빙축열이용 공조시스템

  • 에너지수요 구조개혁이란 관점에서 볼 때 전력부하 평준화의 한 수단으로서 빙축열이용 공조시스템의 채용과 그 신장이 현저하다. 빙축열이용 공주시스템은 다른 축열이용시스템(예를 들면 수축열)에 비하여 단위체적당의 축열량을 크게 할 수 있어 자 스페이스를 도모할 수 있다. 또 취급이 간단하여 환경에의 영향부하가 적다는 점 등 시대를 대표하는 공조시스템이라 할 수 있다. 미쓰비시전기에서는 타사에 앞서 선진적인 빙축열이용 공조시스템을 개발$\cdot$판매하고 있으며 기종 갖추기, 성능 공히 업계 톱클래스를 유지하고 있다. 채용이 넓어지고 있는 중$\cdot$소규모 빙축열이용 공조시스템은 패키지 에어컨 방식과 Chiller방식으로 대별된다. 전자는 야간전력으로 만든 얼음으로 냉매를 냉각하여 냉방능력을 높여 에너지이용효율(COP)을 올림으로써 주간전력에너지를 삭감하는 것이다. 후자는 야간전력으로 만든 얼음으로 공조용 순환수를 냉각하여 주간에 냉방으로 이용하는 것이다. 어느 방식이나 야간의 전력으로 만들어진 얼음으로 주간에 필요한 전력에너지를 충당하고 있어, 주간전력의 야간전력으로의 시프트를 달성할 수 있는 시스템이다.

Experimental Study on Cooling Performance of Internal Heat Exchanger for CO2 Refrigerant System (이산화탄소 냉매 시스템용 내부 열교환기의 냉방성능에 관한 실험적 연구)

  • In order to investigate the performance of an internal heat exchanger for $CO_2$ refrigerant system, the experiment was performed. Four kinds of internal heat exchangers(IHX) were used. The effects on the IHX length, the number of tube, the operating condition and the type of IHX were investigated. With increasing of the IHX length, the capacity and efficiency increased. The pressure drop of the low-side was larger compared with that of the high-side. As the temperature of the gas cooler increased, the capacity and efficiency increased linearly. The operation condition of evaporator was suggested as two phase region rather than superheat region. The capacity and efficiency of the micro-channel was larger about 90% and 75% than those of the tube. But the pressure drop of the micro-channel was more larger, compared with that of the tube.

  • This study is aiming to suggest the effective thermal management system design technologies for the high voltage and capacity battery system of the electricity driven vehicles and introduce the theoretical designing methods. In order to investigate the effective operation of the battery system for the electricity driven vehicles, the heat generation model for Li-ion battery system using the chemical reaction while charging and discharging was suggested and the thermal loads of the heat sources (air or liquid) for cooling and heating were calculated using energy balance. Especially, the design methods for the cooling and heating of the battery system for maintaining the optimum operation temperature were investigated under heating, cooling and generated heat (during charging and discharging) conditions. The battery thermal management system for the effective battery operation of the electricity driven vehicles was suggested reasonably depending on the variation of the season and operation conditions. In addition, at the same conditions under summer season, the cooling method using the liquid and active cooling technique showed a relatively high capacity, while cooling method using the passive cooling technique showed a relatively low capacity.

  • 전력수급의 안정을 위해 공급능력을 확충하고 에너지절약시책을 강력히 추진하였다. 하계전력수급의 공급예비율은 7%를 목표로 하였다. 한국전력의 수요관리사업을 대폭 확충하였다. 한국전력의 수요관리사업을 대폭 확충하였다. 96년 440억원이었던 수요관리사업을 97년 540억원으로 확대하여 빙축열냉방 및 요금구조개선 등 부하관리부문과 고효율조명기기 보급 등 효율향상에 투자하여 신규전력 설비투자비를 8천억을 절감하였다.

Performance of the Geothermal Heat Pump using Vapor Injection for Hot Water (증기분사를 적용한 고온수용 지열 히트펌프의 성능특성)

  • The purpose of this study is to evaluate the experimental performance characteristics of a water-to-water geothermal heat pump featuring a vapor refrigerant injection for the production of hot water. The performance of geothermal heat pump with a vapor injection was evaluated by comparing with that of a conventional geothermal heat pump without a vapor injection. For heating operation, the geothermal heat pump with a vapor injection is superior in COP and heating capacity. The vapor injection was more effective for supplying hot water while overloading. The vapor injection was effective for the improvement of the cooling capacity. However, the vapor injection was not effective for the increasing of COP according to the increased input of a compressor. The advantage of vapor injection in water-to-water geothermal heat pump become disappeared while cooling operation with lower part loading.

