This research analyzed the relative efficiency of 27 local governments' aged welfare institutions and facilities in Gyeonggi-do Province by using Data Envelopment Analysis. The results show that 12 local governments' aged welfare institutions are relatively inefficient as compare to their reference groups, meaning that there is efficiency gap among localities. It also appears that the most influential input and output elements are the budget for the aged and the number of the aged welfare institutions and facilities, relatively. However, the influential elements differ from one locality to another.

최근 우리나라는 고령화시대로 접어들면서 노인들의 사회적 적응 향상을 위한 노력이 커지고 있다. 본 연구에서는 노인들의 수단적 일상생활활동, 특히 금융활동을 원활하게 수행할 수 있도록 하기 위하여 노인에게 적합한 ATM 인터페이스를 새롭게 디자인하고자 한다. 이를 위해 은행에서 제공되는 실제 ATM 화면과 동일한 디자인 구성과 기능을 하는 태블릿 PC 기반 콘텐츠를 개발하고, 이를 통해 노인들을 대상으로 사용성 평가를 실시한다. 이러한 결과를 바탕으로 노인에게 적합한 ATM UI를 제시하고자 한다.

노인장기 요양보험제도가 시행된 지 2년이 흘렀다. 그동안 가족이 책임졌던 노인에 대한 장기요양을 국가와 사회가 부담함으로써 만성질환 및 노인성 질환으로 어려움을 겪는 노인과 가족들의 부담이 줄어들었다. 하지만 적지 않은 문제점도 드러나고 있다. 외국의 사례를 통해 우리나라 노인장기 요양보험제도의 현재와 미래를 그려보고자 한다.

As the population is getting older, medical expenses amount of the whole is keep increasing. So, the pressure of the finances, Health Insurance, Medical Care Assistance Act and etc, is getting higher. The share of healthcare-expense is increasing due to elderly illness. And it became a social problem; we analysed present state of senior healthcare in South Korea-looked into current laws and policies, and found problems. We tried to suggest improvements that drew from the current state of foreign country senior healthcare of those problems. For the result, we found the problem in relevant-law system of senior healthcare guarantee. In this study, we proposed the ways to qualitatively upgrade of medical standard that considered on elderly' features: the strengthened guarantee for healthcare, financial secure for long-term convalescence benefit, linking and functional reinforcement for elderly welfare and long-term convalescence insurance, the solution for overlapped laws about convalescence in long-term convalescence insurance and elderly welfare, a betterment of grading, and a home service consolidation. We need to secure right amount of emergency medical service budget, and effective management system for the improved level of senior severely emergency medical service. Furthermore, we suggested that South Korea needs to legislate [The Law for Senior Medical Secure] to respond to rapidly increasing senior healthcare fee.

This study was conducted to: (a) explore correlations between aging knowledge, sexual perception and sexual attitude of aged people among adults, and (b) provide a database to develop an educational program to instill the right perception and sexual attitude of aged people in our society. The subjects were 340 adults aged 20-59 years living in K do, B and U city. The data were collected from June 9, 2015 to August 23, 2015 and analyzed based on the means, percentages, t-tests, ANOVA and Pearson's correlation coefficient using IBM SPSS 21.0. The subjects' score of aging knowledge was 12.12, sexual perception of aged people was 2.99, sexual attitude of aged people was 4.04. There were significant correlations between aging knowledge and sexual perception of aged people (r=0.227, p<0.001), aging knowledge and sexual attitude of aged people (r=0.369, p<0.001), sexual perception of aged people and sexual attitude of aged people (r=0.299, p<0.001). Therefore, it is necessary to provide systematic education about aging knowledge and sex of aged people by to change the perception and attitude of the elderly in our society.

제주특별자치도 서귀포시 하원동 탐라대학교 내에 위치한 서귀포천문과학문화관은 예로부터 오직 한라산에 올라서야 볼 수 있었다는 노인성(용골자리 으뜸별 카노푸스 Canopus)을 볼 수 있는 국내 유일의 시민천문대이다. 아름다운 서귀포시 앞 바다를 한 눈에 바라볼 수 있는 서귀포천문과학문화관은 제주특별자치도 최초의 천문우주관련 과학관으로 지난 2006년 6월 15일에 개관하였다.

최근 우리나라는 노인인구가 급격히 증가되고 있고, 주요사망원인이 만성퇴행성 질환으로 이동하고 있다. 노화는 산화-환원의 균형이 깨져 산화 촉진쪽으로 반응이 진행되어 일어나며, 이러한 산화적 스트레스의 증가는 당뇨병이나 고혈압과 같은 만성질환의 유병율을 높이고, 또한 면역기능에도 영향을 미친다. 그러므로, 노화 억제 및 만성질환의 예방을 위한 항산화 영양소의 건강증진 효과에 대한 연구가 매우 중요하다. 따라서 본 연구는 우리나라 노인들의 항산화 영양상태를 평가하고, 만성질환 중 유병율이 높은 당뇨병, 고혈압에 따른 항산화 영양상태와의 관련성 및 노인들에게서 감소하는 것으로 알려진 면역기능과의 관련성을 조사하기 위해 3차에 걸친 연구를 수행하였다.(중략)

최근 스마트 홈이 관심받기 시작하면서 월패드의 중요성이 강조되는 반면에 급속한 고령화로 정보통신 기기의 사용성이 취약한 독거노인이 증가하고 있다. 본 연구에서는 독거노인에게 필요한 주거 형태 조사 및 분석을 통해 독거노인을 위한 공동주택의 사례 중 콜렉티브 하우징 형태를 중심으로 사용성 향상, 소통의 증가, 안전 문제 측면에서 홈 네트워크 월패드의 필요성을 제시한다.

전지구적인 고령화시대를 살아가는 인류에게 행복한 노년기 삶의 질에 관한 유용한 방안은 매우 중요한 과제가 되고 있다. 특히, 고령노인의 건강은 삶의 최우선 순위가 될 뿐만 아니라, 가족과 사회 그리고 국가의 다양한 정책과 제도적 시스템을 조절하는 요인으로서 작용한다. 또한 공적 시스템과 비공식적 지원체계는 노년후기 가족의 삶의 질에 큰 영향력을 가질 뿐만 아니라, 노인에 대한 가족 지원을 조절하기 때문에 전방위적으로 구축되어야 한다. 본 연구는 노인의 일상적 건강성을 향상시키고, 노인에 대한 가족지원체계를 보완하며, 성공적이고 행복한 삶의 질에 대하여 파악하고자 한다. 노인의 삶의 질 향상은 노년기 삶의 긍정적 마무리 및 행복감과 관련성이 높다. 따라서, 노년기 공식적 비공식적 지원체계의 다양한 지원과 동시에 가족 지지의 대처자원을 발굴하고, 보완가능한 대체가족 지원시스템을 개발, 강화시켜 독거노인과 돌봄노인의 케어시스템을 다차원적으로 확충해 나가야 할 것이다.

The intergenerational support exchange depends on elder's objective conditions and social context, and its effects are diverse. I argue that not only capacity such as health condition and economic status but also relational properties among parent(s) and adult children are important to determine their reciprocal support exchange. Seoul area is selected, and 730 elders are interviewed to be analyzed quantitatively. The survey data are collected based on the structured questionnaire. Findings are partly supportive to the arguments presented above. The relational properties, especially coresidence, the number of adult children, and contact frequency independently influence reciprocal support. The better health conditions of parent(s) are, the more support to adult children is given. The economic status is related to financial support exchange only. The types of intergenerational support exchange include dependant, balanced, and generalized reciprocity. The most important determinant of the reciprocity is the elders' health condition.
