The advent of digital media has facilitated easy access for adolescents to environments conducive to the purchase of narcotics. In particular, there's an increasing trend in the purchase and consumption of narcotics mediated through Social Network Services (SNS) and messenger services. Adolescents, sensitive to such environments, are at risk of experiencing neurological and mental health issues due to narcotic addiction, increasing their exposure to criminal activities, hence necessitating national-level management and support. Consequently, the quest for sustainable treatment methods for adolescents exposed to narcotics emerges as a critical challenge. In the context of high relapse rates in narcotic addiction, the necessity for cost-effective and user-friendly treatment programs is emphasized. This study conducts a literature review aimed at utilizing digital platforms to create an environment where adolescents can voluntarily participate, focusing on the development of therapeutic content through art. Specifically, it reviews societal perceptions and treatment statuses of adolescent drug addiction, analyzes the impact of narcotic addiction on adolescent brain activity and cognitive function degradation, and explores approaches for developing digital therapeutics to promote the rehabilitation of the addicted brain through analysis of precedential case studies. Moreover, the study investigates the benefits that the integration of digital therapeutic approaches and art therapy can provide in the treatment process and proposes the possibility of enhancing therapeutic effects through various treatment programs such as drama therapy, music therapy, and art therapy. The application of art therapy methods is anticipated to offer positive effects in terms of tool expansion, diversification of expression, data acquisition, and motivation. Through such approaches, an enhancement in the effectiveness of treatments for adolescent narcotic addiction is anticipated. Overall, this study undertakes foundational research for the development of digital therapeutics and related applications, offering economically viable and sustainable treatment options in consideration of the societal context of adolescent narcotic addiction.
Considerable research efforts are being directed towards analyzing unstructured data such as text files and log files using commercial and noncommercial analytical tools. In particular, researchers are trying to extract meaningful knowledge through text mining in not only business but also many other areas such as politics, economics, and cultural studies. For instance, several studies have examined national pending issues by analyzing large volumes of text on various social issues. However, it is difficult to provide successful information services that can identify R&D documents on specific national pending issues. While users may specify certain keywords relating to national pending issues, they usually fail to retrieve appropriate R&D information primarily due to discrepancies between these terms and the corresponding terms actually used in the R&D documents. Thus, we need an intermediate logic to overcome these discrepancies, also to identify and package appropriate R&D information on specific national pending issues. To address this requirement, three methodologies are proposed in this study-a hybrid methodology for extracting and integrating keywords pertaining to national pending issues, a methodology for packaging R&D information that corresponds to national pending issues, and a methodology for constructing an associative issue network based on relevant R&D information. Data analysis techniques such as text mining, social network analysis, and association rules mining are utilized for establishing these methodologies. As the experiment result, the keyword enhancement rate by the proposed integration methodology reveals to be about 42.8%. For the second objective, three key analyses were conducted and a number of association rules between national pending issue keywords and R&D keywords were derived. The experiment regarding to the third objective, which is issue clustering based on R&D keywords is still in progress and expected to give tangible results in the future.

Next generation mobile communication system will have various access networks and provide seamless multimedia data service to mobile nodes. The WiNGS system, one of these access network, has superior RAT(Radio Access Technology) and network connectivity other than previous ones. In this paper, we propose link-layer SR-ARQ between mobile node and WAGW to solve packet re-ordering problem during handover. In the proposed scheme, we apply the adaptive timer at the SR-ARQ sender to reduce unnecessary packet retransmission during handoff and delayed NAK algorithm at the SR-ARQ receiver for delaying NAK response due to temporary out-of-sequenced frames. We evaluate the performance of the proposed scheme by implementing the new SR-ARQ protocol at the link-layer using ns-2 simulator, and show the handover performance is improved greatly by preventing unnecessary retransmission.

