  • In a situation where news usage through YouTube is rapidly increasing, this study investigated which attributes of issues news producers prominently report on based on the two-stage agenda setting theory to empirically investigate the influence of various news producers on YouTube. Through the research results, we confirmed that broadcasters have the influence to set the agenda and form public opinion on YouTube, and discovered the possibility of a two-stage agenda setting effect occurring in the YouTube environment. We criticized whether news producers abuse emotional words due to their partisanship when reporting political issues, and discussed that an emotional approach to political issues can have a negative impact on news users' perception of reality.

Function Analysis for SNS and Shopping Mall Integration (SNS와 쇼핑몰 통합을 위한 기능분석)

  • We can build regular relationships with customers by integrating SNS (Social Networking Service) and internet shopping mall functions. For example of direct dealing of agricultural products, consumers can find news of regular sellers (seeding, farming, harvesting and new products) in the timeline at their SNS home. Then, they can purchase the necessary products by one click motion. The sellers provide news and discount information for building regular customers. Besides these SNS personal connection building, our system provides shopping mall functions to consumer's SNS home pages with auto classified catalog of products. Then, consumes easily find necessary products and these purchase may lead to regular relationships with sellers. Consumers may redistribute recommendations and reviews and it enables direct communications between consumers who are unknown to each other.

  • Avian influenza (AI) is notorious for its rapid infection rate, and has a serious impact on consumers and producers alike, especially in poultry farms. The AI outbreak, which occurred nationwide at the end of 2016, devastated the livestock farming industries. As a result, the prices of eggs and egg products had skyrocketed, and the event was reported by the media with heavy emphasis. The purpose of this study was to investigate the correlation between the egg price fluctuation and the keyword changes in online news articles reflecting social issues. To this end, we analyzed 682 cases of AI-related online news articles for fourteen weeks from November 2016 in South Korea. The results of this study are expected to contribute to understanding the relationship between the actual price of eggs and the keywords from news articles related to social issues.

  • We can build regular customer relationships combining SNS (social networking service) with shopping mall like offline trade. A customer who once purchased is registered as reaular and the relationship continues afterward. The registered regular customer get sthe information about objective product shipment and besides it, he contacts with a story of frams, growth of vegetables, sows to harvests. Consumer can purchase with one click necessary foods as he looks at timeline. Sellers give information about news. discounts to customers. Besides it, food storages, recipes can be given to consumers. The good point here is that selling and promoting can be performed within one account. This is better than link is provided for selling an promoting separately. Like this, besides personal connections using SNS, categorization function gives consumers on line shopping mall service. Once the consumer purchase, he is registered as regular. Besides, the consumers who do not know each other, can share information, suggest products, spread the news.

  • Media consumers in the context of the Internet and digital media are using the same content to a variety of platforms. As such, the content of various genres is converted to the form of a new content through the process of fusion, combination, transformation, differentiation, reproduction, etc on the basis of digital media. That is referred to as trans-media. In order to create the successful content in trans-media era, it requires the work of Edi-curation. Edi-curation work is the act of editing and adding meaning to the curation work of curators. In that sense, this paper analyzed the definition and meaning for Edi-curation of publishing and comic(webtoon) content in trans-media era. Edi-curation process induces the changing role of consumers and producers of content in the digital media experience. In process of Edi-curation, consumers(producers) will soon lead to a media producer(consumer), namely proconsumer / produser. Diversification of digital platforms and devices, digital 1 person (or SNS) appeared in the media, etc. are also required to Edi-curation of content and comic(webtoon) published in a variety of ways. Depending on the intention of media producers (or consumers), content through the process of replication, montage, disassembly, dismantling, hypertext, compression, and reconstruction births to new content. The work of Edi-curation has the significance that it affects the way the media producers work in creative process, as well as the reading content of the media consumers. In the publishing content, Edi-curation work is the logicality destruction of a chapter or a paragraph, a sentence of colloquialisms, card news, the deformation of the utilization of video and media content. Meanwhile in the comic(webtoon) content, we mention the destruction of cut(frame), the various modifications of speech bubbles, onomatopoeia, and mimetic word.

A Study on South Korea reporters reporting North Korea issues: Focusing on KBS and MBC (남한 방송의 북한 보도 생산자 연구 - KBS와 MBC 북한 문제 담당기자와의 심층 인터뷰를 중심으로)

  • This study deals with South Korea broadcasting reporters reporting North Korea issues focusing on KBS and MBC. More specifically, this study focuses on what kinds of broadcasting reporting restriction factors are in reporting North Korea issues in Korea. In order to achieve the goal of this study, this study attempted the depth-interview with six broadcasting reporters working on KBS and MBC. As study results, this study found out that Korean broadcasting reporters were sensitively influenced by public opinions concerned about a specific North Korea issue and political situations that a North Korea issue was positioned. In order to overcome such kinds of reporting restrictions in reporting North Korea issues, this study suggests that KBS and MBC needs more professional manpower dealing with North Korea issues and outside help such as civic social associations.

