The methodology of Six Sigma originated at Motorola in the early 1980s is nowadays proved to be an effective way in Improving the quality. Many companies find adding Six Sigma to their current business system gives them all or almost all the elements of total quality management(TQM). However most companies where Six Sigma is implemented confront many difficulties in non-manufacturing parts such as transactional and administrative processes. In this paper we discuss distinct aspects of such non-manufacturing process, and investigate activating scheme of Six Sigma in those parts of industry.

심장 탈장은 심낭을 열고 전폐절제술을 시행 후 드물게 발생되는 합병증으로 수술이 끝날때나 수술직후 발생된, 44세 남자환자에서 심낭을 열고 좌측 폐를 전절제술 후 심낭 결손부위를 인공조직으로 봉합하였다. 수술이 종료될 때 심장탈장이 발생되어 개흉에 의한 응급 복원을 시행하였으나 심한 저 산소성 뇌 손상이 발생되었다.

In this paper, an effective method for identifying influential main effects and interactions in the 2-level factorial designs is suggested by exploiting the resolution V designs developed by Kim(1992). For analysis of such designs, we employ the Bayesian approach for easy and clear identification of influential effects in the half normal probability plot.

Human sparganosis caused by Sparganum mansoni, the larval plerocercoid worm of the genus Spirometra, is not uncommon in Korea and is mostly found in subcutaneous or adipose tissue of the abdominal, thoracic wall and inguinal region, but is rarely found in the orbital cavity, brain and breast. It, at present, is a surgical disease because its diagnosis depends almost on the demonstration of the larva[e] from lesion or finding the worm section in surgical pathology specimens. We experienced a case of human sparganosis from a 48 years old woman who had a history of eating a raw frog. We report the case and review the related literatures.

It is known that an interesting and unusual axillary artery thrombosis may develop over a period of time if an improperly adjusted crutch impinges repeatedly on the axilla. A 39 year-old male developed occlusion of left axillary artery and gangrenes of the left fingers after he had used axillary crutch for 25 years because of limping of the left leg resulting from poliomyelitis. The left hand was salvaged by successful thrombectomy. We report this case, review and discuss the literatures.

세종기지 주변해역의 해수면 자료는 남극 해양환경을 연구하고 환경변화를 예측하는데 필수적이므로 자료를 지속적으로 획득할 목적으로 기지주변 수심 37.7 미터에 수압식 조위계를 설치하여 1991년 1월 24일 부터 자료를 수신하였으며 1991년 10월 14일 계기 유실전인 9월 30일까지 자료를 분석하였고 92년 1월 3일부터 1월 26일까지의 자료를 정리하였다.(중략)

2수준계 요인실험법에서 Kim(1992) 에 의해 균형배열을 이용하여 설계된 resolution V 포화균형부분실시법에서 추정량들의 공분산행렬을 계산하여 통계적 특성을 연구하였다. 이러한 부분실시법은 최소의 처리조합수를 가지고 주효과와 2인자 교호작용까지 분석할 수 있는 특징이 있다. 특히 본 논문에서는 인자의 수에 따라 설계가능한 8개의 부분실시법들간의 유사성과 통계적 효율성, 그리고 index number들의 변화에 따른 공분산행렬의 특성을 살펴보았다.

해저가 완만하게 변하는 해역 위를 지나는 파랑의 반사는 무시할 수 있으며 이에 대한 파랑계산 방법으로는 굴절 모델 (서 등, 1989)과 포물형 근사식 모델(서, 1990b)을 들 수 있다. 그러나 해저의 변화가 심해 상당량의 파랑에너지가 반사되는 경우에는 파랑 운동을 지배하는 원시 방정식인 Laplace을 사용하여야 한다.(중략)
