Estimation of Attitude Control for Quadruped Walking Robot Using Load Cell (로드셀을 이용한 4족 보행로봇의 자세제어 평가)

  • In this paper, each driving motor for leg joints on a robot is controlled by estimating the direction of the legs measuring each joint angle and attitude angle of robot. We used quadruped working robot named TITAN-VIII in order to carry out this experimental study. 4 load cells are installed under the bottom of 4 legs to measure the pressed force on each leg while it's walking. The walking experiments of the robot were performed in 8 different conditions combined with duty factor, the length of a stride, the trajectory height of the foot and walking period of robot. The validity of attitude control for quadruped walking robot is evaluated by comparing the pressed force on a leg and the power consumption of joint driving motor. As a result, it was confirmed that the slip-condition of which the foot leave the ground late at the beginning of new period of the robot during walking process, which means the attitude control of the robot during walking process wasn't perfect only by measuring joint and attitude angle for estimating the direction of the foot.

  • This paper presents an efficient pre echo control scheme for MPEG Audio coders based on the psychoacoustic model II (PAM-II). Pre echo control is the final step for the calculation of masking threshold in the PAM II. It is to minimize the spread of quantization error over the processing frame. In the conventional encoders, pre echo is reduced by restricting the estimated masking threshold not to exceed the one obtained in the previous frame. The conventional method performs pre echo control not only for short blocks but also for long blocks, which lowers the masking threshold in long blocks and, in turn, increases the quantization noise level of corresponding blocks. This paper proposes an efficient pre echo control process. The test result shows a mean enhancement of more than 0.4 especially for complex signals on the ITU R 5 point audio impairment scale.

  • Nowadays, Dynamic lighting control and management skills are studied and used. If the system which is to manage multiple intelligent spot applied ubiquitous service technology is built with decision making and used in the complex intelligent space like a apartment then will improve energy efficiency and provide comfortability in optimal conditions. To solve this problem distributed autonomous control middleware and energy management system which process data gathering by zigbee mesh network and search proper services to save energy by the existing state of things is necessary. In paper we designed DDLEMS (Distributed Dynamic Lighting Energy Management System) that is to service duplex communication embedded by software based home server platform to provide mobile services in the smart place and support decision making about energy saving to the best use of wireless censor node and controled network, energy display devices.

  • Recently increasing usage of smartphones makes the Internet of Things (IoT) a leading technology that can collect and share data through sensor networks and wireless communication such as low-power Bluetooth (BLE). BLE-based application can provide operators more precise information on Automatic Door system by remotely diagnosing the system faults through wireless sensor networks and sensors around the Automatic Door. In this paper, a smart device with extended BLE module is implemented which can monitor and Control the system states and faults remotely without on-site diagnostic. while maintaining system integrity so that increase efficiency of time and costs for system management. We can use the results of this research as a basis in evaluating reliability of data between devices, extending communication module in Controller of obsolete Door systems, and establishing centralized monitoring systems in near future with multi-channel Door Controls.

Vibration Characteristics Evaluation According to Natural Periods of Structures and Location of a Sky-bridge (구조물의 고유진동주기 및 스카이브릿지 설치위치에 따른 진동특성평가)

  • Recently, studies of vibration control performance improvement of tall buildings connected by a sky-bridge have been conducted. In this study, the effect of difference of natural vibration periods of two buildings and install location of a sky-bridge on vibration control performance has been investigated. To this end, 40-story and 50-story building structures were selected as example structures. Analytical models were developed by varying the natural period difference ratio from 1.0 to 1.5. Artificial earthquake load based on KBC2009 was used as an excitation for time history analyses. Based on numerical simulation results, it has been shown that control performance for displacement and velocity of tall buildings connected by a sky-bridge is improved as the difference of natural periods of two buildings increases and the linked story becomes higher. However, in the case of acceleration response, it shows a counter trend compared to displacement and velocity responses.

