'Insider trading' refer to obtaining information from non-public sources such as private acquaintances about trade secret, using it purposes of enhancing insider's financial advantages. And sometimes such a practice can be conducted fraudulently. Therefore, the focus of this paper will be on fairness or justice arguments against insider trading. And all kinds of discussion this paper are to focus the underlying consideration behind these arguments, that is, the underlying consideration about violation of ethical standards of fairness. First, one of these arguments argues that insider trading does necessarily involve defrauding general investors such as general employees, general stockholders. And economic power and unjust advantage of insider can be exercised to the detriment of this non-insider's interests. Second, another argument argues that insider trading undermines competition which is the principle of any free market. And insider trading is not only a complication in the free market mechanism, but also thwarts free competition which free markets depend. Third, the final argument argues that insider trading will be made something unfair about the concept of equal access to information. This argument argues, therefore, that to permit insider trading would be to set up stock market trading rules that are unfair to non-insiders.

  • With frequent incidents of unethical practices and acts in organizations, organizational leaders need to understand some of the causes that facilitate such negative organizational behaviors to lessen the chances of unethical behaviors from occurring. In an effort to understand some of the causes of unethical behavior, this study looks at competitive atmosphere and results-focused performance evaluation as some of the influencing factors on employees' tendency to decide to behave unethically. Competition culture can spur unethical behavior and evaluation culture with emphasis on results-focused which can create a perception among employees of a narrow view of work and how it is defined. The argument of this paper is that such characteristics can create environment for unethical behaviors and serve as an added push upon employees to choose to behave unethically. Collection of survey results from those working in Busan area were used to test the hypotheses using regression. Data analysis showed that in organizational atmosphere that is overly competitive and results-focused can influence employees to behave unethically. Implications and future research suggestions are discussed in conclusions.

  • According to the results of the FKI's ethical management status and CSR promotion status, about 95% of domestic companies enact the Code of Ethics, while 64% of companies operating systems for communication and dialogue with stakeholders in the process of CSR activities, It seems that strategic CSR activities of domestic companies have not been fully established yet compared with the introduction of ethical management. Even if companies conduct CSR activities strategically, there is very little CSR level of the companies that consumers perceive. This is because the psychological mechanism of CSR on consumers' perceptions is too complicated and detailed, resulting in a positive result and a negative result depending on the investigator's research method. So far, there have been many studies on the direct impact of CSR on corporate evaluation, purchase intention, and corporate image. However, there are few studies on the effect of CSR and CA on purchase intention through product attitude. Therefore, The purpose of this study is to demonstrate the effect of corporate social responsibility(CSR) and corporate Ability(CA) on the purchase intention through product attitudes perceived by consumers, and the moderating effect of corporate reputation between product attitude and purchase intention. As a research method, we selected 4 companies, such as Samsung etc, who have been conducting CSR for the past 10 years, as a sample. The relationship between the CSR and the corporate competence of these companies on purchasing intention was examined through questionnaires for general consumers. The results of this study show that CSR and CA have a positive effect on product attitude, and consumers' product attitude has a positive effect on purchase intention. In addition, CSR and CA were found to have a positive (+) effect on purchase intention through consumer attitude. Finally, it is found that the reputation of the firm has a moderating effect on the relationship between consumer's product attitude and purchase intention. This study suggests that CSR should be strategically promoted in order to positively shape the attitude of consumers toward products of companies and their companies. As a theoretical implication, this study showed that the effect of CSR activities and CA on consumer's product attitude and purchase intention, centered on mediating effects of product attitude and corporate reputation discrimination.

  • This study examined the influence of ethical leadership on employee job satisfaction and the mediating role of employee engagement in the relationship between these two variables. In this study, employee engagement was divided into job engagement and organization engagement. Data were collected from 183 employees working for Korean companies. The results of this study are as follows. First, it was found that ethical leadership was positively related to both job engagement and organization engagement. Second, ethical leadership was also positively related to job satisfaction of employees. Third, job engagement and organization engagement were found to partially mediate the relationship between ethical leadership and job satisfaction respectively. The results of this study suggest a theoretical contribution in that it expanded existing studies on the relationship between ethical leadership and job satisfaction. This study is significant in that it revealed a mechanism that ethical leadership directly affects job satisfaction in the relationship between ethical leadership and job satisfaction, but indirectly positively affects employee engagement variables such as job engagement and organization engagement. The results of this study also suggest practical implications that CEOs should strive to help organizational managers demonstrate ethical leadership. In addition, the results of this study suggest practical implications that managers and human resource development experts need to seek ways to increase the level of engagement of employees in the organization. Finally, this study presented limitations to be revised and supplemented in future studies and future research directions.
