This study is to clarify the actual conditions of the floor plan of middle and high schools in the rural area. Recently, many middle school and high school are remodeling the buildings and facilities based on the departmentalized classroom system. This study, through analyzing on 4 remodeling cases of middle and high schools in gyeongnam. This article discuses about the basic characteristics of the plan composition and the education programs of 4 schools. This study is showing the variation before and after remodeling and space organization types. The results of this study are summarized as follows; Home-room and home-base should be more faithfully. Various common space is needed to comfortable school life of students. In case of side corridor type plan, moving path is much needed. Sample schools took much more spaces of home base than before. This article discusses about the basic characteristics of the floor plan and the actual condition of the school facilities.

This study aims to obtain new design factors in terms of constructing rural apartment houses fit for the actual farm life. To carry out this study, field studies and personal interviews have been made on the living mode and using realities in the unit spaces of the rural apartment houses. The houses surveyed are the rural apartments in Chungbuk Province which were built by the public program to improve old farm houses. The results are as follows. The living modes .in the unit spaces of the rural apartments are very similar to those of the urban apartment houses. But compared with the urban indoor-living modes, the rural life is keeping more of the traditional sitting way-of-living. Accordingly, it is quite necessary to consider the nature of farm life and the sitting way-of-living in designing the rural apartment houses.

The purpose of this study is to plan the social space for utilization in rural protestant church. Sindai church is the oldest and has rural characteristics in Chung-Ju. This model is used with the data which were obtained by the paster, believer, inhabitants. The results of this study are as follows ; The movable furnitures have merits of multi-use space in the rural protestant church. This could be possible the various functions for a flexible worship space.

The purpose of this research is planning the master plan of a rural village for rural-tourism type. The rural village area is faced on the moment of the change. A rural village only have not the thing, that the facility of the food manufacture. A rural village inhabitants need an environment improvement and income enlargement. And for the citizens need a space facility of a leisure, practical use, rest and experience in rural area. The government executed a project for this purpose. So, Sinchon village, San-chung were selected to an object village in Gyeong-nam. This investigation analyzed this village's planning elements, and established basic directions of village master plan.

The project to improve the structure of village has been conducted in order to improve the residential environment since 1960's. Also, with the rural exodus and the aged population in a rural area during the rapid change of social structure in our country, the old people's problem in a rural area became a problem beyond the welfare of the old age. Moreover, as the role of old people who established their position as the subject of social & economic activities in a rural area gradually increases, an attention to problems related on old people also increases. Especially, the leisure life of old people can be an important factor on the type of leisure life of old people in a cultural village and the demands for facilities for old people by studying the present situation of facilities for old people and the actual situation of their use in a welfare center.

This study is for figuring out the relationship between the transition of the religious outlook and the design of worship space in Korean churches after the year of 2000. Analyzing the design samples of worship spaces which are appeared in architectural and interior design publications, it is found out that the modernity in architectural and interior design is presented in many worship spaces. And the progressive effort for the renewal of the worship service is projected to composition of the pulpit and others. But the conservatism of the Korean church has not been eliminated yet. These phenomena are considered to be same in the most cases of rural community church.

67.82% of domestic hot springs are in rural areas. (Ministry of Public Administration and Security statistics, 2010) Most of hot spring's facilities are aging and inability to accommodate the current changes of leisure patterns. So, a decrease of the number of visitor to the hot spring resulted in economic decline of rural areas. Hot spring has been studied, but Architecture of Hot Springs has never been interested in and research. Therefore, Nation architecture of Hot spring and foreign architecture was compared and analyzed. Then, Architectural characteristics of Hot spring in rural areas was identify. The architecture of Hot spring type of foreign and images are routinely burned, the organic form and old-fashioned adrift. However, our country found in Hot spring architecturally and daily life had any features. Thus, the country's hot springs spa area for construction of the architecture design should be characterized. And, through institutional guidelines and deliberations should be provided in the right direction.

This study is aimed at grasping how the farmhouses in Yongdong area continues to be transfigured according to the modernization and urbanization since 8.15 Liberation through the analysis of natural environment and sociocultural environment elements. The farmhouses in Yongdong area before 1960's have had a different spatial structure from those of the other areas because of the characteristics of the climatic, regional, geographic and sociocultural environment elements. The roof improvement promoting law after 1967, the Saemaul Movement since 1971 and the standard drawing of farmhouse after 1972 are transfigured the rural villages, but they were turned up the limitations of their exploits because of the lack of cognition about environment elements. Recently there were appeared the farmhouses which were reflected farmer's decisions in construction after 1980's because former farmhouses were not give consideration to environment elements.

This study deals with the analysis of how the residential space of the farmhouses which were recently built by farmer's free intent with the help of a person who is related with architecture was changed. So that this study is aimed at grasping how the spatial structure of recent farmhouses in the southern part of Yongdong area continues to be kept and changed according to the modernization and urbanization. Also it includes grasping the trend of spatial transformation and constancy about the recent farmhouses through the analysis of living elements as well as the extension, renewal and rehabilitation of residential space.

This paper is a study of rural settlement and housing planning in Jeongsun-Gun Kangwon Province. The method of survey to look in spot and interview, the present condition, and of the rural settlement of among the mountains. This study lays emphasis on three ri of dongmyeon Jeongson-Gun, Kangwondo retaining their present form relaytively through sample survey. Site plan of rural settlement of investigation subject involve the rural settlement in which is to search the arrangement, plan and spacial characteristic of rural settlement of among the mountains.