This is to provide car manager with many information of car sensors when we go to vehicle maintenance. For example, information of engine RPM, fuel system, intake air temperature, air flow sensors and oxygen sensors can provide to owner or garage, and also add to multimedia system for mp3 files and video files. This system consists of embedded linux system of low power while driving the car which uses OBD-II protocols and zigbee communication interface from CAN communication of car system to self-diagnosis embedded system of car. Finally, low power embedded system has a lot of application and OBD-II protocols for embedded linux system and CAN communication which get sensor informations of car control sensor system while driving the car.
The development of display devices and the increase of network transmission bandwidth bring demands for over 2K high resolution video such as panorama video, 4K ultra-high definition commercial broadcasting, and ultra-wide viewing video. To compress these image sequences with significant amount of data, High Efficiency Video Coding (HEVC) standard with the highest coding efficiency is a promising solution. HEVC, the latest video coding standard, provides high encoding efficiency using various advanced encoding tools, but it also requires significant amounts of computation complexity compared to previous coding standards. In particular, the complexity of HEVC decoding process is a imposing challenges on real-time playback of ultra-high resolution video. To accelerate the HEVC decoding process for ultra high resolution video, this paper introduces a data-level parallel video decoding method using slice and/or tile supported by HEVC. Moreover, deblocking filter process is further parallelized. The proposed method distributes independent decoding operations of each tile and/or each slice to multiple threads as well as deblocking filter operations. The experimental results show that the proposed method facilitates executions up to 2.0 times faster than the HEVC reference software for 4K videos.
In this paper, we propose a novel video quality degradation monitoring scheme titled VR-VQMS(Visual Rhythm based Video Quality Monitoring Scheme) over an IPTV service prone to packet losses during network transmission. Proposed scheme quantifies the amount of quality degradation due to packet losses, and can be classified into a RR(reduced-reference) based quality measurement scheme exploiting visual rhythm data of H.264-encoded video frames at a media server and reconstructed ones at an Set-top Box as feature information. Two scenarios, On-line and Off-line VR-VQMS, are proposed as the practical solutions. We define the NPSNR(Networked Peak-to-peak Signal-to-Noise Ratio) modified by the well-known PSNR as a new objective quality metric, and several additional objective and subjective metrics based on it to obtain the statistics on timing, duration, occurrence, and amount of quality degradation. Simulation results show that the proposed method closely approximates the results from 2D video frames and gives good estimation of subjective quality(i.e.,MOS(mean opinion score)) performed by 10 test observers. We expect that the proposed scheme can play a role as a practical solution to monitor the video quality experienced by individual customers in a commercial IPTV service, and be implemented as a small and light agent program running on a resource-limited set-top box.
Free-viewpoint video service is a technology that allows users to watch at any angle, location and distance through interaction. In this paper, the free-viewpoint video services are defined in four viewing modes: Inward view, outward view, 3D object view and first person view. And we developed and implemented a new integrated program that plays all the suggested views. In the contents of girl band performances and basketball games, multi-view cameras suitable for each viewing mode are installed to acquire media, and data stored on the server is streamed over the network, making it available for viewing. Users can freely choose four viewing modes, space location, angle and so on, and the media data such as images and sounds are provided to them by rendering appropriately for the selected the viewpoint. Our system is expected to be a scalable free-viewpoint video service player as well as provide users with immersion and presence by combining various viewing modes.

The study aims at offering a solution to the problems of transmission delay and data throughput decrease as the number of contending On-Board Units (OBU) increases by applying CSMA medium access control protocol based upon IEEE 802.11p. In a competition-based medium, contention probability becomes high as OBU increases. In order to improve the performance of this medium access layer, the author proposes EDCA which a adaptive adjustment of the Contention Windows (CW) considering traffic density and data type. EDCA applies fixed values of Minimum Contention Window (CWmin) and Maximum Contention Window (CWmax) for each of four kinds of Access Categories (AC) for channel-specific service differentiation. EDCA does not guarantee the channel-specific features and network state whereas it guarantees inter-AC differentiation by classifying into traffic features. Thus it is not possible to actively respond to a contention caused by network congestion occurring in a short moment in channel. As a solution, CWminAS(CWmin Adaptation Scheme) and ACATICT(Adaptive Contention window Adjustment Technique based on Individual Class Traffic) are proposed as active CW control techniques. In previous researches, the contention probabilities for each value of AC were not examined or a single channel based AC value was considered. And the channel-specific demands of IEEE 802.11p and the corresponding contention probabilities were not reflected in the studies. The study considers the collision number of a previous service section and the current network congestion proposes a dynamic control technique ACCW(Adaptive Control of Contention windows in considering the WAVE situation) for CW of the next channel.
In this paper, we propose a handoff-aware DiffServ scheduler which intends to guarantee various QoS requirements of multimedia services for mobile nodes in TDD/CDMA based wireless networks. TDD is widely used duplexing mechanism in wireless communications. Unlike FDD, TDD allows a node to symmetrically communicate with a base station by using a single frequency band, resulting in high utilization of wireless resources. DiffServ is regarded as a relatively simple QoS support mechanism and thus it is easy to be extended. This is because DiffServ is not a per-flow based mechanisms and it does not require any signaling protocol. However, previously proposed DiffServ schedulers for wired networks can not be deployed directly into wireless networks since they do not consider properties of wireless networks. As a solution to the problem, DSS(DiffServ Supporting Scheduler) was proposed. DSS uses uplink channel, which is originally used for a node to require a base station to transmit packets, to support QoS efficiently. However, QoS does not consider handoff so that it can not support QoS for moving nodes from one cell to the other cell. Therefor. the proposed handoff support QoS mechanism is necessary for TCC/CDMA networks. The proposed scheme allows a mobile node to achieve seamless service without QoS degradation even for the handoff duration.

Multicast is an efficient method for real-time transmission in many multimedia applications. It is important to recover lost packets and to manage multicast groups according to the network status in order to improve the reliability of multicast transmissions. In this paper, we propose a method that can efficiently recover lost packets in a large multicast group. In the proposed method, we create a recovery cluster (RC) using a multicast domain (MD) for recovery of lost packets. In the conventional methods, clusters send a request message for lost packets to the senders in order to recover the packets lost from many multicast applications. This increases packet delay time and overhead because of the feedback messages and retransmitted packets. In the proposed method, we improve these problems using the RC, which consists of many MDs (which have overlay multicast senders), and many cluster heads (CHs). We divide the message into blocks, and divide each block into many segments for packet recovery using the CHs. When packet loss occurs, all CHs share the segment information and recover the lost segments at the same time. Simulation results show that the proposed method could improve the packet recovery ratio by about 50% compared to the conventional methods.
