This study investigates the relationship between venture capital (hereafter, VC) syndicate diversity and the IPO performance of an entrepreneurial company backed by the syndicate. Specifically, focusing on three types of diversity within a VC syndicate, which are aligned with Harrison and Klein's seminal categorization in 2007 (i.e., separation, variety, and disparity), this study suggests their distinct effects on performance. Two stage least square analyses with 1,127 VC syndicate investments made by 6,268 VC firms strongly supported the hypotheses. The results showed that that capacity diversity decreases the performance and that expertise diversity and network diversity increase it.

Biodiversity informatics applies information technology methods in organizing, accessing, visualizing, and analyzing primary biodiversity data and quantitative data management through the scientific names of accepted names and synonyms. We reviewed the GBIF data published by China, Japan, Taiwan, and internal institutes, such as NIBR, NIE, and KNA of the Republic of Korea, and assessed data in diverse aspects of data quality using BRAHMS software. Most data from four Asian countries have quality problems with the lack of data consistency and missing information on georeferenced data, collectors, collection date, and place names (gazetteers) or other invalid data forms. The major problem is that biodiversity management institutions in East Asia are using unstructured databases and simple spreadsheet-type data. Owing to the nature of the biodiversity information, if data relationships are not structured, it would be impossible to secure the data integrity of scientific names, human names, geographical names, literature, and ecological information. For data quality, it is essential to build data integrity for database management and training systems for taxonomists who are continuous data managers to correct errors. Thus, publishers in East Asia play an essential role not only in using specialized software to manage biodiversity data but also in developing structured databases and ensuring their integration and value within biodiversity publishing platforms.

The purpose of this study is to investigate the effects of informational diversity-sensitive orientation on employee attitudes, focusing on the moderating effects of communication. Recently, diversity within organizations has intensified and the importance of diversity management within organizations is increasing. Diversity studies have focused on the variance of objective diversity characteristics, and have provided mixed results. In order to overcome limitations in the research, this study focuses on members' perception of diversity. To this end, the variable of informational diversity-sensitive orientation(IDSO) was used. Sample data is derived from 301 surveys of employees in firms located in South Korea. Results show that informational diversity-sensitive orientation(IDSO) had a positive effect on job satisfaction and organizational commitment. Regarding the moderating effect of communication, a positive moderating effect was exhibited only in co-worker communication, and differential influence derived from communication type. Based on the analysis results, we discuss research implications and directions for future research.

In recent decades, product variety has increased dramatically in most industries. Rapidly evolving technologies, global competition, and sophisticated customers have contributed to an increase in product variety in many industries. In this paper, I study the impact of product variety on several businesses in the supply chain through literature review. By study of literature. this paper presents the benefits and drawbacks of increasing product variety on functions performed in several departments, such as engineering, manufacturing, purchasing, logistics and marketing. It provides a brief overview of the various techniques like modularity, component sharing, and platform-based development, which are helpful in reducing the costs, when designing for variety. It also provides a brief overview of order processing, purchased component/part variety, which are helpful in reducing the purchasing costs, and customer satisfaction, market advantage, market share, competitive advantage and demand forecast, which are useful in impact of product variety on marketing. Future research directions are discussed.

불균형 데이터의 분류의 성능을 향상시키기 위한 앙상블 구성 방법에 관하여 연구한다. 앙상블의 성능은 앙상블을 구성한 기계학습 모델 간의 상호 다양성에 큰 영향을 받는다. 기존 방법에서는 앙상블에 속할 모델 간의 상호 다양성을 높이기 위해 Feature Engineering 을 사용하여 다양한 모델을 만들어 사용하였다. 그럼에도 생성된 모델 가운데 유사한 모델들이 존재하며 이는 상호 다양성을 낮추고 앙상블 성능을 저하시키는 문제를 가지고 있다. 불균형 데이터의 경우에는 유사 모델 판별을 위한 기존 다양성 지표가 다수 클래스에 편향된 수치를 산출하기 때문에 적합하지 않다. 본 논문에서는 기존 다양성 지표를 개선하고 가지치기 방안을 결합하여 유사 모델을 판별하고 상호 다양성이 높은 후보 모델들을 앙상블에 포함시키는 방법을 제안한다. 실험 결과로써 제안한 방법으로 구성된 앙상블이 불균형이 심한 데이터의 분류 성능을 향상시킴을 확인하였다.