플라즈마 처리에 의한 원뿔형 다중벽 탄소나노튜브 다발의 형성기전

  • 플라즈마 처리를 통하여 수직 합성된 다중벽 탄소나노튜브가 원뿔형 다발이 될 수 있으며 원뿔형 탄소나노튜브 다발은 기존의 구조적, 기계적 성질의 향상과 더불어 향상된 전계방출 능력을 가질 것으로 기대되어 이를 X-선원, 전계방출디스플레이(FED), 유기발광다이오드(OLED) 백라이트 등의 전자빔 원으로 적용하기 위한 연구가 진행되고 있다. 원뿔형 탄소나노튜브 다발의 형상 제어를 통하여 전계방출특성을 향상시킬 수 있으며 이를 위해 원뿔형 탄소나노튜브 다발이 생성되는 메커니즘과 조사되는 플라즈마의 역할에 대해서 이해하는 것이 중요하다. 본 연구에서는 플라즈마 생성부와 조사부를 분리한 유도결합형 플라즈마 원을 사용하여 입사되는 이온의 에너지, 조사량, 입자 종을 독립적으로 제어하였고 이를 통하여 원뿔형 탄소나노튜브 다발이 형성되는 메커니즘과 플라즈마의 역할을 밝혀내었다. 알곤 및 수소 플라즈마 처리에서는 원뿔형 탄소나노튜브 다발이 형성되지 않았으나 질소 및 산소 플라즈마 처리에서는 원뿔형 탄소나노튜브 다발이 형성되었다. 특히 산소 플라즈마 처리가 원뿔형 탄소나노튜브 다발 형성에 효과적이었다. 원뿔형 탄소나노튜브 다발의 형성 메커니즘은 탄소나노튜브의 분극과 쉬스 전기장의 상호작용을 이용한 모델을 사용하여 설명하였다. 질소 및 산소 플라즈마 처리에서는 탄소나노튜브 끝단에 생성되는 C-N, C-O 결합에 의해 향상된 유도 쌍극자와 쉬스 전기장에 의해 탄소나노튜브 끝단이 모여 원뿔형 탄소나노튜브 다발이 생성됨을 밝혀내었다. 산소 플라즈마 처리에서 입사되는 이온의 에너지 조절에 의한 쉬스 전기장 조절과 조사량 조절을 독립적으로 수행하여 원뿔형 탄소나노튜브 다발의 직경 및 높이가 쉬스 전기장 및 조사량에 따라 조절 가능함을 보였다. 이로부터 입사되는 이온의 입자 종, 쉬스 전기장 및 조사량 조절 등의 플라즈마 인자 조절을 통하여 원뿔형 탄소나노튜브 다발의 형상 제어가 가능함을 보였다. 탄소나노튜브의 형상 제어와 더불어 세슘 입자 삽입을 통한 탄소나노튜브의 일함수 감소를 통하여 향상된 전계 방출 특성을 갖는 탄소나노튜브 팁의 제조 가능성을 확인하였다.

Prioritized Random Access Control for Fairness Improvement in Wireless-Powered Communication Networks (무선전력 통신 네트워크에서 공평성 향상을 위한 우선순위 기반 랜덤 접속 제어)

  • As Internet of things with a large number of nodes emerges, wireless-power communication networks (WPCN) based on a random access protocol needs to be investigated. In the random access-based WPCN, a terminal accessing later in given random access (RA) slots can harvest more energy before transmission and thus can transmit data with higher power and achieve higher throughput if the access is successful. On the basis of this property, the proposed random access control protocol gives the terminals priority and distinguishes the RA slots according to the priority level, so that a near terminal with access point allows to access preferentially other than a remote terminal. This operation decreases the throughput of near terminal and increases the throughput of remote terminal, and then, the doubly near-far problem in WPCN is resolved and the user fairness is improved. Results show that the proposed random access control improves both channel throughput and user fairness according to the priority level.

