In-Process Diagnosis of Servovalve Wear using Leakage Flow Measurement (누설 유량 계측에 의한 서보밸브 마멸의 인-프로세스 진단)

  • In-process diagnosis is essential to achieve predictive maintenance in industrial plants. An in- process diagnosis method was proposed for hydraulic servo systems, which was based upon leakage flow measurement. Leakage due to servovalve wear was analysed and modeled mathematically far computer simulation work. The key idea of diagnosis algorithm is that when monitoring signals, such as servovalve input and load displacement are in steady states, the return-line flow of hydraulic servo systems can be regarded as null-leakage of servovalve. Virtual experiments were performed to ensure effectiveness of the proposed diagnosis method.

  • In recent times, surface texturing methods have been widely applied to reduce friction and improve the reliability of machine components such as parallel thrust bearings, mechanical face seals, and piston rings. In this study, a numerical analysis is carried out to investigate the effect of uniformly spaced hemispherical dimples on the lubrication characteristics of a slider bearing using a commercial computational fluid dynamics (CFD) code, FLUENT. The pressure distributions, load capacity, leakage flowrate, and friction force are strongly affected by the dimple diameter and the number of dimples. In particular, the load capacity and friction force decrease linearly with the dimple density whereas the leakage increases. These results can be used for designing the optimum dimple characteristics in order to improve the lubrication performance of slider bearings, for which further studies are required.

  • ECR PECVD(Electron Cyclotron Resonance Plasma Enhanced Chemical Vapor Deposition )장치를 이용하여 (100) 실리콘 기판 위에 실리콘 산화막을 상온에서 증착하였다. 기체 유량비(SiH4/O2)가 막의 성질에 미치는 영향을 고찰하여 최적의 증착 조건을 도출하였다. 기체 유량비가 0.071일 때 비가역 파괴 전장은 9~10MV/cm 이었고, 4~5MV/cmm의 전장하에서 누설 전류는 ~10-11 A/$ extrm{cm}^2$이었다. 이러한 수치들은 액정 표시 소자용 박막 트랜지스터와 같이 저온의 제조공정이 요구되는 소자를 만들기에 충분하다.

  • 본 논문에서는 Door Fan Test 수행 사례를 중심으로 사전 준비에 필요한 사항에 대해 분석하였다. 분석 결과 관통부 주위 개구부, 벽체 틈새 개구부 등 방화구역의 누설부위를 통해 약제가 누출되는 문제가 있었다. 원인으로는 전기배선 공사로 인해 내화충전된 부분을 제거하고 공사 후 다시 충전하지 않는 경우, 벽과 천장사이의 틈을 내화 실란트 등으로 마감을 하지 않은 경우가 대부분이었다. 이와 같이 누설부위가 많은 경우 테스트의 결과 불합격이 나오게 되며, 이러한 문제점을 개선하기 위해 사전현장조사를 통해 방호구역의 누설부위를 조사하고 보완조치를 진행한 후 테스트를 수행하는 절차가 필요하였다. 한편, 테스트 운영에 관한 사항으로는 해당 실(room)을 위한 충분한 유량 미확보, 장애물로 인한 와류형성, 차압측정구의 설치문제 등이 있었다. 이를 개선하기 위해서 공기를 유입하는 실은 외부로부터 충분한 공기유입이 있어야하며, 팬 앞의 장애물을 제거하거나 팬의 설치 위치를 조정하는 것이 필요하며, 공기의 유동이 가장 적은 곳에 측정구를 설치하는 등의 조치가 필요하다.

  • Leakage vortices fonned near the blade tip cause an increase of total pressure loss near the casing endwall region and as a result, the efficiency of rotor decreases. The reduction of rotor efficiency is related to the size of tip clearance. In this study, the three-dimensional flow fields in an axial flow rotor were calculated with varying tip clearance under various flow rates, and the numerical results were compared with experimental ones. The effects of tip clearance and the of attack on the leakage vortex and overall performance, and the los9 distributions were investigated through numerical calculations. In this study, tip leakage flow rate and total pressure loss due to the tip clearance were evaluated using numerical results and approximate equations were presented to evaluate the reduction of rotor efficiency due to the tip leakage flow.

