사문암지대의 중금속 함유 낙엽의 분해에 관한 연구 I. Microcosm 실험 (Studies on the Decomposition of Leaf Litter Containing Heavy Metals in Andong Serpentine Area, Korea I. Microcosm Experiment)

  • This study attempted to compare the litter decomposition rate of Arundinella hirta and Miscanthus sinensis var. purpurascens which collected from serpentine soil acting potentially toxic concentration of heavy metals and non-serpentine soil by using the microcosm method for 192 days under constant humidity and $23^{\circ}C$. The contents of Ni, Fe, Mg and Cr in the serpentine and nonserpentine soil originated litter showed high differences between them. The litter samples from serpentine site have lower C/N than non-serpentine litter, but the soluble carbohydrate content was shown almost similar between two plant litter. The mass loss rates of leaf litter from serpentine area were slower than those from non-serpentine site. During the experimental period, the remained dry weight of A. hirta and M. sinensis var. purpurascens litter collected from serpentine site were 64.7%, 65.0% of initial dry weight and litter samples from non-serpentine site showed 54.2%, 50.7%, respectively. K and Na were leached rapidly at the initial decomposition periods, but Ca showed immobilization and other metal elements reserved at the decomposing litter for a long time. The decomposing A. hirta litter from non-serpentine soil showed higher values of $CO_2$ evolution, microbial biomass-C, and microbial biomass-N than those in serpentine soil originated litter acting nutrient stresses and exhibited rapid decay rate. The microbial biomass and microbial respiration of decaying litter were positively correlated with litter decomposition rate, and these relationships showed more rapid slope in non-serpentine soil originated litter than that in serpentine soil.

한국 남동지역 상류 하천에서의 낙엽 분해기작과 shredder 분포 유형 (Leaf Litter Processing and Patterns of Shredder Distribution in Headwater Steams in Southeastern Korea)

  • During the period of December 1992 (winter-spring) and from February 1995 (winter-spring), the leaf processing rates of oak (Quercus serrata) and tulip (Liriodendron tulipifera) tree was investigated in the headwater streams in southeastern part of Korea in conjunction with the distribution pattern of macroinvertebrate fauna. Using two types of bags ($10\times30cm$ with 5 g of dry leaves; open bag with holes, closed bag without holes), decomposition rates of oak and tulip tree by shredder and/or microbiota at a reatively undisturbed 2nd-order stream were compared, Regardless of leaf type, leaves in the open bage decomposed slightly faster than those in the closed bags. In the 1992 experiment, osk leaves decomposed much slower than tulip leaves (after 138 degree days, osk : closed, 0.006% loss/day ; open, 0.008 ; tulip: closed, 0.021 ; open, 0.023; n=2). The of the first experiment using oak leaves in 1995 were similar to those of the first experiment (after 151 degree days, oak: closed, 0.005% loss / day; open, 0.006; n=6). Over 50% of invertebrates from 122 leaf pack samples collected from 12 streams during the winter period of 1994 were identified as shredders (shredder, 56.2; collector, 32.7; scraper, 8.65; predator, 2.45%). Among shredders, Gammarus sp. and Tipula sp. were dominant species in terms of number and biomass (8.2 ind./g, 1.0 ind./g AFDW of leaves). Among many physico-chemical parameters, the width of stream channel was found to be the most influential factor in the distribution of Gammarus and Tipula (Gammarus: r=-0.34, P<0.001;Tipula:r=0.40, P<0.001). Considering the fact that oak is one the dominant riparian vegetation in the southeastern part of korea, the patterns of oak processing and shredder distribution shown in theis study may well represent some of the important characteristics of headwater steams in southeastern Korea.

