The Study of Foreign Tourist's Preference and Purchasing Behavior of Traditional Souvenir (외국인 관광객의 전통관광기념품 기호 및 구매행동 연구)

  • The purpose of this research is to study and understand the foreign tourist market's preferences and purchasing behaviors of Korean. Especially this study seeks to achieve this purpose by classifying the preferences and purchasing behaviors by nationality into general product. To confirm this research objective, data was collected with questionnaire method along with literature research. Targeting tourists from Japan, America, and China, the questionnaire survey examined their preferences for general color and design as well as the differences and commonality of their purchasing behaviors. As a result of examining foreign tourists' awareness of traditional tourist souvenir, the significant difference was shown by each country. Also, as for the purchasing behavior and preference for foreign tourists' traditional tourist souvenir, results indicated that Americans consider the element of geographical significance and value more than other groups of tourists. Resultantly, people have a different taste of souvenir in color, design, transform and so on by nationality.

Quality Properties of Yu-kwa by the Frying Time of Soybean Oil (콩기름의 가열시간별 유과의 품질 특성)

  • The effect of soybean oil on frying time and number of frying treatment on quality of Yu-kwa (Korean traditional rice cookie) were examined. As the frying time increased, acid value and POV were increased from 0.08 to 0.23 and 1.78, respectively. But the quality of Yu-kwa was not influenced by the frying time. And as the frying time increased, unsaturated fatty acid (oleic and linoleic acid) was decreased, while saturated fatty acid (palmitic acid) was increased. The color was drastically changed on frying oil which showed a dark brown color, but there was no difference in Yu-kwa. As the frying time increased, acceptability was decreased on sensory evaluation, but significant difference among samples tested within significant level 5 % was not revealed.

Analysis and Suggestion of the Classification Status of Korean Diaspora Literature (코리안 디아스포라 문학 자료 분류현황 분석 및 제언)

  • This study investigated Korean diaspora literature with the bilingual feature, which was published in a local language other than Korean, focusing on literature classification status in domestic library's materials. As a result of the investigation, domestic universities and public libraries that owned the diaspora literature materials were classifying the original work by the languages or focusing on the author's work. Nowadays, the Literature classification codes of KDC have on the language of the original work but no code on the author. Nevertheless, domestic libraries were classifying diaspora literature works by the author, not by the language of the original work, so that the same author's works were gathered in one place. This study proposes an option to classify "Korean national literature" that covers Korean diaspora literature and Korean literature into 810 of KDC to resolve the confusion in the classification of Korean diaspora literature. However, this option is a trial proposal for libraries with special needs for Korean diaspora literature classification, and further investigation and research will be necessary to apply this option.

조미 훈제굴 통조림의 제조 및 그 기호 특성

  • 굴은 년간 생산량이 20만톤 전후로 전체 패류 생산의 약52% 이상 점유하고 양식생산 비증서 90%를 상회함으로서 어업생산 및 어가 소득, 농어촌 지역의 고용 창출 효과 측면 외에도 남해안수산업 발전의 상징적 의미까지 내포한 중요한 수산자원이다. 굴 가공의 년간 생산량은 13,000톤 전후로 통조림과 냉동품의 생산 비중이 전체 굴가공품의 90% 이상을 점하며 가공품의 대부분이 수출되고 있으나 1990년대 중반부터 중국, 호주, 등 후발 개도국 및 자원부국과의 수출경쟁 심화로 새로운 기술 개발이 없을 경우 한국산 굴제품의 국제적 경쟁력 저하가 예상되는 등 지속적 수출시장 확보 노력이 필요한 상품이다.   • Recently the market environment surrounding business firms has been remarkably changed due to the increasing variety of consumption value and taste. On account of technological gap becoming narrower among business firms, the most important thing is for the soft value, such as that of emotional and subjective factors, in order for business firms to be able to create such strategic positioning, for which business firms should first look carefully into latent needs and values of the consumers. Since such products possessing those factors are able to supply the consumers with an appropriate value in attractive forms and meanings, new product development for the valuable products initiates a very important strategic action for securing the strategic positioning. The purpose of this paper is to study the strategic position and role of design in new product development strategy. Design has become the momentous competence of an enterprise in the most recent. Design performs its strategic role as a bridge between a business firm and the consumers. Consumers perceive value added by their purchase of products with attractive designs offered by business firms and, then, satisfy their emotional and subjective value with the products. This study, however, reviewed a new angle on the role of design as an implement for discovering consumers' latent needs and values which could be main factors for obtaining the strategic positioning. In other words, this study intended to suggest a new strategic role of design as value suppliers in new product development strategy for firms formulating and implementing their business strategies. For the new angle on the role of design, this study discussed a new approach of design strategy and intended to formulate its system first. And then, it suggested a general idea for strategic design analysis and its methodology, ethnography, as a strategic value creator. Finally, the suitability and usefulness of strategic design analysis for new product development strategy was discussed.

