Influence of Clinical Nurses' Intrinsic Motivation, Affective Commitment, and Turnover Intention on Organizational Performance (간호사의 내재적 동기부여, 정서적 몰입 및 이직의도가 조직성과에 미치는 영향)

  • The purpose of this study was to identify the effects of clinical nurses' intrinsic motivation, affective commitment, and turnover intention on organizational performance. Participants were 189 nurses currently working at four general hospitals in C city. Data were collected by a self-report questionnaire and analyzed by using the SPSS/WIN 18.0 program with descriptive analysis, t-test, ANOVA, Pearson correlation coefficient, and multiple regression. Mean scores were as follows: intrinsic motivation($3.02{\pm}0.57$), affective commitment ($3.47{\pm}0.71$), turnover intention ($3.30{\pm}0.59$), and organizational performance ($3.37{\pm}0.52$). Organizational performance was significantly correlated with intrinsic motivation, affective commitment, and turnover intention. Nurses with higher affective commitment and intrinsic motivation showed higher organizational performance, where as higher turnover intention was correlated with lower organizational performance. The factors that influenced organizational performance were affective commitment(${\beta}=.42$), intrinsic motivation(${\beta}=.36$), and turnover intention(${\beta}=-.11$), with an explanatory power of 51.6%. Results of this study indicate the need to evaluate and manage the significant predictors of organizational performance. Further studies are needed to identify the relationships between clinical nurses' intrinsic motivation, affective commitment, turnover intention, and organizational performance.

A Convergence Study on the Relationship between Food Preferences and Intrinsic Motivation of Rural Tourism (농촌관광의 내재적동기와 음식선호에 대한 융복합 연구)

  • The purpose of research is to suggest the direction of rural tourism and food products by looking at the relevance of the intrinsic motivation and food preference. Through the analysis, factors of 'leisure oriented', 'family oriented', 'relationship oriented', 'health oriented', and food preference 'cooking health', 'material function', 'local resource' and 'consume experience' were extracted. Through the correlation analysis, 'leisure and health oriented' was found to be significant with cooking health, 'relationship and health oriented' was significant with material function, 'leisure, family and relationship oriented' was significant with local resource and 'relationship oriented' was significant with consume experience. Therefore, tourists who want rest, healing and health need to provide healthy dishes, tourists who want family and leisure provide local or special dishes, and tourists who want to have a relationship with people need to provide functional foods or herbal medicine dishes. Food products that meet the needs of tourists will induce revisit by increasing tourist satisfaction and bring economic revitalization of the region through the expansion of rural tourism.

Effect of Academic Motivation on the Learning Flow with Training for Caregivers (요양보호사 교육 참가자의 학습동기가 학습몰입에 미치는 영향)

  • This study examines how caregivers' academic motivation to participate in training affects their learning flow with their training. This study surveyed 230 trainees at a caregiver training agency in City B. A survey was conducted, and questionnaire was conceived to obtain the measure of two latent variables: learning flow, motivation to learning. Descriptive statistics, factor analysis, correlation analysis and regression analysis were used. Intrinsic motivation and extrinsic motivation had positive effects on learning flow. However Intrinsic motivation had high level of correlation than extrinsic motivation on learning flow. Therefore, learning flow had not alone intrinsic motivation but also partial correlation with extrinsic motivation. The multidirectional study is require the caregivers' training for development, caregivers' training and Management.

The Effect of Empowering Leadership on Intrinsic Motivation, Job Crafting and Job Performance (임파워링 리더십이 내재적 동기, 잡 크래프팅 및 직무성과에 미치는 영향)

  • In this study, we investigated the impact of empowering leadership on intrinsic motivation, job crafting, and job performance. The role of intrinsic motivation and job crafting in the relationship between empowering leadership and job performance was verified. Covariance structure analysis was conducted to verify the research hypothesis using questionnaire data collected from SME workers in Yangsan, Ulsan, and Gyeongju. The results were as follows. First, empowering leadership has a significant influence on intrinsic motivation, job crafting. Second, empowering leadership did not have a significant influence on job performance. Third, intrinsic motivation has a significant influence on job crafting but intrinsic motivation did not have a significant influence on job performance. Fourth, job crafting has a significant influence on job performance. Finally, intrinsic motivation plays a partial mediating role in the relationship between empowering leadership and job crafting. job crafting plays a full mediating role in the relationship between empowering leadership and job performance. The results of this study suggest that employees' intrinsic motivation and job crafting should be promoted through the leader's empowering leadership in order to improve job performance.

The Moderating Effect of Activation Factors : An Empirical Study on the Motivation of Co-creation Participation (공동가치창출을 위한 활성화 정책이 참여 동기에 미치는 조절 효과 분석)

  • Co-creation is an important approach to innovation that uses internal and external sources for value creation. This study identified the effects of intrinsic motivation, extrinsic motivation, and the moderating effects of activation factors using multiple regression and moderated multiple regression. To this end, 181 usable questionnaires were collected and analyzed. The result of analysis showed that intrinsic motivation had the significant meaning and the moderating effects of activation factors on the relationship between extrinsic motivation and co-creation participation exist. Companies may use this result to activate the co-creation participation of the customer. The future study analyzed by survey responses in multiple layers will improve the generalization of the study.

  • It seems crucial for entrepreneurship researchers to study how individual creativity is influenced by a number of entrepreneurship related traits. This is because individuals aiming to become entrepreneurs by launching their own start-ups need to enhance their creativity level to compete successfully in the target market. In the field of entrepreneurship studies, however, there is no literature about exploring the relationship between individual creativity, and entrepreneurship related constructs such as intrinsic motivation, parasocial interaction, prosocial motivation, and perspective taking. In this sense, our proposed research model focuses on filling the research void like this. To verify the proposed research model. we collected valid data from college students. To add rigor to our study, we allowed participants to view a talk show content where a successful entrepreneur was telling his story. Empirical test results were robust statistically enough to prove the validity of our proposed research model.

