  • The novel <Call Center>, awarded the 6th Surim Literature Awards, is portraying five YZ generations who work at the call center, reveals their sorrows as irregular workers, defamation of character as a counselor, exploitation of labor and violence in the society of power trip. As of the commentaries of "precious literary truth produced by emotional labor" and "the sincere effort of the artist who tries to reach the truth of the youth of our time", this novel shows an aspect of our society, which the so-called <880,000 Won Generation> aiming for full-time employment, has been dissected by the author s microscope. In this article, we will approach the story of despair, hope, friendship, and love in the poor socio-economic environment faced by these twenties and thirties through sociological perspective not literary perspective. And then we are going to focus on the generational implication in their story of struggle. Analyzing literary works through generation theory presupposes a loot at the social function of literary works. This is why we paid attention to Call Center, and here is the message that Call Center gives. A society that neglects 'no power' socially and that tolerates the power trip of vested rights without control cannot be a healthy and just society. When the young generation is positioned as 'the leading role of the new era', not 'the social burden', such a society can be called a society with hope and bright future.