Assessment of the Counter-Flow Thrust Vector Control in a Three-Dimensional Rectangular Nozzle (3차원 직사각형 노즐에서 역유동 추력벡터 제어 평가)

  • Computational assessment of gas-dynamic characteristics is explored for a three-dimensional counter-flow thrust vector control system in a rectangular supersonic nozzle. This convergent-divergent nozzle is designed by Method of Characteristics and its design Mach number is specially set as 2.5. Performance variations of the counter-flow vector system are illustrated by varying the gap height of the secondary flow duct. Key parameters are quantitatively analyzed, such as static pressure distribution along the centerline of the upper suction collar, deflection angle, secondary mass flow ratio, and resultant thrust coefficient. Additionally, the streamline on the symmetry plane, three-dimensional iso-Mach number surface contour, and three-dimensional turbulent kinetic energy contour are presented to reveal overall flow-field characteristics in detail.

  • 하천은 자연의 현상 또는 인위적인 작용에 대해 끊임없는 반응과 응답의 과정을 통하여 복잡한 형태의 안정화를 이루고 있다. 하지만 인간은 경제적인 논리와 편의성 측면등의 이유로 하천에 대해 인위적인 간섭이 지속적으로 이루어져 왔다. 이는 하천이 본래 가지고 있던 자연적인 하도 특성의 급격한 변화를 초래하였다. 이러한 영향으로 인한 많은 변화들 중, 하도 내 수역이 식생으로 천이가 진행되면서 최종적으로 육지화되는 육역화 현상은 수리학적 문제 및 환경생태적 측면에서 큰 문제를 발생시킬 수 있다. 따라서 본 연구에서는 하도육역화를 제어하기 위해 하도 내 친환경적인 육역화 관리기법을 개발하고 이에 대한 적용성을 수리모형실험을 통해 제시하고자 한다. 이를 위해 본 연구에서 제시한 친환경적인 육역화 관리기법은 자연적인 배수효과를 이용 하였다. 이러한 친환경적인 육역화관리기법은 인공하도가 가지고 있는 하도와 고수부지의 수문학적 및 생태학적인 단절을 해소하였으며, 이를 물골 공법이라 명명하였다. 본 수리모형실험은 물골의 형상을 제시하기 위하여 하폭에 따라 물골크기를 무차원화 하였다. 또한 유사 제어 검증을 수행하기 위한 실험은 물골의 폭, 높이, 주기 및 가속수로 폭을 실험변수로 고려하였다. 물골 모형의 기본적인 흐름특성 분석을 위해 유속 및 수위를 측정한 결과 유속 및 수심은 하류를 따라 증가하는 경향을 보였다. 또한 유사 제어 효과 검증을 위해 소류력 및 마찰속도를 산정하여 도시하였으며, 이는 세굴 및 퇴적의 현상이 물골 주기에 따라 반복적으로 나타났다. 이러한 결과는 수위하강시 물골의 형상에 따라 흐름이 원활하게 배제되어 고수부지에 유사퇴적 방지 효과가 있을 것으로 판단되며, 물골공법이 친환적인 육역화 관리기법으로 활용가능성이 있는 것으로 기대된다. 향후 보다 상세한 수리모형실험이 수행된다면, 물골 공법 설계 및 현장적용을 위한 기초자료를 확보 할 수 있을 것이다.

Development of signal linkage simulator for verification of Ships energy management system algorithm (선박용 에너지 관리 시스템 알고리즘 검증을 위한 신호 연동 시뮬레이터 개발)

  • As interest in environmental pollution caused by ship emissions is increasing worldwide, many studies are being conducted on the development of systems that increase energy efficiency to reduce ship emissions. In order to test the energy management system controller driven in real time on a large ship, it is necessary to perform the test through the simulator. In this study, addresses were set for each signal according to Modbus TCP/IP so that each control system and energy management system could be linked, and the algorithm was configured according to the signal flow. In addition, the signal generator was designed and manufactured so that each controller could artificially generate the signal collected from the vessel. As a result of the simulator production and interlocking, it was confirmed that each controller operated in real time performed its role appropriately, and that the algorithm of the ship energy management system was properly applied.
