Case Study on the Impact-Echo Method for Tunnel Safety Diagnosis (터널 안전진단을 위한 충격반향법 사례 연구)

  • For the purpose of determining the thickness of concrete lining and detect of the cavity where may be located behind tunnel lining, IE (Impact-Echo) method it effectively useful in the tunnel safety diagnosis and the quality control during the construction. As a part of case study, we applied IE method to various tunnel structure types such as road tunnel and subway tunnel constructed by NATM (New Austrian Tunnelling Method) and ASSM (American Steel Support Method). As tunnel specifications estimated from this method were compared with coring data, design drawing and other survey results, it was very good agreement with each other. In conclusion, we verified that IE method shows an accurate and reliable result. The conventional interpretation of IE method in frequency domain gives only vertical information at a certain point. However, the interpretation using time-frequency analysis and depth section imaging technique from two dimensional profiling surveys can show more reliable information about structure inside.

Corrosion and Bond Strength Characteristics of Anti-Corrosive Cement Coated Reinforcements (방청시멘트 도막철근의 내부식 성능 및 부착강도 성능연구)

  • Recently, large scale concrete structures exposed to severe environments are increasingly built in various locations, The corrosion may severely affect the durability and service life of such a concrete structure. It is, therefore, necessary to develop a method to enhance the corrosion resistance of a concrete, The purpose of this paper is, therefore, to investigate the corrosion resistance and bond strength characteristics of anti-corrosive cement coated reinforcements. To this end, a comprehensive experimental study has been done to explore the corrosion and bond behavior of those coated reinforcements. The test results indicate that the anti-corrosive cement coated reinforcements do not exhibit any corrosion after corrosion tests and the bond strengths are very good as much as plain bar. It is seen that the anti-corrosive cement coated reinforcements can be efficiently used to enhance the durability of reinforced concrete structures.

  • Much effort is being done to standardize the PWR-type nuclear power plant in Korea. This paper presents the development of seismic design criteria for the reactor internals as a part of the standardization program for nuclear power plant. The seismic design loads of the reactor internals are calculated using the reference input motions of reactor vessel taken from Yong-gwang Nuclear Power Plant Units 3 and 4. An overview of analysis related to the basic parameters and methodologies is presented. Also, the response of internal components for the reactor vessel motions is carefully investigated.

비래염분 추정기법에 대한 해석적 연구

  • 해안가에 건설되는 구조물 표면은 해풍에 의해 직접적인 영향을 받는다. 해풍에 섞여 날아오는 염분이 건축물 외부에 흡착하여 시간이 경과함에 따라 내부로 확산 이동하게 되어, 콘크리트 내부의 철근이 부식하게 된다. 따라서, 해안가 구조물의 비래염분에 대한 열화 예측을 보다 정확하게 조사하기 위해서는 실환경하에 작용하는 기상요인, 지형, 구조물의 형태 등 대상지역의 다양한 조건을 정밀하게 반영하여 정해야 할 필요가 있다. 풍향, 풍속, 온도, 습도등의 다양하게 변화하는 기상요인에서 각 요인에 따라 발생되는 비래염분량과의 상관성을 분석하기 위해서는 고정된 실험인자에 따른 지속적인 실험이 필요하다. 따라서 본 연구는 비래염분 포집기 개발 및 인공비래염분 발생장치(이하, 인공장치) 개발과 장치 성능의 정확성 향상을 위한 기초 실험 실시에 목표를 하였고, 또한 개발된 비래염분 포집기를 실 환경에 설치하여 각 실험인자에 따른 실환경에서의 비래염분 포집량을 분석하고자 한다.