낙엽의 분해과정에 따른 영양염류 및 화학적 구성원의 동태 (Dynamics of Nutrient and KDICical Constituents during Litter Decomposition)

  • Dynamics of nutrients, non-polar, water solubles, acid solubles and acid insolubles (lignin) in decomposing litter were investigated for 2 years in the oak, Quercus acutissima, and the pitch pine, Pinus rigida, stands in the vicinity of Kongju, Chungnam Province. Nitrogen and phosphorus conetrations in decomposing litter increased with time elapsed, however, potassium decreased rapidly within three months and then remined constant with time elapsed. Calcium concentration in needle litter during experimental period was lower than that of initial concentration in needle litter during experimental period was lower than that of initial concentration, and showed no significant variation with time elapsed. Calcium concentration in oak litter during the experimental period, however, were higher than that of initial concentration. Magnesium concentration in oak litter decreased repidly during six months, and then remaines constant thereafter. Annual amount of nitrogen, phosphorus, potassium, calcium and magnesium which returned to soil via litter decomposition in the oak and the pitch pine stands was $3.3g/m^2$ and $0.9g/m^2$ for N, $0.03g/m^2$ and $0.01g/m^2$ for P, $1.3g/m^2$ and $0.7g/m^2$ for K, $0.7g/m^2$ and $1.2g/m^2$ for Ca, $0.9g/m^2$ and $0.4g/m^2$ for Mg, respectively. Non-polar, and water- and acid-soluble fractions in decomposing litter decreased and lignin increased with time.

도심지와 자연지간 토양 특성 및 탄소저장량 비교 - 춘천시를 대상으로 - (Comparison of Soil Characteristics and Carbon Storage between Urban and Natural Lands - Case of Chunchon -)

  • 본 연구는 춘천시의 도심지와 자연지 토양을 표본추출하여 그것의 물리화학적 특성과 탄소저장량을 비교 분석하였다. 토양산도는 도심지에서 평균 6.6, 자연지에서는 그보다 낮은 5.0이었고, 따라서 치환성양이온도 자연지에서 약간 더 낮았다. 유기물함량과 양이온치환능은 자연지에서 도심지보다 각각 1.4배, 1.7배 높은 반면, 유효태인산은 도심지에서 약 3.2배 높았다. 유기탄소저장량은 도심지 평균 $24.8{\pm}1.6$(표준오차) t/ha, 자연지 $31.6{\pm}1.6t/ha$로서, 자연지가 도심지보다 약 1.3배 더 많았다. 수목의 낙엽, 낙지 및 낙근에 의한 연간 탄소유입량에서 분해에 의한 연간 탄소유출량을 제감한 자연지 토양내 단위면적당 연간 탄소축적량은 1.3 t/ha/yr이었다. 춘천시 토양에 저장된 총탄소량은 연간탄소배출량 (245,590 t/yr)의 약 31%에 해당하였다.

TNT(2,4,6-trinitrotoluene)와 카드물의 복합오염이 어저귀의 TNT 흡수 및 생물학적 전환에 미치는 영향 (Combined Effect of 2,4,6-trinitrotoluene(TNT) and Cadmium on Uptake and Phytotransformation of TNT by Abutilion avicennae)

  • 군사지역은 TNT와 같은 화약물질이 중금속과 복합으로 오염되어 있다. 따라서 TNT에 대한 식물상 복원공법을 적용할 때 중금속이 식물체의 오염물 제거, 변환, 축적 능력에 영향을 줄 것으로 예상된다. 분 연구에서는 토착 야초류인 어저귀(abutilion avicennae)를 TNT와 Cd으로 복합 오염된 배지에서 수경재배하여 카드뮴이 식물에 의한 TNT 제거 및 변환에 미치는 영향을 조사하였다. 그 결과, 20㎎TNT/L 와 1.3 ㎎Cd/L이 복합으로 존재할 때 잎의 탄력 감소, 말림 현상, 황백화 현상, 낙엽형성, 생체량 감소 등과 같은 식물 독성효과가 상승하였다. 그러나, 어저귀는 소량의 카드뮴만 흡수하는 종으로 배지내 카드뮴이 1.3 ㎎/L 존재하더라도 TNT 제거, 변환, 이동 및 니트로기의 환원위치에 유의적인 영향을 받지 않는다. 따라서 카드뮴과 TNT로 복합오염된 지역에 어저귀를 식재하면 TNT를 효과적으로 제거하리라 사료된다.

