  • We present interactive methods for visualizing the cloud height data and the backscatter data collected from ceilometers in the three-dimensional virtual space. Because ceilometer data is high-dimensional, large-size data associated with both spatial and temporal information, it is highly improbable to exhibit the whole aspects of ceilometer data simply with static, two-dimensional images. Based on the three-dimensional rendering technology, our visualization methods allow the user to observe both the global variations and the local features of the three-dimensional representations of ceilometer data from various angles by interactively manipulating the timing and the view as desired. The cloud height data, coupled with the terrain data, is visualized as a realistic cloud animation in which many clouds are formed and dissipated over the terrain. The backscatter data is visualized as a three-dimensional terrain which effectively represents how the amount of backscatter changes according to the time and the altitude. Our system facilitates the multivariate analysis of ceilometer data by enabling the user to select the date to be examined, the level-of-detail of the terrain, and the additional data such as the planetary boundary layer height. We demonstrate the usefulness of our methods through various experiments with real ceilometer data collected from 93 sites scattered over the country.

  • This study was performed to investigate the influence of giant embryo feeding on hypoglycemia in streptozotocin-induced diabetic rats. Streptozotocin -induced diabetic rats were fed four kinds of experimental diets such as corn starch diet as a control, polished rice diet, brown rice diet and giant embeyonic rice diet for 6 weeks. The body weight gain diabetic of control was signaficantly suppressed compared to that of the normal. The supplementation of giant embryo increased the surivival rate. Feeding of giant embryo appeared to have ameliorating effects on diabetic symptoms including features such as polyphasia, polyuria. Giant embryo shortened gastrointestinal transit time and increased total fecal weight, total fecal dry weight and fecal water content compared with diabetic control. Giant embryo showed fasting blood glucose lowering effect compared with diabetic control. The disaccharidase activities in proximal part of intestine such as maltase sucrase and lactase in giant embryo feeding groups were lower than diabetic control. The results of this study show that giant embryo supplementation may have a beneficial Veffect on the hypoglycemia may be useful in the diet therapy for diabetic.

  • Halyomorpha halys (St${\aa}$l) (Hemiptera: Pentatomidae) is a typical polyphagous stink bug causing losses in several host plants including leguminous crops and fruits. Nutritional status of fruits such as apple and orange for the development of H. halys is not yet clear. We evaluated fruits of apple and orange with or without soybean-peanuts as food sources to investigate development, mortality and fecundity of the stink bug in a controlled condition. Those only fed on water could not develop into third instars. H. halys could not develop into fourth instar on apple only food. However, on an orange only food, 14% of H. halys emerged as adults. Those fed on orange only food had the longest development period (74.2 d). Total mortality of those fed on foods consisting of soybean-peanut ranged from 38 to 44%. In an average a female laid 169~190 eggs in a lifetime and those eggs had 81~83% hatchability. Results indicated that the apple fruit as a solo food source is an incomplete food for H. halys development while orange could support development of only few of the bugs.

  • An 8-years-old intact female shih tzu was referred to the Veterinary Medical Teaching Hospital Chungnam National University for treatment of suspected pyometra. This dog had clinical symptoms of vaginal bleeding, vulvar discharge, polyphagia, polyuria/polydipsia and vomiting. In hematologic examinations, complete blood count (CBC) revealed mild leucopenia and a serum biochemistry profile revealed increased ALP, decreased GLU values. Diagnosis was made by radiographic examination, ultrasonographic examination, abdominocentesis. Peritonitis secondary to pyometra was tentative diagnosed. Surgical treatment was proceeding for ovariohysterectomy and peritoneal saline irrigation. It was confirmed that severe necrotized enteritis and pus leakage to ovarian bursa with pyometra. In this report, secondary severe disease also must be considered in diagnosis of pyometra because septic peritonitis could be occurred by pus leakage from uterus with pyometra.

  • In this study, cysteine compounds found in genus Allium plants, including N-acetyl cysteine(NAC), S-allyl cysteine(SAC), S-ethyl cysteine(SEC), and S-methyl cysteine(SMC), were examined for effects on blood glucose, glucose tolerance, and plasma lipid concentrations in streptozotocin(STZ)-induced diabetic mice. In the mice, the ingestion of these cysteine compounds did not affect blood glucose levels significantly. However, their ingestion did improve the diabetic symptoms of polydipsia, polyphagia, polyuria, and weight loss. Glucose tolerance was also found to be improved in the STZ diabetic animals by feeding the cysteine compounds. Treatment of the compounds also caused a slight decrease in plasma concentrations of total cholesterol along with increases in HDL-cholesterol and slight decreases in LDL-cholesterol, resulting in a significant decrease in the atherogenic index of plasma in the diabetic animals. They also showed reductions of liver triglyceride content to relieve diabetic fatty liver syndrome. In summary, the cysteine compounds such as NAC, SAC, SEC, and SMC, found in genus Allium plants, had certain beneficial effects on blood glucose metabolism along with preventing abnormalities in lipid metabolism, a complication of diabetes, by improving the atherogenic index of plasma and fatty liver in STZ-induced diabetic mice.