A study of the Implications of French vocabularies and the de-locality in LEE Sang's Poems (이상(李箱)의 시 작품에 구사되는 프랑스어와 탈 지방성)

  • This following research is a study on the use of French and de-locality in the modern Korean poet Lee Sang's poetry (1910-1937). His hometown was Kyung Sung, Seoul. He mainly wrote his works in Korean, Chinese character, and Japanese, using the language of education and his native language at that time. So then, what was the spirit that he wanted to embody through use of French words? By using words like "ESQUISSE", "AMOUREUSE", Sang's French was not a one-time use of foreign words intended to amuse, but to him the words were as meticulously woven as his intentions. French words were harmonized with other non-poetic symbols such as "${\Box}$, ${\triangle}$, ${\nabla}$", and described as a type of typographical hieroglyphics. Instead of his mother-tongue language, French was applied as a surrealistic vocabulary that implemented the moral of infinite freedom and imagination, and expressed something new or extrasensory. Subsequently, the de-localized French (words) in his poetry can be seen as poetic words to implement a "new spirit", proposed by western avant-garde artists. Analysis of French in his poetry, showed a sense of yearning for the scientific civilization, calling for his sense of defeat and escape from the colonized inferior native land. Most of all, comparing his pursuit of western civilization and avant-garde art to French used in his poetry, is regarded as world-oriented poetry intended to implement the new tendency of the "the locomotive of modernity," transcending the territory of the native country.

Design and Implementation for Presentation Animation Contents Based on the Mobile (모바일 기반의 표현 애니메이션 컨텐츠의 설계 및 구현)

  • The Korean animation has enjoyed the brisk formation and establishment of its world-class infra for the last several years without unified titles or concepts, under the name of a national strategic project in the age of digital image. It also enjoys its new evaluation as digital animation that it's one of the greatest money making business in the non-education and frivolous culture and has the closest relations with the modern time. A great portion of popular image media has been taken by animation for the last 30 years. In this paper we propose a motion algorithm using an animation technology. It was developed for education purposed and accessible through the internet. For instance, in Cyber Clam Museum, 1000 gesture contents, the visual processes were used to design a screen with a realistic image and create an animation that makes possible show at 360 and every such transformation as translation, rotation, and scaling can be applied in the image interactively for the convenient and effective viewing.

Effects of Intaking of Red Ginseng Products on Correlationship between Obesity and Blood Lipids (홍삼류의 섭취가 비만과 혈중 지질의 상호관계에 미치는 영향)

  • Obesity is the risk factor of atherosclerosis and not only increases triglyceride concentration in blood but also decreases relatively the ratio of TG to HDL-Cholesterol in blood. In case of obesity, systolic blood pressure is also increased in responding the increase of TG in blood. Index of obesity in red ginseng-taking group (ginseng group) was lower as compared with non-red ginseng-taking group (control group). The TG concentration, the ratio of triglyceride to HDL-cholesterol in blood and systolic blood pressure were decreased in the subjects of ginseng group compared with that in control group. It is inferred that long-term intake of ginseng products may help to prevent the risk of atherosclerosis and obesity.