남산과 광릉 활엽수림에서 낙엽분해에 관여하는 토양무척추동물군집에 관한 연구 (Studies on the Soil Invertebrate Community in the Process of Leaf Decomposition in Namsan and Kwangreung Deciduous Forests)

  • One year study with litter bags(mesh size - 0.4mm, 0.8mm, 1.7mm and 5.0mm) was carried out to investigate the soil invertebrate community in the process of leaf decomposition in Namsan and Kwangreung deciduous forests, which were considered to be under different degrees of environmental selective pressure. Soil animals collected from litter bags were classified into the class of order or higher taxa. Acari and Collembola were major groups: Acari and Collembola were about 60% and 30% of total soil animals in their numbers, respectively. Among minor groups, Dipteria, Araneae, Diplopoda, Coleoptera and Chilopoda were comparatively dominant. In Namsan forest which was considered to be under higher environmental selective pressure than Kwangreung, the densities of Acari and Collembola were somewhat higher than in Kwangreung, although there was no statistically significant difference between two sites. The densities of Chilopoda, Enchytraeidae and Nematoda were much higher in Namsan than in Kwangreung but Diplopoda and Symphyla were much more in Kwangreung. It was expected that those groups could be used as bioindicators. The densities of Acari and Collembola were very low until March and then showed the peak in May. But they decreased slowly until November. There was no significant difference among the mesh sized of litter bags in the densities of Acari and Collembola but other groups of soil invertebrates seemed to be prevented from immigrating into the litter bag of mesh size 0.4mm. Decomposition rate of litter in the litter bag was low in early stage of decomposition. The % residual mass over initial mass at 8 months after litter bag introduction in the field was over 80%. Thereafter, % residual mass decreased more fast and was about 60% at 1 year after bag introduction. There was little evidence for the effects of soil invertebrates upon the litter decomposition in the period of this study. And there was no significant difference between Namsan and Kwangreung or among mesh sizes of litter bags in the decomposition rate.

덕유산의 고도에 따른 낙엽의 생산과 분해에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Production and Decomposition of Litters along Altitude of Mt. Dokyoo)

  • The production and decomposition rate of litters from the three different locations, Quercus acutissium forest at 630 m, Q. mongolica forests at 1, 005m and 1, 490 m of Mt. Dokyoo, were estimated by Olson model. The contents of N, P, K, Ca and Na in soils were measured and the relationships among them were elucidated. The amounts of litter production in Q. mangolica were the lowest, 378.96g/$m^2$ at 1, 490 m and the highest, 876.12g/$m^2$ at 1, 005 m. And the amounts of litter production in Q. acutissima at 630 m was 686.16 g/$m^2$. The decay rate of litters in Q. mongolica was the smallest, 0.123 at 1, 490 m, and the largest, 0.222 at 1, 005 m. And that in Q. acutissima was 0.169 at 630 m which was the medium rate. The production and decay rate of litters decreased with the ascending altitude. The values at 630 m were maller than those at 1, 005 m. This might be due to the fact that the tree species at 630 m was Q. acutissima was 0.169 at 630 m which was the medium rate. The production and decay rate of litters decreased with the ascending altitude. The values at 630 m was Q. acutissima which was different from Q. mongolica at 1, 005 m and 1, 490 m. The half-0life of litter decay in Q. monglica was 5, 634 years at 1, 490 m and 3.134 years at 1, 005 m. And that in Q. acutissima was 4.132 years at 630 m. The decay rates of litters were tend to be inversely proportional to the ascending altitude. The annual standing stocks of mineral and their amounts returned to the soil were proportional to the decay rate of organic matters.

