액체 로켓엔진 연소기 사용 재료의 상온 브레이징부 인장강도 특성 (The Tensile Strength at Room Temperature of Brazing Section for Materials used for Liquid Rocket Engine Combustion Chamber)

  • 재생 냉각형 액체 로켓엔진 제작에 주로 사용되는 합금에 대하여 브레이징 접합 강도 시험 및 파단면 분석을 실시하였다. 브레이징 시 사용되는 용가재(Filler Metal)로 니켈을 주성분으로 하는 BNi-2, BNi-7를 사용하였다. 5종의 합금에 대하여 모두 12개의 시편을 제작하여 인장 강도 시험 및 금속현미경을 통한 접합면 분석을 통해 재료 및 용가재 특성을 분석하였다. 크롬동과 타 합금과의 접합 강도가 크롬/지르코늄동과 타 합금과의 접합 강도보다 높게 나왔다. BNi-2가 BNi-7보다 모재에 대한 젖음성이 보다 더 우수하여 접합면 인장 강도가 BNi-2로 사용한 경우가 BNi-7을 사용한 경우보다 더 높게 나왔다.

  • 핵연료의 연소성능을 시험하기 위해서는 시험 루프에 설치된 조사리그 내에 냉각수가 순환되도록 설계되어야 한다. 이때, 조사리그 내 냉각수는 $300^{\circ}C$, 15.5 MPa 의 고온 고압으로 순환시키기 때문에 냉각수의 밀봉은 핵연료 조사리그를 제작할 때 가장 중요한 공정 중 하나이다. 특히 15 개의 계장선이 조사리그의 압력경계부위를 통과하게 되는데, 이의 밀봉을 위해 일반적으로 브레이징 공정이 적용된다. 본 연구에서는 조사리그 브레이징용 진공챔버 및 고주파 유도가열기를 포함하는 유도 브레이징 시스템을 개발하고, 다양한 실험을 통해 산화막이 발생하지 않는 공정변수를 검토하였으며, 브레이징 제품의 인장시험, 단면검사, 밀봉성능검사 등을 통해 브레이징 공정의 건전성과 밀봉성능을 검증하였다.

알루미나($Al_2O_3$)세라믹과 알루미늄(A1050)과의 대기중 브레이징 접합에 관한 연구 (A study on the brazed bonding of alumina ceramic to aluminum in the air atmosphere)

  • In recent years, many ceramic researchers have discoved various methods of joining ceramic to metal. However, most of these joining methods are perfomed under vacuum and pressured circumstances. So, when we join ceramic to metal,the proceedings are very complicated and require a very high cost. The purpose of this study is to develop a new joining method of an alumina ceramic to an aluminum metal in air atmosphere. The joining condition, such as copper metallizing, nickel plating, brazing, etc. was investigated through the shear strength test of the trial joint. The results obtained from the above experimenta are summarized as follows : 1) In the case of the $Al_2O_3$/$Al_2O_3$joint, the shear strength of the joint was affected by the various foctor such as kaolin content, copper metallizing thickness, firing temperature, firing time. 2) The better shear strength of the $Al_2O_3$/Al joint was obtained when Ni plating was conducted under higher current density than existing plating condition. 3) The shear strength of the $Al_2O_3$/Al joint increases with the Ni plating thickness is confined to the range of this paper. 4) The shear strength of the thermal-shocked specimen($Al_2O_3$/Al joint) was far more deteriorated than that of the as-bonded specimen.

  • The effect of alloying elements of Ag-Cu-Zr-X brazing alloy on the microstructure and the bond strength of $Al_2O_3/Ni-Cr$ brazed steel joint was investigated. The reaction layer, $ZrO_2$ (a=5.146 ${\AA}$ , b=5.213 ${\AA}$ , c=5.311 ${\AA}$ )was formed at the interface of $Al_2O_3/Ni-Cr$ steel joint by the redox reaction between alumina and Zr. The addition of An and Al to the Ag-Cu-Zr brazing alloy gave rise to changes in the thickness of the reaction product layer and the morphology of the brazement. Sn caused the segregation of Zr was decreased b Al the $ZrO_2$ layer formed at the Ag-Cu-Zr-Al alloy was thinner than that of $ZrO_2$ formed at the Ag-Cu-Zr-An alloy. The fracture shear strength was strongly dependent on the microstructure of the brazement. Brazing with Ag-Cu-Zr-Sn alloy resulted in a better bond strength than with Ag-Cu-Zr or Ag-Cu-Zr-Al alloy.

니켈기 초합금의 접합특성에 미치는 브레이징 공정변수의 영향 (Effect of Brazing Process Variables on joining Characteristics of Ni-based Superalloy)

  • The effects of the brazing temperature and homogenizing time for brazed specimens on the joint of Ni-based superalloys such as Haynes 250, Inconel 617 and Hastelloy-X were investigated. The brazing alloy is nickel base MBF 15. The foil had a thickness of $38{\mu}m$, which was used two sheets of that for the all experiments. The experimental brazing was carried out by a brazing process in a vacuum of approximately $2{\times}10^{-5}$ Torr, an applied pressure of about 0.74MPa and the three kinds of brazing temperatures were 1100, 1150, and $1190^{\circ}C$ for a holding time of 5 to 1440 minutes. Microstructural observations were made on the cross-sectional samples by using an optical microscope(OM), scanning electron microscope(SEM), and electron probe X-ray microanalyzer(EPMA). The tensile tests were performed at room temperature with a cross head speed 1.5 mm/min according to ASTM E8M. The results show that excellent joint tensile strengths of as high as 788MPa were obtained when processed at $1190^{\circ}C$ for 5 minutes.