A Survey of Protein Nutrition of Rural Adults in Korea and A Correlation between Their Protein Nutrition and Their Food Habits (농촌 성인 남녀의 단백질 섭취 실태 및 급원과 식습관, 기호품과의 관계)

  • The purpose of this study is to provide useful information which will aid in the promotion of nutritional policy in the Korean rural area which are derived from a survey of intake and source of protein in some Korean rural adults and the correlations between their protein nutrition and various nutrients, the uses of tobacco, alcohol, coffee, etc. The survey was conducted from July, 24 through July, 18, 1989. The healthy subjects were 45 males(average age 42.3, average BMI 22.1kg/m2) and 55 females (44 years, 21.2 kg/m2) residing in Sungjoo Kyun, Chulanam-Do, Korea. The subjects were examined for the anthropometric, food Intake and food habits. Their daily diets were measured by 24-hr recall method. The results can be summarized as follows : The daily mean protein intakes of male and female subjects were 9595 of RDA(66, 5g) (16. 7% of total food intake per day) and 102.3Bh of RDA(61g) (14.8% of total intake per day) respectively. The order of sources of animal protein in all subjects was fish(47.9%), meat(29.8%), milk (12%), and egg(10.3%). Among protein sources the intake frequencies of fork and chicken were higher than those of others. The protein nutrition of the subjects showed positive correlations with energy and fat, carbohydrate, fiber at the level of significance of 1%. The protein nutrition of the male subjects showed no correlation with age, BMI, uses of alcohol, coffee, medicine, but the plant protein nutrition showed a positive correlation with smoking and exercise(at 5%). And the protein nutrition of the male subjects showed no correlations with uses of tobacco, alcohol, coffee, medicine and their opinion of their present state of their health, but the age of the male subjects showed negative correlations with milk(at 1%) and egg(at 5%). In conclusion, the daily protein Intake was good and the main sources of animal protein were fishes in rural adults. The protein nutrition of the subjects showed a correlation with energy, fat, carbohydrate and in the case of female, milk and egg intakes showed the negative correlation with age.

세계 담배관련 규제정책의 동향과 전망

  • 담배는 오랜 과거부터 규제의 주요 대상이 되어 왔다. 1950년대 이전까지만 해도 담배관련 규제는 담배의 생산 및 제조활동과 함께 윤리 또는 규범적 차원에서 주로 이루어져 왔으나, 1950년대 초 이후부터 흡연의 건강 위해성에 관한 연구가 본격화되고 건강에 대한 공중의 관심이 확산되면서 담배와 흡연에 대한 사회적·법적 규제가 크게 강화되어 왔다고 할 수 있다. 담배산업이 그 동안 지속적인 성장을 하는 가운데에서도 담배와 흡연에 대해 강도 높은 규제가 가해져 온 이유는 담배가 성인들의 기호품으로써 보편화 된데 반해 건강 위해적 요소들을 내재하고 있고, 담배의 높은 수익가치로 인해 담배의 생산 및 판매가 정부의 재정사업으로 관할됨에 따라 정보에 의한 강력한 통제가 불가피했기 때문이라 할 수 있다. 세계 각 국에서 적용되고 있는 담배에 대한 일반적인 규제유형으로는 크게 흡연(smoking) 규제와 판매 및 촉진활동(sales & promotion) 규제, 경고문 부착(labeling)에 관한 규제, 그리고 진입 및 무역(entry & trade) 규제 등으로 구분될 수 있다. 한국의 경우는 전통적으로 흡연에 대해 매우 관대한 태도가 유지되어 왔으나, 95년도 중반 이후 국민건강 증진법 등의 규제법률이 제정·시행되면서 제도적·정책적 규제가 크게 강화되어 현재는 세계 최상위 수준을 유지하고 있다고 할 수 있다. 이러한 가운데 99년 5월 이후, 담배에 대한 표준화된 규제지침의 설정과 강화를 통해 궁극적으로 세상에서 담배를 근절시키고자 하는 목적 하에서 세계보건기구(WHO)의 주 역점사업으로서 추진되고 있는 담배규제협약(FCTC)은 담배에 대한 규제가 초국가적 차원으로 발전되는 계기를 제공하고 있다. 향후, 담배규제협약안의 세부사안들에 대한 합의과정에서 각 국별로 상당한 이견과 반발이 예상되고 있지만, 협약안의 전체 회원국 투표에서 승인될 경우 각 국가들뿐만 아니라 담배산업과 담배기업들에게 미치는 파급효과가 매우 클 것으로 예상된다. 대부분의 국제협약들이 그러하듯이, 담배규제협약도 그 적용 범위와 수준이 어느 정도로 결정되는지에 따라 각 국가와 기업별 이해관계가 크게 달라지게 되기 때문에 신중한 대응전략이 요구된다고 하겠다.
