뉴스 비디오에서 앵커가 등장하는 첫 번째 프레임은 하나의 뉴스를 샷으로 설정하는데 기준이 되는 키 프레임이라고 볼 수 있다. 본 논문에서는 뉴스 비디오의 장면 전환을 검출을 위하여 컬러 히스토그램과 $\chi$$^2$ 히스토그램을 합성한 방법을 이용하여 키 프레임을 추출하며, 추출된 키 프레임을 대상으로 앵커 프레임의 공간적 구성과 얼굴의 특징 정보에 대한 사전 지식을 바탕으로 한 유사성 측정을 통하여 앵커를 인식하도록 한다. 앵커로 인식된 프레임은 하나의 뉴스 신에 대한 키 프레임이 되며 뉴스 비디오를 색인화 하는데 중요한 역할을 수행한다.

There has been a change in the South Korean policy towards the North which in turn changed the news frame of television broadcasters in South Korea. We did an empirical analysis of how this changed news frame influence the audiences' perception of North Korea and Unification. An experimental design was carried out in order to test the response of the audiences to different news frame. The results show that the respondents' perception towards North Korea were changed when exposed to a specific type of new frame. This confirms the existing knowledge on how news frame influence the perception of TV viewers. This research can serve as background information when making decisions to how the South Korean news media should report North Korea and Unification related news stories.

뉴스 비디오 데이터베이스를 구축하기 위해서는 비디오 색인의 자동화에 관한 연구가 필연적이다. 그리하여, 본 논문에서는 비디오 색인화를 자동화 하는 방법으로, 이전에 제안한 키 프레임(key frame)의 추출 방법을 이용하여 추출된 키 프레임을 대상으로 색인화 하였다. 즉, 추출된 키 프레임 중에서 메타 색인에 해당하는 앵커 프레임(anchor frame)을 선택하는 방법을 제시하고, 선택된 앵커 프레임을 이용하여 뉴스 비디오를 색인화 하였다. 구현된 비디오 색인화는 사용자의 관점에 따라 여러 가지 방법으로 브라우징(browsing)되며, 사용자가 원하는 뉴스 비디오 씬(scene)들을 쉽게 선택하여 볼 수 있는 특징을 제공하였다.

This study is for analyzing the tone, the frame and the characteristics of political news in social media. Social news media is not same as old media in sharing news freely by SNS like tweeter, facebook and reporting, editing by anyone using SNS with various opinions. With Content analysis, sampling 419 cases from 'Wikitree' by the keyword, 'presidential election', all the full text analysed each how is social media making public opinion differently and which frame is using in. As the result, the social media has different tone, frame, and characteristic due to the reported figure, type of report, information source, attitude to the government, specifically shows a lack of in-depth report and distinct soft-journalism just same as old media's. Because the tone of social news media is not probable, specific but improbable, vague, using the irrational, strategic and episodic frame mainly.

디지털 영상 자천가 대중화됨에 따라 방대한 양의 자료를 효과적으로 이용 및 검색하기 하기 위해 영상 데이터의 색인과정이 필수적이다. 뉴스 데이터에서 자막 프레임은 뉴스의 내용을 한 눈에 파악할 수 있는 중요한 정보이다. 따라서 본 논문에서는 뉴스 데이터에서 색인과정을 위해 우선 자막 프레임을 검출하는 기법을 제안하고자 한다. 자막이 있는 프레임을 검출하기 위해 가변길이 프레임 생략법을 이용하여 키프레임을 검출한다. 영상보정을 위한 전처리 작업으로 BC(Brightness & Contrast) 필터기법을 제안하고 자막영역을 대상으로 IT(Invers & Threshold) 기법을 적용하여 자막프레임을 검출하는 방법을 제안한다.