  • 공간부족과 해안 매립으로 발생되는 문제점을 해결하기 위하여 초대형부유구조물이 각광 받고 있으며, 대표적인 구조형식으로는 폰톤식과 반잠수식이 있다. 하지만 다양한 환경에 적용하기에는 구조적으로 한계를 가지고 있으며, 이를 극복하기 위해 부유체 하부에 수직으로 결합된 실린더에 공기를 가두어 지지되는 공기안정식 플랫폼이 제안되어졌으나 아직 개념단계에 머무르고 있는 실정이다. 이에 본 연구에서는 공기 안정식 초대형부유구조물의 실린더 내부 공기상태에 따른 안정성을 검토하기 위하여 유체정역학적 관계를 통해 실린더 내부의 공기 복원력 변수를 산정하였으며, 선형파랑하중에 따른 구조물의 응답을 최소화 할 수 있는 변수의 범위를 제시하였다.

  • 광섬유 브래그 격자 센서(Fiber Brags Grating Sensor: FBG Sensor)는 여타 광섬유 센서와 같이 가볍고 저렴하며 주위의 전자기적 잡음에 무관한 장점과 더불어 측정대상이 반사광의 파장변화이므로, 광섬유 연결부나 실험장치들에 의해 생기는 광 손실이나 잡음에 대해서 강인한 측정을 할 수 있다. 그리고 파장변화가 변형률이나 온도변화에 선형적으로 나타나므로, 센서로서 많은 연구가 진행되고 있다. 특히, 구조물의 내부에 삽입하여 구조물 스스로 외부의 환경변화를 감지하여 필요한 동작을 수행하는 지능형 구조물(Smart Structure)에 적합한데, 이를 위해선 구조물의 여러 지점을 측정해야 하므로, 브래그 격자 여러개를 한 시스템에서 사용하는 다중화(Multiplexing)가 필수적이다.   • 해양콘크리트 구조물의 내구성에 가장 큰 영향은 미치는 요인 중의 하나가 염소 이온의 침투에 의한 철근부식이다. 염소이온이 콘크리트 구조물 내부로 확산되어 철근이 부식하게 되면 철근의 부피팽창으로 콘크리트 덮개에 균열이 발생하고 철근의 단면적도 줄어들게 된다. 따라서, 구조물은 사용연한을 채우지 못 하고 붕괴되거나 사용성에 큰 문제가 발생하게 된다. (중략)

  • Internal structures, especially those located in the upstream of a reactor core, may have a significant influence on the core inlet flow rate distribution depending on both their shapes and the relative distance between the internal structures and the core inlet. In this study, to examine the effect of the reactor internal structure geometry treatment method on the prediction accuracy for the scale-down APR+ flow distribution, simulations with real geometry modeling were conducted using ANSYS CFX R.14, a commercial computational fluid dynamics software, and the predicted results were compared with those of the porous medium assumption. It was concluded that the core inlet flow distribution could be predicted more accurately by considering the real geometry of the internal structures located in the upstream of the core inlet. Therefore, if sufficient computational resources are available, an exact representation of these internal structures, for example, lower support structure bottom plate and ICI nozzle support plate, is needed for the accurate simulation of the reactor internal flow.

Forces and Displacements of Highrise Braced Frames with Facade Riggers (여러개의 파사드리거를 갖는 고층구조물의 응력과 변위)

  • In the conventional outrigger system, the outriggers are located in the planes of the core walls and this system has disadvantage of obstructing flexibility in the interior layout. But thc facade riggers in the structure uc located In the exterior frames in the direction of the lateral loading. The interaction between the traced frames and facade riggers is through the floor diaphragms adjacent to the chords of the riggers. This paper presents an approximate analysis technique lot preliminary analysis of multiple facade rigger stiffened braced frames in tall buildings subjected to uniformly and triangularly distributed loads as well as a lateral point load at the top of the structure. Comparisons with the results by the program MIDAS for the structural models have shown that this analysis can give reasonably accurate results for highrise braced frames with multiple facade riggers. The method allows a simple procedure for obtaining the optimum level of the facade riggers in addition to a rapid assessment of the influence of the facade riggers on the performance of the highrise structure such as the reduction in lateral deflection at the top and the overturning moment at the base of the braced frame.