  • Block chain technology revolutionizes the 'double entry bookkeeping' of accounting principles in 600 years. It will be an opportunity for you to become one. The advent of the block chain will revolutionize the accounting world. It is no exaggeration to say that it is a skill. The use of block chains for accounting leads to the occurrence of transactions. It's easy to identify a transaction, and it's easy to fake or tamper with it. The accounting industry because it is difficult to communicate transparent accounting information to stake holders. Transformations will be possible across the board (Carlozo, 2017). An entity shall provide financial information that is useful to interested parties in making reasonable economic decisions. Transactions arising from business activities are recorded and provided in the books. Interested parties are here. We need to make decisions to protect our interests and make those decisions rationally. To make a decision, we know how the outcome of the decision will affect our self-interest. Because it has to do so, it uses corporate information for this purpose. But the investor is one way of doing business. It is difficult to trust the information provided by (Yermack, 2017). As a result, ICO companies, startups, small businesses lose a lot of business opportunities because they don't have investors. In addition, the management mixes cash flows with accounting interests to indicate changes in cash flows. It experiences failure in its business due to its inability to analyze and predict faithfully. But it's a blockhead in accounting. Applying the factors and recording them in the book will result in a number of benefits for different stake holders. It can be provided. The financial information in the block chain is not subject to further review or verification. It can improve the timeliness and increase reliability of financial information because it cannot be forged or tampered with (Delloitte, 2016). Based on the fourth industrial revolution, the pace of change in all sectors of society has never been faster. Based on block chain technology, decision-making structure is based on vertical structure of the past. Transforming into a horizontal structure collapses existing tools and advances transparency and decentralization a change of Copernican interpersonal awareness with the trend of the times, which is becoming angry with modern people.

  • This study was performed to provide basic for predicting the usefulness of Gastrodiae rhizoma(Cho'nma) as a food material for oriental applied diet therapy(YackSun). Thus, Gastrodiae rhizoma was used to develop a traditional Korean snack, Dasik. As a useful food resource, Gastrodiae rhizoma along with Cortex fraxini powder, was used to prepare Dasik. Cho'nma powder was added to the Dasik 63.2%(Dasik-1), 42.2%(Dasik-2) and 21.0%(Dasik-5) of Cho'nma powder to Dasik in one piece(5 g). The moisture and crude ash contents of the Dasik-1, 2 and 3 were analyzed. Physio-chemical analysis and a sensory test were also performed on the Dasik. Moisture and crude ash contents of Dasik-1 were 20.16% and 0.65%, respectively. Moisture and crude ash contents of Dasik-2 and Dasik-3 were 22.92 and 27.17% and 0.49 and 0.23% respectively. from the color test, the t value of Dasik-1 was found to be significantly low but the b value of Dasik-1 significantly high compared with the other preparations. The addition of Cho'nma had a tendency to impart high hardness, fracturability, gumminess and chewiness. Therefore, the addition of Cho'nma made the texture of Dasik denser. From the sensory test, the color, chewiness and overall acceptability of Dasik-1 were found to be significantly high. In conclusion, the addition of 63.2% Cho'nma per piece would be a useful recipe to enhance the quality of Dasik, and the flour Cho'nma showed better result than the Dasik-2 and Dasik-3.

  • This study was designed to compare the antidiabetic activities between Ginseng Radix Alba (GRA), Ginseng Radix Rubra (GRR) and Panax Quinquefoli Radix (PQR) in multiple low dose (MLD) streptozotocin (STZ) (20 mg/kg i.p injection far 5 days) induced diabetic rats. In the glucose tolerance test, 500 mg/kg of each ginseng ethanol extract was administered intraperitoneally 30 min before glucose challenge. While GRA failed to lower blood glucose level, GRR and PQR both significantly prevented the hyperglycemia when compared with the control group. In the MLD STZ-induced diabetic rats, 300 mg/kg of each ginseng ethanol extract was administered intraperitoneally for 2 weeks. Plasma glucose and insulin levels were markedly improved in all treatment groups. While GRR showed the highest antidiabetic activity, and GRA and PQR revealed somewhat equipotent antidiabetic activities, but less than that in GRR-treated group as far as blood parameters and diabetic symptoms such as polyphagia and polydipsia are concerned. Blood glucose levels were closely associated with plasma insulin levels, and this result may suggest that ginseng ethanol extracts showed the activity to enhance insulin secretion as well as preventing destruction of pancreatic islet cells. To elucidate the relationship between antidiabetic activity and ginsenoside profiles, seven major ginsenosides were quantified by HPLC. We figured out the fact that protopanaxatriol (PPT): proptopanaxadiol (PPD) ratio might play an important role in its hypoglycemia effects.

  • The axillary buds of 15-year-old Tilia amurensis were cultured on Saito and Ide (IS), Murashige and Skoog (MS) media and woody plant medium (WPM) to establish an effective micropropagation method. Five levels of 6-benzylaminopurine (BAP) were tested. On IS medium and WPM addition of 1.0/l BAP enhanced shoot development and shoot elongation, whereas addition of 0.5/l BAP was effective on MS medium. A better results were obtained from WPM with 1.0/l BAP and MS with 0.1/l BAP. Developed shoots were subcultured on each basal media but with 0.2/l BAP, Multiple shoots were almost doubled in a month. Root formation could be enhanced at higher concentration of indole-3-butyric acid (IBA). Better rooting rate (83.3%) was achieved on a half-strength MS medium with 3.0 /l IBA. Regenerated plantlets were successfully transferred to soil. To investigate the clonal variation in shoot development and shoot elongation by axillary bud culturing, seven plus tree clones were tested, Clonal variation in tissue culturability among plus trees was recognized by the Duncan's multiple range test at the 5% level. Kang Won No. 12 showed the best response on WPM with 1.0/l BAP.