Design of Gas-Injection Port of an Asymmetric Scroll Compressor for Heat Pump Systems (히트 펌프용 비대칭 스크롤 압축기의 가스 인젝션 포트 설계)

  • For an asymmetric scroll compressor for heat pump application, a numerical simulation was carried out to investigate the effects of injection port design on the compressor's performance under gas injection. To validate the simulation, the numerical results were compared with experimental results obtained from a scroll compressor with a base injection port design. There was good agreement between simulation and experimental results, with around a 1% difference in the injection mass flow rate when the injection pressure was below $12kgf/cm^2A$ for the heating mode. Various injection port angular positions were numerically tested to yield better injection performance. The largest improvement in heating capacity was obtained at angles of $240^{\circ}$ and $200^{\circ}$ inward from the scroll wrap end angle for low-temperature and standard heating conditions, respectively, while the maximum COP improvement was at $365^{\circ}$ and $280^{\circ}$, respectively. A considerable improvement in cooling capacity was also found at the injection port angle of $240^{\circ}$.

  • An experimental study on heat pump cycle systematizing characteristics for non-azeotropic refrigerant mixtures of R-22+R-114 was reported. Data were obtained under steady state condition at the ranges of parameters, 550- 2, 170kcal/h, 670-2, 990kcal/h, 24-71kg/h, and 0-1, for as cooling capacity, heating capacity, mass 25, 50, 75, and 100 per cent of R-22 by weight fraction for R-22+R-114 mixtures. The results shown that the C.O.P of the 50wt% of R-22 mixture was considerably larger than for pure R-22 and other weight fraction of R-22 mixtures, but the compression power of the 25wt% of R-22 was lower than that of the pure R-22 and the other weight fraction of R-22 mixtures. The hightest value of cooling capacity was obtained at the conditions of evaporating temperature 5.deg.C and R-22 50wt% mixture. In general, with an increase in the R-22 weight fraction for fixed values of the other parameter, the cooling capacity increased at first, obtained a maximum, and then decreasd. This verified the importance of accurate weight fractions od refrigerant mixtures in the heat pump cycle.

  • Air conditioners adopting high energy efficiency and low global warming potential (GWP) refrigerant are being developed globally. In case of commercial air conditioner, R32 with lower GWP than R410A is attracting industrial attentions. In this study, the performance of water-to-water geothermal heat pump adopting R32 is compared with that of the heat pump using R410A. By using R32 instead of R410A, heating capacity and COP in heating standard condition can be increased by 8.8% and 6.3% respectively. Also, cooling capacity and COP in cooling standard condition can be increased by 5.3% and 3.1% respectively by using R32. But in case of using R32, systemic improvements are required to decrease discharge temperature of compressor since discharge temperature rises abnormally in heating operations.

  • In the present study, the cooling characteristics of the multi-air conditioner (A/C) using an inverter scroll compressor are experimentally investigated for the number of the indoor units and the operating conditions (2$0^{\circ}C$, 24$^{\circ}C$, 26$^{\circ}C$) under the cooling standard conditions by KS C 9306. In the case of the simultaneous operation for 3 indoor units, the cooling capacity, the mass flow rate and the input power have a decreasing trend and COP has an increasing trend, with decreasing the difference in the operating temperature of the indoor unit and the room temperature. In the case of the simultaneous operation for 2 indoor units, the COP of the indoor unit with large cooling capacity is high when the operating temperature is high, but the COP of the indoor unit with low cooling capacity is high when the operating temperature is low. In the case of the single operation for one unit, when the large cooling capacity of the indoor unit is less than 50% the compressor operates at the minimum operation frequency region and the COP decreases.

  • This paper deals with the research for the effects of the operating parameters that could be used for a transcritical $CO_2$ mobile air-conditioning system on the cooling performance. The experimental conditions of the performance tests for a system and components such as a gas cooler and an evaporator were suggested to compare the performance of each with the standardized test conditions. And this research presents experimental results for the performance characteristics of a $CO_2$ mobile air conditioning system with various operating conditions such as different gas cooler inlet pressures and frontal air velocities/temperatures passing through an evaporator and a gas cooler. Experimental results show that the cooling capacity was more than 5kW and coefficient of performance (COP) was more than 2.1, also. Therefore, we checked that the mobile air-conditioning system using $CO_2$ has good performance compared to that using HFC-134a.