억새와 새 초지에 있어서 낙엽의 생산과 분해에 관하여 (The Production and Decomposition of Litters in Miscanthus sinensis and Arundinella hitra Grasslands)

  • 冠岳山의 억새 草地A와 B 및 새草地에 있어서 落葉의 生産, 堆積 및 分解를 硏究하였다. 1. 억새草地A와 B 및 새草地 落葉의 生産量은 各各 2,267.12, 943.44 및 1,228.48g/m$^{2}$였다. 2. 억새草地A와 B 및 새草地 落葉有機物의 分解常數는 各各 0.732, 0.411 및 0.877 이였다. 3. 草地落葉의 有機物이 억새草地A와 B 및 새草地에서 半減하는데 要하는 年數는 各各 0.9年 1.7年 및 0.8年이었고 95% 減少하는데는 4.1年, 7.3年 및 3.4年이었으며 99% 減少하는데는 6.8年, 12.2年 및 5.7年이었다. 4. 草地落葉의 分解速度에는 土壤含水量과 草種에 따라 顯著 差異가 있었다.

산림자원 보호를 위한 적송의 열분해 및 연소 특성 연구 (Pyrolysis and Combustion Characteristics of an Pinus densiflora for the Protection of Forest Resources)

  • 우리나라의 산림면적은 전국토의 70%인 6370304 ha이며 강원도 지역이 타지역에 비해 월등히 넓다. 우리나라의 울창한 산림은 자연환경 중에서 가장 기초적인 구성요소이며 과학 및 교육적 가치 등 인간에게 없어서는 안될 중요한 가치들을 지니고 있다. 그러나 1990년대 이후로 산불발생이 증가함에 따라 수목의 손실과 자연환경 생태계 파괴, 경제적인 손실이 발생하고 산불발생시 그 규모도 대형화 되고 있다. 규모가 대형화 되는 원인은 산림 내의 침엽수, 활엽수, 낙엽, 초본류 등이 많기 때문에 화세를 키우는 직접적 문제점이라 할 수 있다. 이런 현실과 달리 국 내외에서는 수종별 연소특성과 열분해특성 연구가 많이 부족한 실정이며 본 논문에서는 대표적 침엽수인 적송을 대상으로 TGA를 이용해 연소특성 및 열분해반응에 대한 연구를 하였다. 적송은 $162^{\circ}C$ 부근에서 발화가 시작되며 열분해는 $197^{\circ}C$에서부터 시작되었다. TGA 분석으로 얻은 데이터는 미분법을 적용하여 전화율 변화에 따라 활성화에너지와 빈도인자를 계산하였다. 열분해반응에서 활성화 에너지는 전화율 증가에 따라 79~487 kJ/mol로 증가하였고 평균활성화에너지는 195 kJ/mol이었다. 연소과정에서의 활성화에너지는 148~133 kJ/mol로 감소하였다.

월별 드론 영상을 이용한 밴드 조합에 따른 수목 개체 및 수관폭 추출 실험 (Experiments of Individual Tree and Crown Width Extraction by Band Combination Using Monthly Drone Images)

  • 공간해상도가 높은 드론 영상은 수목 밀도가 높은 지역에서 추출 한계를 갖는 기존 연구의 대안으로 떠오르고 있다. 본 연구에서는 드론 영상으로부터 수목이 우거진 산림 지역 내 수목 개체를 추출하였다. 영상 분할 과정을 거쳐서 추출되는 수목 개체 인식을 위해, DSM(digital surface model), 그리고 R, G, B 밴드 모두를 조합한 경우와 각각을 분리 조합한 경우의 영상 분할 결과를 비교하였다. 또한, 낙엽수림의 수목 우거짐의 변화를 시기별 영상별로 실험하였다. 3, 4, 5월 영상 중 숲이 울창한 5월의 경우 현지 측량한 나무를 기준으로 한 수목 개체 추출율은 50%로 나타났고, 수관폭 정확도 분석 결과 RMSE(root mean square error)가 1.5미터 이하로 가장 좋은 결과를 보였다. 실험지역의 추출은 중간 나무, 작은 나무 2가지 크기로 추출하였으며 작은 크기의 나무가 추출 정확도가 더 높았다. 이를 바탕으로 수고 추출을 하고, 수관폭과 흉고직경간의 관계식을 이용하여 흉고직경을 추정한다면, 임목재적 추정 및 산림바이오매스 추정까지 가능할 것으로 보인다.
