for QoS support.

임베디드 시스템은 마이크로프로세서와 소프트웨어 기술의 빠른 성장에 따른 소형화, 경량화에 힘입어 각종 분야에서 널리 사용되고 있다. 본 연구는 임베디드 시스템을 이용하여 원격 제어, 실시간 모니터링을 지원하는 디지털 제어 방식의 원격 임베디드 컨트롤러를 개발한다. 개발된 컨트롤러는 기기 운용 과정에서 발생할 수 있는 각종 에러를 단문 메시지 서비스(SMS)를 이용해 전승하는 장점이 있다. 이는 기초 산업 분야에서 임베디드 시스템 운용의 가능성을 보임으로써 산업 전반에 걸친 활용 모델이 될 것이다.

In this paper, a new cm (Caller ID) transceiver is introduced for SMS(Short Message Service) and e-mail services by the wire and digital cordless phones in 900MHz like as mobile phones. For this wireless digital cm phone, improved radio transceiver modules is proposed and implementedusing the analysis of data processing errors. As a result, many wireless cm services can be popular without the kind of switching systems.

In this paper, the traffic carrying capacity of the IMT-2000 ATM-MSC is analyzed by using the reference throughput based on ITU-R. The IMT-2000 services are classified into circuit switching(speech. circuit-switched data. high interactive multimedia) and packet switching(simple message, medium multimedia, high multimedia). The indoor vehicle and pedestrian users are considered. The AAL type 2 for the speech are considered. The ratio of indoor：pedestrian：vehicle are assumed to be 40：40：20%, and size 256 of ATM-MSC are designed.

모바일 산업이 발달하면서 사람들은 개인간의 보다 섬세한 정보교환과 이로 인한 끈끈한 유대관계를 추구하게 되었다. 이러한 요구에 소셜 네트워킹 서비스 들이 단문 메시지 중심으로 활성화 되어 왔고, 스마트폰과 결합하면서 위치 정보를 추가하고자 하는 요구와 필요성이 문제시되고 있다. 그러나, 이러한 위치 정보는 민감한 정보이기 때문에 보안 및 프라이버시 문제가 대두되고 있다. 가족 구성원의 위치 정보를 공용 서버에 저장하는 것은 서비스 사용 활성화를 저해하는 요인이 될 수 있기 때문에, 본 논문에서는 가정내 홈 서버에서 사용할 수 있는 가정용 위치 정보 기반의 SNS 서비스를 제안하며, 사회의 가장 작은 구성 단위인 가정에서 가족 구성원들간의 친목과 유대관계를 증진시킬 수 있는 보다 공익적인 서비스를 제안하고자 한다.

이동통신서비스가 급격히 발전함에 따라 이동통신을 통한 회선 (circuit) 이용률은 점차 포화상태에 다다르고 있으며, 대신 인터넷 접속과 같은 데이터 서비스의 수요가 급격히 증가하고 있는 추세이다. 초기 이동통신 시스템은 데이터 서비스의 경우 간단한 메시지 전달을 주로 하는 단문데이터 서비스 위주였으나 차세대 이동통신 시스템은 대용량의 멀티미디어 서비스가 가능한 고속 데이터 서비스로 진화해 갈 것으로 예상된다. 또한 차세대 이동통신 시스템은 ［그림 1］에서 보는 바와 같이 무선 접속 시스템 및 단말기의 종류 관계없이 모든 종류의 서비스를 언제 어디서나 최적의 전송률로 이용할 수 있는 것을 목표로 하고 있으며, 특히 단일한 새로운 망의 출현에 의한 서비스 제공보다는 IP 기반 이동성 지원에 의해 서로 상이한 기존 망간의 끊임없는 연동이 보다 현실적인 차세대 이동통신의 요구사항으로 떠오를 것이 전망된다.(중략)

새 천년이 시작하면서 자본주의의 새로운 기업 모델로 e-Biz가 각광받았다. 하지만 곧바로 사양되었으며, 이 시점에서 새로운 대안으로 떠오른 것이 바로 모바일 인터넷 비즈니스였다. M-Biz는 편재성(Ubiquity), 접근성(Reachability), 보안성(Security), 위치확인(Localiz ation), 즉시 연결성(Instant Connectivity), 개인화(Personalization)의 모바일 인터넷 장점을 이용하여 뚜렷한 수익모델로 가능해졌기 때문이다. 이런 모바일 컨텐츠 서비스는 정보제공(Information), Entertainment, 상거래(Transaction), 단문메시지 (Communication) 등을 현재 제공하고 있으며, 이러한 기능들을 현재 개발되고 있는 홈 오토메이션 시스템과 결합하여 새로운 형태의 홈 오토메이션을 기반으로 하는 모바일 서비스 지원 기법을 본 논문에서는 논하였다.

기존 지능망 서비스들이 포화 상태에 이르게 됨에 따라 수익이 나는 새로운 서비스를 개발하는 것이 점점 더 어려워지고 있다. 요즈음 전통적인 전화망과 인터넷의 결합이 새로운 경향으로 나타나고 있다. PC와 같은 인터넷 단말은 전화망의 전통적인 단말보다 저장 장치 및 유저 인터페이스 면에서 더욱 더 강력한 능력을 가지고 있다. IT 개발자들은 전화 분야의 전문 지식을 갖고 있지 않아도 Parlay API를 사용하면 새로운 통신 서비스를 쉽게 만들수 있다. HTTP 상의 SOAP을 사용하여 쉽게 두 컴퓨터 노드간의 통신이 가능하게 할 수 있더라도 일반적인 개발자는 현란한 XML 포맷 때문에 SOAP 메시지를 처리하는데 어려움을 느낀다. REST 기반 API는 이러한 것의 좋은 대체재가 될 수 있는데, 추가적인 프로토콜 층이 없이 HTTP 층만 있기 때문이다. 본 논문에서는 통화 및 메시징 서비스를 만들기 위한 REST 기반의 Open APl 를 소개한다. 제안되는 API는 클릭투콜, 미니 컨퍼런스, 통화 녹음, 주문형 오디오 재생, 단문 메시징 및 음성 메시징 기능을 제공한다. 제안되는 API 특징은 전화망과 인터넷의 컨버전스의 강력함을 보여준다.