현대 해운산업에서 성별 다양성은 산업의 경쟁력 및 지속가능성을 높이는 핵심요소로 간주된다. 본 연구는 해운산업에서 성별 다양성을 증대하기 위해 필요한 대안을 식별하고 이를 우선순위로 식별하는 것을 목표로 하였다. 이를 위해 Best-Worst Method를 사용하여 성별 다양성 증대를 위한 다양한 대안들에 대한 우선순위를 정하고, 상대적 중요도를 측정하였다. 본 연구를 통해 도출된 대안들은 해운기업이 성별 다양성을 실제로 실현시키기 위한 구체적인 방안을 제시한다.

20세기초 시작된 실험동물분야는 다른 분야에 비해 뒤늦게 시작된 분야임에도 불구하고 생명해석과 의학의 발전과 더불어 급격히 발전한 분야라 할 수 있다. 특히, 1950년대 오염되지 않은 다양한 청정동물의 개발, 1970-80년대의 다양한 질환모델동물의 개발에 이어, 분자생물학의 발전과 더불어 1990년대를 거쳐 21세기의 다양한 유전자도입동물가 개발되고 있다. 이는 자연계에 존재하는 생물자원만이 아닌, 유전자조작으로 다양하게 개발되는 새로운 생물자원을 포함하므로, 그 다양성의 가치와 정보의 집대성은 대단히 중요한 일이며, 유전자연구의 한축이 되고있는 bioinformatic 분야에서도 많은 부분 할애되고 있다고 해도 과언이 아닐 것이다.

솔리드 모델의 새로운 분야인 복합다양체 모델을 지원하는 자료구조중 Radial-edge 자료구조 Vertex-Based 자료구조, 부분면 자료구조에 대하여, 각각의 위상요소들을 살펴보고 그들의 차이점을 비교 검토하였다. 그 결과 각 자료 구조들은 각각 독특한 장점을 갖고 있음을 알 수 있었다. 즉 Radial-edge 자료구조는 자료의 저장성 및 알고리즘의 복잡성 등에서 무난한 편이며, 부분면 자료구조는 자료 저장공간 측면에서 유리하고, Vertex-based 자료구조는 꼭지점에서의 복합다양체 상황 표현이 가장 명확히 됨을알수 있었다. 이와 같은 복합다양체를 지원하는 자료구조들의 특징과 차이점의 분석을 통하여 복합다양체 모델의 개발을 위한 기초를 마련하였다.

본 연구에서는 디지털 캘리그래피 콘텐츠 다양한 제작과 활용을 제안한다. 캘리그래피는 기존의 아날로그 텍스트를 디지털 아트예술로 승화하여 글자 자체로서의 예술성과 이미지와 합성하여 다양한 효과를 연출함으로써 예술성과 작품성 그리고 취미 등 삶에 다양한 창조의 가치를 부여하여 디지털 예술의 한 영역으로 발전 할 수 있다고 사료하며 그 활용도는 증대 된다고 볼 수 있다. 따라서 본 연구에서는 캘리그래피의 다양성을 제시한다.

본고에서는 사물인터넷 시대에 다양한 지능형 서비스를 제공하기 위한 Sensing Data들을 수집하고, 이를 분석하여 새로운 응용 분야에 적용할 수 있는 Platform 에 대해서 알아본다. 구체적으로, 최근 해외의 주요 4가지 사례를 가지고 기업 및 개인에게 다양한 형태로 서비스를 제공하는 Platform에 대해 자세히 알아보며, 여러 분야의 글로벌 기업에서 다양한 서비스로 활용 되고 있다는 동향을 파악할 수 있다. 이것을 바탕으로 국내에서도 사물인터넷을 통한 다양한 산업분야의 정보들과 해외의 다양한 산업의 Data들을 통합하고 관리할 수 있는 체계적인 지능형 Platform에 대해 알아본다.