전자싸이클로트론공명플라즈마 화학기상증착법에 의한 PZT 박막의 증착 및 전기적 특성 연구

  • 전자싸이클로트론공명플라즈마 화학기상증착법(ECR-PECVD)에 의한 Pt 및 $RuO_2$ 기판에서의 PZT 박막의 증착특성 및 전기적 특성을 조사하였다. $RuO_2$ 기판에서는 Pt 기판에 비하여 Pb-관련 이차상이 형성되기 쉬웠고, PZT 페로브스카이트 핵생성이 어려웠다. 하지만, $RuO_2$ 기판에서도 금속유기 원료기체의 정확한 유량조절(특히, $Pb(DPM)_2$ 유량)과 Ti-oxide 씨앗층의 도입을 통하여 $450^{\circ}C$의 비교적 낮은 증착온도에서 단일한페로브스카이트 박막 제조가 가능하였으며, $RuO_2$ 기판에서도 미세구조가 향상된 PZT 박막의 경우 $10^{-6}A/cm^2@100kV/cm$의 우수한 누설전류 특성을 나타내었다. 4 가지 전극배열의 PZT 커패시터들 중에서 $RuO_2//RuO_2$ 커패시터는 누설전류밀도가 $10^{-4}A/cm^2@100kV/cm$ 정도로 높았지만, 피로현상은 나타나지 않았다. 일방향 전계 (unipolar) 피로특성에서 나타난 polarization-shift 현상과 양방향 전계 (bipolar) 피로특성의 온도의존성 결과는 PZT 박막내 charged defect의 이동이 어려움을 나타내었다. Bipolar 신호에 의한 피로현상은 인가전계에 의한 분극반전 과정에서 Pt 계면에서 charged defect의 형성과 관련이 있는 것으로 판단되었다. 또한, 상하부 전극물질 이 다른 경우에는 상하부 계면의 charged defect 밀도에 차이가 생겨 내부전계가 형성되는 것으로 판단되었다.

  • The valves used to control or shut off the flow through a pipeline can be divided into many different types, including gate valves, globe valves, and check valves. Globe valves, in particular, have excellent properties, and because they can easily control the flow under high-pressure conditions, they are generally used in LNG ship and steam pipelines. In this paper, a method for changing the shape of a seat was suggested to solve the valve leakage problem from a structural perspective. In addition, the stress distribution and directional deformation were compared for each model. The suggested models were thus validated, and the optimized seat structure, which includes a self-supporting capability for decreasing the amount of leakage, was determined.

  • This study is experimentally analyzed to extract the major parameters affecting the performance of the smoke-control system and the relations of pressure difference between vestibule and supply air pressure zone effect of supply mass flow rate and leakage area in the smoke-control zone. To obtain this, the mock-up building of three-story scale with a total of 10 compartments was constructed, and several apparatus were also installed for in-situ measurement of the ventilation flow rate, pressure difference between compartments, smoke defensive air velocity, the opening-closing force of door, etc. This article show that pressure difference in the smoke-control zone is significantly related with leakage area of vestibule in low pressure region, leakage area of supply air pressure in over pressure region and both of them in pressure control region when the pressure control range of damper is 45 Pa~55 Pa.

로켓엔진용 연료펌프 전산유동해석

  • The performance analysis of a fuel pump for a liquid rocket engine has been performed numerically on its design condition. A commercial three-dimensional Navier-Stokes flow solver has been used for the computation. All of the fuel pump components - inducer, impeller, volute and secondary flow passages - are included in computation for the accurate estimation of the leakage flow rate which affects the performance and axial thrust. A pitchwise-averaged mixing plane method was used on the boundaries among the fuel pump components to save computational time. The predicted overall performance satisfied the design requirement. However, the axial thrust exceeded a permissible limit. In order to reduce the axial thrust, the secondary flow passage design has been changed. With this change, the axial thrust level has been reduced to 30% as compared with the original value.