  • 정보생산을 촉진하는 새로운 형태의 사이버공간이 나타나면서 지식의 창출과 지식을 얻는 형태가 변화하고 있다. 최종사용자에게 웹 애플리케이션을 제공하는 컴퓨팅 플랫폼인 web 2.0의 도입으로 손쉽게 자신이 필요한 정보를 분류할 수 있는 웹 컨텐츠가 활발히 제공되고 있으며 제공된 컨텐츠를 활용하여 수많은 정보 속에서 자신만의 보석을 찾아 손쉽게 지식을 쌓아 관리를 하고 있다. 이러한 지식공유서비스는 무분별한 정보, 중복된 지식, 그리고 단순한 관리로 인해 자신이 원하는 지식을 얻기란 쉽지 않은 것이 사실이다. 본 논문에서는 온라인상의 정보를 탐색하기 위해서 인터넷을 이용하던 네티즌들이 정보생산자로서 참여하는 공간으로 등장한 '지식공유서비스'를 기반으로 지식 창출 및 관리자로서 시니어를 활용하여 지식의 수용자로서 유아들을 위한 NIE (News In Education) 활용 교육 체계를 제안한다. 뉴스는 유아부터 성인까지 활용될 수 있는 좋은 교육 자료로서 NIE를 통하여 사고력, 논리력, 표현력, 창의력 등 여러 영역에 걸친 능력을 향상시킬 수 있다. 특히 유치원이나 학교의 교과과정에 맞추어 이러한 능력들을 더욱 배가 시킬 수 있다는 점에서 NIE가 더욱 각광받고 있다. 본 연구는 미디어 융합의 결과로 인터넷 뉴스를 활용해 생활과 분리되지 않은 통합교육을 할 수 있는 SCORM 기반의 유아용 콘텐츠를 생성하여 유아 교육에 활용하고자 한다. 또한, 유아용 NIE 교육 콘텐츠는 시니어들을 NIE 강사로 양성하였을 때 학습 자료로도 활용된다. 시니어들을 NIE 강사로 양성함으로써 시니어의 일자리 창출 및 지역사회 통합과 1세대인 여성시니어와 3세대인 아동 간의 세대통합을 이끌어 낼 수 있도록 하는 것에 목적을 두고 시니어 NIE 콘텐츠를 생성하고자 한다. NIE에 생성되는 지식을 생성하고 관리하기 위한 지식 솔루션으로 위키의 기능을 추가하여 개발하고자 한다. 위키를 사용하므로 개별적으로 존재하던 지식을 공동의 지식으로 공유할 수 있으며 의견을 하나로 통합하는 과정에서도 유용하게 사용될 수 있을 것이다. 위키를 이용한 시니어 NIE 콘텐츠에서는 교수 학습 계획안 및 NIE 아이디어를 공동 작업을 통하여 효율적으로 지식을 생성할 수 있으며 여러 사람들이 여러 단계를 거치면서 하나의 정제된 지식을 생성하게 되므로 양질의 교수 학습 계획안이나 NIE 아이디어를 창출할 수 있을 것이다.

Text Mining Driven Content Analysis of Ebola on News Media and Scientific Publications (텍스트 마이닝을 이용한 매체별 에볼라 주제 분석 - 바이오 분야 연구논문과 뉴스 텍스트 데이터를 이용하여 -)

  • Infectious diseases such as Ebola virus disease become a social issue and draw public attention to be a major topic on news or research. As a result, there have been a lot of studies on infectious diseases using text-mining techniques. However, there is no research on content analysis of two media channels that have distinct characteristics. Accordingly, in this study, we conduct topic analysis between news (representing a social perspective) and academic research paper (representing perspectives of bio-professionals). As text-mining techniques, topic modeling is applied to extract various topics according to the materials, and the word co-occurrence map based on selected bio entities is used to compare the perspectives of the materials specifically. For network analysis, topic map is built by using Gephi. Aforementioned approaches uncovered the difference of topics between two materials and the characteristics of the two materials. In terms of the word co-occurrence map, however, most of entities are shared in both materials. These results indicate that there are differences and commonalties between social and academic materials.