The effect of learner-centered instruction on academic stress: Focusing on the mediating effects of learning motivation and growth beliefs (학습자 중심 교수가 학업스트레스에 미치는 영향: 학습동기와 성장신념의 매개효과를 중심으로)

  • This study aims to demonstrate the longitudinal structural relationship between learner-centered instruction, learning motivation, growth beliefs, and academic stress. In particular, this study was carried out to focus on the structural effect of the related variables using data from the 3rd to 5th year of the Gyeonggi Education Panel Study. Results showed that while learner-centered instruction positively predicted both intrinsic and extrinsic motivation of learners, it predicted the former better. In addition, learner-centered instruction influenced academic stress through motivation, both intrinsic and extrinsic motivation were found to increase stress. Further, growth beliefs mediated motivation with learner-centered instruction; specifically, learner-centered instruction influenced learners' positive beliefs about growth, and learners who had growth beliefs had intrinsic motivation. At the same time, external motivation tended to be lower for learners who believed in the possibility of growth. Finally, the perceptions of learner-centered instruction affected academic stress through changes in growth beliefs. However, the other 3 factors (learner-centered instruction, learning motivation, and academic stress) were not statistically significant. In conclusion, learner-centered instruction was able to mitigate academic stress, demonstrating that this relationship is influenced by changes in growth beliefs rather than learning motivation, as previously studied. These results suggest that learners' perceptions and beliefs contribute to not only intrinsic motivation but also academic stress. Furthermore, it is suggested that learners need to change their learning environments in positive ways.

Mediating Effects of Intrinsic Motivation on The Relationship Between Positive Psychological Capital, Psychological Empowerment and Creativity (긍정심리자본, 심리적 임파워먼트와 창의성의 관계에서 내재적 동기의 매개효과 검증)

  • This study examined the relationship among PsyCap(positive psychological capital), psychological empowerment, personal creativity and verified the mediated effects of intrinsic motivation in this relationship using the SEM(Structural Equation Model). For this study, the data was collected through on/off-line surveys of members and managers from 12 different enterprises. Among the 418 answers from voluntary participating employees, 332 answers were finally used for statistical analysis. The results were as follows. First, PsyCap had a positive influence on the intrinsic motivation and personal creativity. Second, Psychological Empowerment had a positive influence on intrinsic motivation, but psychological empowerment has no influence on creativity. Third, intrinsic motivation had a meaningful influence by partially mediating PsyCap and personal creativity but completely mediated psychological empowerment and personal creativity. This study focused on intrinsic motivation among the internal factors that have influences on showing personal creativity and has importance in the point that it has suggested the statistical significance by analyzing the psychological/emotional mechanism to reinforce this intrinsic motivation in a positive way. Positive analysis on the relationships among these variables suggests a theoretical meaning on providing a future direction for the study and practical meaning on providing ideas to reinforce the employees' personal creativity. A Study on the Relationships among Intrinsic Motivators, Psychological Empowerment, Affective Commitment and Service Quality (내재적 동기요인, 심리적 임파워먼트, 정감적 몰입 및 서비스품질 간 관계에 관한 연구 -호텔종사자를 중심으로-)

  • The purpose of this study was to investigate the relationships among intrinsic motivators, psychological empowerment, affective commitment, and service quality among hotel industry employees. For this study, data were collected from 233 hotel employees in Seoul Metropolitan City with self-administered questionnaires and analyzed using structural equation modelling technique. This study found that two job characteristics variables(job challenge and job autonomy) had positive effects on hotel employees' psychological empowerment; that three job characteristics variables(job challenge, job variety and job autonomy) and psychological empowerment had positive effects on hotel employees' organizational commitment; and that psychological empowerment and organizational commitment had positive effects on hotel employees' service quality.

  • 최근들어 꾸준히 증가하고 있는 오픈소스를 통한 소프트웨어 개발에 대한 관심과 참여는 국가적 규모의 지원과 활성화 방안에 대한 연구로 이어지고 있다. 그중에서 오픈소스 개발환경의 한 요소인 개발자들에 대한 이해는 가장 모든 관련연구에 우선하는 핵심적인 연구주제로 다루어져 왔으며, 연구자들은 국제적인 규모의 프로젝트를 대상으로 어떤이들이 무슨 동기로 참여하고 있는가에 대한 질문을 위주로 연구해왔다. 본 연구는 국지적 관점을 추가하여 이러한 연구노력의 연장선상에서 오픈소스 개발에 참여하고 있는 한국인 개발자들을 대상으로 탐색적으로 살펴본다. 본 연구는 한국인 오픈소스 개발자들은 누구인가라는 질문에 대한 답변을 기술통계적 분석기법을 이용하여 시도하고, 또 한국인 참가자들 오픈소스개발 참여에 대한 내재적인 동기와 외적(또는 환경적)동기에 대해 기존 연구들과 비교분석을 통해 이해하려고 시도한다. 이와같은 비교관찰을 토대로 한국의 오픈소스 개발환경에 대한 좀 더 포괄적인 지식을 얻어낼 수 있을 것으로 기대되며, 또 오픈소스 개발과 관련한 기타 연구에 있어 인적요소에 대한 이해를 증진시키는데 기여할 수 있을 것으로 생각된다. 본 연구는 방법론으로써 각종 국내외 오픈소스 프로젝트들에 가입하여 활동중인 한국인 개발자들을 대상으로 전자메일을 이용한 사전조사(설문)를 실시하였다.