뉴스 데이터를 구조적으로 분할하고 의미적으로 분류하여 내용별로 세분화하여 검색하는 방법을 제안한다. 구조적 분할은 공간 밝기 분포와 명암도의 불연속성 그리고 시간적인 관계 등 프레임간의 상관 정보를 이용하여 장면을 분할한다. 의미적 분류는 키 프레임에서 추출된 특징 정보를 사전 지식 정보와 비교하여 뉴스 비디오의 세부 내용을 기사별로 분류한다. 뉴스의 진행이 앵커 프레임을 중심으로 주기적으로 반복된다는 특징을 이용하여 앵커 장면과 비 앵커 장면으로 기사를 분류한다. 비 앵커 장면은 연설장면, 인터뷰장면, 일반 장면으로 세분화하고 기사별로 분류하여 검색하도록 한다. 또한 뉴스 아이콘에 의한 요약 검색 기능 그리고 자막 통합 처리에 의한 자막 검색을 하여 뉴스 비디오를 내용별로 분류하고 인덱싱하여 신속하게 뉴스 비디오를 검색할 수 있도록 설계한다.

This study examines how television news constructed an issue of social conflict between nationwide and local broadcasting. Especially, this study focused on new ariport of east-south region in Korea. To do this, this study conducted frame analysis on KBS, MBC, SBS main news including national and local ones, broadcasted from 1 January, 2011 to 15 April, 2011. In addition, frame analysis was divided into two aspects, formal and substance. As a result, the findings are as follow: First, in formal aspect both national and local broadcastings are dealing with episode style news frames, while subject style is just 7.5%. Second, in substance aspect, 6 categories are founded: site decision frame, competition and conflict frame, economic frame, rescission and response frame, government countermeasure and alternative frame, etc frame. In conclusion, national and local broadcasting television news have different perspective each other on defining an issues of social conflict like east-south new airport.

This study conducted a frame analysis of the news reports of Chonbuk bus strike broadcasted via local broadcasting companies of the Jeollabuk-do. The results showed that all Chonbuk local televisions gave more emphasis on 'episodic' frame by emphasizing demonstrations and struggles between capital and labor. In the case of content frames, news reports did not present the solution or an alternative of the strike, and the democratic process frame or the institutional improvement frame was not embossed. Therefore, local television news of Chonbuk bus strike was insufficient in reporting causes and backgrounds of the strike. Also, it displayed existing press routine in reporting the issue of social conflict such as a bus strike.

멀티미디어 데이터를 다루는 기술이 급격하게 발전함에 따라 멀티미디어 데이터베이스를 운용함에 있어서 사용자의 효율적인 검색을 지원하기 위한 연구가 활발히 진행되고 있다. 본 논문에서는 MPEG으로로 압축된 뉴스 영상에서 내용기반 검색을 위한 효율적인 텍스트 프레임 추출방법을 제시한다. 제시하는 방법은 문자가 있는 프레임을 탐색하는 데 있어서 압축된 데이터에 최소한의 복호화만을 함으로써 탐색시간을 줄이고, 뉴스 영상에서의 문자의 특성을 고려하여 중복 추출을 줄이고 시간을 단축한다.

비디오 프레임 내의 오버레이 텍스트는 음성과 시각적 내용에 부가적인 정보를 제공한다. 특히, 뉴스 비디오에서 이 텍스트는 비디오 영상 내용을 압축적이고 직접적인 설명을 한다. 그러므로 뉴스 비디오 색인 시스템을 만드는데 있어서 가장 신뢰할 수 있는 실마리이다. 텔레비전 뉴스 프로그램의 색인 시스템을 만들기 위해서는 텍스트를 검출하고 인식하는 것이 중요하다. 이 논문은 뉴스 비디오에서 오버레이 텍스트를 검출하고 인식하는데 도움이 되는 오버레이 텍스트 시작 프레임 식별을 제안한다. 비디오 시퀀스의 모든 프레임이 오버레이 텍스트를 포함하는 것이 아니기 때문에, 모든 프레임에서 오버레이 텍스트의 추출은 불필요하고 시간 낭비다. 그러므로 오버레이 텍스트를 포함하고 있는 프레임에만 초점을 맞춤으로써 오버레이 텍스트 검출의 정확도를 개선할 수 있다. 텍스트 시작 프레임 식별 방법에 대한 비교 실험을 뉴스 비디오에 대해서 실시하고, 적절한 처리 방법을 제안한다.
