By the newly emerging Network access technology, we face the new heterogeneous network environment. The required level of service quality and diversity are now multiplied by the increment of wireless service subscribers. Focusing on the co-existence of multiple access network technology and the complex service needs of users, the wireless service operators should present the stable service quality for every user. The service operators should build the new operation framework which combines the pre-established networks and newly adopted ones. Our problem is finding the optimal heterogeneous network operation framework. We suggest a market-based marginal cost function for evaluating the relative value of resource of each network and develop the whole new heterogeneous network operation framework.

현재 무선 인터넷 환경은 이동 단말에 컨텐츠 서비스를 제공할 경우, 서비스 사용자가 소유한 단말 환경의 다양성을 고려한 컨텐츠 최적화 작업을 필요로 한다. 기존 환경에서는 이런 기능을 위한 서버를 따로 설치하여 관리함으로 사용자가 늘어나게 되면 서버에 부하가 집중되어 제공되는 서비스의 질이 저하되는 문제가 발생한다. 본 논문에서는 이런 컨텐츠 최적화 기능을 망에서 제공하여 서버의 부하 집중 문제를 해결하는 이동 컨텐츠 적응형 네트워크(Mobile Contents Adaptation: MobiCAN)를 제안한다. MobiCAN 시스템은 ABone(Active Network Backbone) 데몬과 ANTS(Active Network Transfer System) 실행환경, 컨텐츠 최적화를 위한 액티브 응용으로 구성된다. 본 연구에서는 위와 같이 구성된 MobiCAN 시스템을 실제 무선 인터넷 망과 연동시킴으로 해서 액티브 네트워크의 무선 인터넷 적용 가능성을 확인하였다.

최근 인터넷상에서 사용자와 대용량 콘텐츠의 급증으로 서버와 네트워크의 부하가 가중되고 서비스의 질이 떨어지는 문제를 해결하기 위해 콘텐츠를 다수의 지역 서버에 분산하여 서비스 하는 기술들이 대두되고 있다. 이러한 환경에서는 클라이언트의 요청에 대해 다수의 웹 서버 중 가깝고 트래픽이 적은 서버로 요청을 재 전달하여 빠르고 안정된 멀티미디어 서비스를 기대할 수 있다. 그러므로 본 연구에서는 이러한 환경을 이동 환경에 적용하여 이동하는 클라이언트의 요청에 대해 적절한 서버가 응답함으로써 이동 호스트에서도 계속적으로 증가하는 대용량, 실시간 멀티미디어 콘텐츠의 빠르고 안정적인 서비스를 가능하게 할 수 있는 알고리즘을 제안하고자 한다.

A sensor network is one of the service infra collecting data using sensor nodes and processing collected data in order to provide necessary information to users. To service data on the sensor networks, it is required to process user queries and retrieve data from the network. In this paper, we propose a basis to classify the schemes processing queries and categorize the existing key researches following the proposed basis.

Recently user-generated contents have been drastically increased. In this paper, we introduce the user reputation which can be used to evaluate quality of the content they created. First we have composed a social network that is based on user activity. And we have developed the algorithm to evaluate the users' reputation using this social network.

인터넷 사용자의 확산과 더불어 인터넷의 장점, 즉 정보의 공유, 전송 수단의 제공 등으로 인해 공간 정보 서비스 지원을 위한 많은 웹을 기반으로 하는 소프트웨어들이 활발히 연구되고 있다. 이 논문에서는 공간 질의 및 질의 처리에 요구되는 공간 질의구문, 공간 연산자 및 사용자에게 질의 결과를 반환해 주기 위해 필요한 전체적인 공간 질의 처리 시스템을 설계한다. 또한 인터넷의 장점을 이용하기 위한 웹과의 연동을 고려하여 네트워크와 분산 언어라는 특성을 지니고 있는 객체지향 언어인 자바를 이용하여 구현한다.

To guarantee client buffer stabilization and visual quality, the VOD service that provides real time video titles on requirements of numerous users, needs a mechanism which transfers frames with dropping or skipping algorithm by network condition. In this paper, we show an algorithm that transfers withdrawed skipped MPEG frames(I, P, B frame) from disk to client dependent on network load. Moreover, we verify through a simulation that adaptive dealing on network load can reduce the network load and stabilize client receiving buffer.

The operational effect of traffic signal control improvement was evaluated using the Two-Fluid Model. The parameters engaged in the Two-Fluid Model becomes food indicators to measure the quality of traffic flow due to the improvement of traffic signal operation. A series of experiment were conduced for the 31 signalized intersections in Uijeongbu City. To estimate the parameters in the Two-Fluid Model the trajectory informations of individual vehicles were collected using the CORSIM and Run Time Extension. The test results showed 35 percent decrease of average minimum trip time per unit distance. One of the parameters in the Two-Fluid Model is a measure of the resistance of the network to the degraded operation with the increased demand. The test result showed 28 percent decrease of this parameter. In spite of the simulation results of the arterial flow, it was concluded that the Two-Fluid Model is useful tool to evaluate the improvement of the traffic signal control system from the macroscopic aspect.

Energy saving mechanism is very important in a battery-powered wireless sensor networks. In this paper we derived the energy consumption model of each sensor node and the conditions of proving the QoS requirements. Through the analysis of energy consumption of each sensor node, we suggest the method to prolong lifetime of WSNs.

USN은 하드웨어와 유 무선 통신기술이 서로 네트워크로 연결되어 사물이나 환경의 정보를 획득하고 가공해 유용한 정보로 창출하는 것을 목표로 하고 있으며, 그 중 u-Healthcare는 의료 서비스 질 향상이라는 필요성에 의해 이슈가 되고 있다. 본 논문에서는 이 기종 센서 네트워크에서 획득한 데이터를 추상화하고 상황에 맞는 서비스를 제공하는 지능형 미들웨어를 설계하였다. 설계된 미들웨어를 사회적 이슈가 되고 있는 IT의료 분야에 적용해서 헬스 케어 모니터링 시스템을 구현했다. 센서를 통해 온도, 습도, 조도, 심박 수, 체온을 측정해서 실시간으로 관리하고 모니터링 하는 기능을 지원한다. 또한, 실시간으로 전달되는 바이오 정보를 통합 관리하는 부분에 초점을 맞추어 연구를 진행했다.
