The purpose of the study is to evaluate the Rural Settlement Development(RSD) driven by government in historical view, and its effects on the facilities and houses of rural village in the country. Through the study, we have come to the results that the major concerns of the RSD projects since 1950s has been transferred to as following. First, the reformation of inter-facility; dressing room, kitchen, bath-house, etc of rural houses, from that of outer facility; roof, fence and etc. Secondly, the substantial objects of the projects of village settlement improvement have been changed from partial reformation of individual houses, public facilities, etc early, to comprehensive reformation by master plan for village settlement recently. Lastly, those have been established that the process of planning village settlement available to carry out landuse division and the various program for village improvement, based on its inherent circumstances.

Due to population decline and aging, many rural towns have become increasingly declining, and the government has been carrying out the rural town regeneration project to activate central area with the concept of compact city. The purpose of this study is to analyze the strategies and plans promoted in the rural town regeneration projects for the six towns in Chungcheongbuk-do and to identify their characteristics. The main subjects of the study are hardware plans such as the public facility plans and streetscape plans, which were carried out by local governments to revitalize the centre. In particular, the contents of each detailed plan, the location of each facility, detailed budget, and relationship between public facilities and commercial street in the six cases were analyzed by distribution map, relationship map and data comparison. Through this, the characteristics of the new application methods of each project to strengthen the central area were analyzed and classified into five types. The results of the study are to provide useful basic research to determine the direction of the project and select the contents of the plan in the rural town regeneration projects.

The purpose of this paper is to seek the dwelling conditions for comfortable life like urban apartment with agriculture in farming area. In order to do above things, we divide types of people who is planning to 'return farm' and need to heavily research and analyze current status of use for farm house's each spaces include outside spaces. so this paper aimed that at first, divide types of farmhouse following agriculture condition for people who is living in rural and survey the present condition and problems by analyzing of present status of space use and draw the improvement plans for those. after then, finally make a architectural basic data for Rural houses plan. For the future, the main purpose of this paper is that make architectural provision possible by researching types and size of storage following sort and size of farm.

The Korean folk house, especially in rural area, has created the comfortable indoor environment with passive control of outdoor climate as environmental architecture. This study aims to identify the peculiar elements of sustainable architecture in folk houses in rural areas of Cheju Island and Ullŭng Island through the field experiments. The elements of environmental control of folk houses in both islands could be developed as the design elements of modern rural architecture. This effort can play major role to find the green design principles and techniques of environmental control of the building which have been neglected in the design of modern architecture.

This paper deals with vibration of plates with concentrated mass on elastic foundation. The object of investigating natural frequencies of tapered thick plate on pasternak foundation by means of finite element method and providing kinetic design data for mat of building structures. Free vibration analysis that tapered thick plate in this paper. Finite element analysis of rectangular plate is done by use of rectangular finite element with 8-nodes. In order to analysis plate which is supported on pasternak foundation. The Winkler parameter is varied with 10, $10^2$, $10^3$ and the shear foundation parameter is 5, 10. This paper is analyzed varying thickness by taper ratio. The taper ratio is applied as 0.0, 0.25, 0.5, 0.75, 1.0. And the Concentrated Mass is applied as P1, Pc, P2 respectively.

This study is about characteristic of rural areas development project considering Rural Areas Migration. As a Rural Economy is getting worse for a rapid decrease in population and a rapid aging of the population, Decline in Rural areas has become more serious. So, Each local government is promoting rural areas development project, like Culture Village Project, Rural Village Project, Happiness Village Project, and Farming and Fishing New-town Project, to attract inhabitants in the Urban Area. This study examines the change of policy about rural areas development project in Corea through theoretical study, and analyzes the Implementation of rural village Project supported or implemented by local community to characterize the project.
