Comparing Objective and Subjective Retirement Wealth Adequacies (객관적 은퇴자금준비도와 주관적 은퇴자금준비도 비교)

  • The purpose of the study is to estimate objective retirement wealth adequacy and subjective retirement wealth, and to compare two of them. Also the factors relating to those wealth readiness were investigated. The data used was 422 pre-retiree who were married and under 65 years old and SPSS 20 was used for the analyses. The results showed that objective reirement wealth readiness was 37.6% and subjective retirement wealth adequacy was 40.9%. Almost half of the sample (44.8%) were indicated to have no objective retirement wealth, but only 5.9% was answered to have no retirement wealth. Both subjective and objective retirement wealth adequacies tended to increase with older age, higher income and lower average propensity to consume groups. The difference between objective and subjective retirement wealth adequacies was smaller with getting older. According to multi-variable analyses, two factors were found to affect on both the subjective and objective retirement wealth adequacies, which were income and retirement asset. The respondents were found to be not able to estimate their own retirement wealth adequacy objectively. The correlation between the subjective and objective retirement wealth adequacies was 0.344. Among the respondents, 74.4% answered bigger number on subjective retirement wealth than their objective retirement wealth.

  • This study examined the QM(Quartier Management) Program of Germany for the Regeneration of Deteriorated Residential Blocks in Berlin. This study used basic data research for the 'Neighborhood Management Program' in South Korea. Therefore, German local documents, organization web sites, internal reports were analyzed to understand the status of the Germany's urban regeneration policies and present the conditions. This study was conducted by local interviews, e-mail exchanges and telephone interviews. The following were investigated and analyzed: 1) the present conditions of the urban regeneration policies and regional regeneration in Germany; 2) the characteristics of the QM program (Program's strategy, funding and utilization plans, program's applicable areas, Indicators for regional selection); and 3) examine two cases of the QM Program in Berlin.

  • 중부권의 대표적인 대학중 하나인 충남대학교에 대규모로 GHP가 도입됐다. ESCO사업으로 진행된 이번 사업은 실외기 84대, 실내기 848대가 설치되었으며 약 60억원에 달하는 대규모 자금이 소요됐다. 에너지절약전문기업인 ㈜에너지솔루션즈에 의해 시공된 충남대 ESCO사업은 연간 7억6천만원의 에너지비용과 941toe의 에너지를 절감할 것으로 보여 6.9년 안에 투자비를 회수할 수 있을 것으로 보인다. 이에 따라 노후냉난방시설을 보유하고 있는 전국의 대학에서 GHP의 특장점이 부각돼 보급이 확대되는 전기가 마련될 것으로 전망되고 있다.

The necessity of developing various convergence financial services in preparation for the aging (고령화에 대비한 다양한 융복합 금융 서비스 개발의 필요성)

  • The aging process in this country is underway at the fastest pace compared to those of the leading countries. On the other hand, preparing for retirement funds is more difficult than before due to the impact of slow interest rate and slow growth. The purpose of this study is to examine the necessity of providing various financial services in preparation for the future aging era. After analizing the various materials and utilizing a survey of the bank employees and the general public, we have found the followings. The replacement rate of this country, 55%, is much lower than the suggested level of World Bank, 75%. Also, the pension ratio in the income after retirement of this country is much lower compared to those of the States and Japan. The most people who participated in the survey needed ₩2,000 - ₩2,990 thousand for monthly living expenses after retirement. For the retirement funds, the higher the age the higher proportion of savings deposits they want, and the lower the age the higher proportion of insurance and pension products they want. Based on these analyses, the necessities of developing financial life planning which includes both financial and non-financial sides, retirement funds management according to age, revitalization of housing pension and developing diverse retirement funds are suggested.

  • This study aims to examine whether assets matter for depression among older adults and whether the relationship between assets and depression is mediated by social activities. The research questions are based on asset effect theory, stakeholder theory, and activity theory. This study used the 5th wave of KLoSA data which is a nationally representative data in Korea. Research findings are summarized as follows: First, we found the negative relationship between assets and depression of older adults. Second, The relationship between assets and depression was partially mediated by social activities of older adults. The findings suggest that older adults with assets are more likely to participate in social activities and accordingly their depression is likely to decline. Based on the empirical findings, we can propose that asset-building programs targeting older adults should be developed and that the financial education and saving chances should be given to middle-aged adults who need to prepare old age in the long-term perspective.

  • One of the most important indicators for measuring service level and productivity of the port may be a demurrage rate. Currently, in the case of grain terminal of Busan North Port, demurrage rate are recognized at a very high level, in order to improve this, it is tilted more effort operational. In order to reduce the demurrage, there is a way expansion of facility of hardware, such as the replacement of aging equipment, and how manipulative assignment rules of the apparatus of the operation on the software side, such as changing the order of facility allocation. If the financial reasons are out of question, it is possible to expand to reduce the demurrage rate by operational way. Therefore this paper deals with how to operate some of the allocation rules and silo allocation rules of equipment to reduce the work hours with model and how to operate basic equipment and grain terminal of Busan North Port want to be seen by comparative analysis.
