The Impact to Technological Competitiveness of SMEs According to the Type of Subcontracting (대.중소기업간 하도급유형에 따른 중소기업의 기술경쟁력 영향 분석)

  • This study investigated how the relationship between subcontracting affects the SMEs technology in order to strengthen the competitiveness of SMEs. Depending on the trading characteristics and structural characteristics, SMEs are separated into four types that dependent, peripheral-type cooperative, stand-alone. The impacts to technological competitiveness were measured, depending on the type of SME. The results show that SMEs technology competitiveness associated companies type are cooperation and stand-alone. We had confirmed that stand-alone type has high competitiveness through the technical support policy.

  • 본 연구는 중소기업의 자금흐름특성과 기타 재무특성이 대기업의 그것과 어떤 차이를 갖는가를 살펴보고, 중소기업의 재무경쟁력을 규명하는데 그 목적을 두고 있다. 본 연구에서는 차입시장에서의 재무경쟁력은 실질유효이자율과 대출효율성계수를 기준으로 하였으며, 주식시장에서의 재무경쟁력은 자기자본비용과 주당 EVA를 기준으로 하였다. 그리고 본 연구에서는 연구목적을 달성하기 위해 MANOVA검정과 패널 자료를 이용한 일반화 최소자승법을 사용하였다. 중소기업의 단기 운전자금 사정은 대기업에 비해 열악하며, 재무경쟁력 역시 뒤떨어지는 것으로 나타났다. 다시 말해서 중소기업의 영업수익성은 대기업에 비해 오히려 좋으나, 차입시장 및 주식시장에서의 재무경쟁력은 상대적으로 낮은 것으로 밝혀졌다. 중소기업의 차입시장에서의 재무경쟁력을 결정하는 요인으로는 재무위험(-), 영업수익성(+), 유동성(+), 담보력(+) 등이 있었다. 그리고 중소기업의 주식시장에서의 재무경쟁력을 결정하는 요인으로는 재무위험(-), 영업위험(-), 영업수익성(+), 유동성(+), 성장성(+)등이 있었다.

A Study on the Evaluation of Competitiveness for Container Terminal Operators (컨테이너터미널 운영사의 기업경쟁력 평가에 관한 연구)

  • As the annual growth rate of port handling container volume in Korea has faced slowdown, this paper attempts to find strategies for the domestic container terminal operators in order to enhance competitiveness. For this, the model of using AHP and the fuzzy set theory is used for evaluating competitiveness between domestic and global container terminal operators. The evaluation model hierarchy is developed based on SERM(subject-environment-resource-mechanism) theory of business strategy. The results show domestic operators are ranked lower than global player so that they particularly pay attention to the areas of scale of economy, business diversification, and globalization strategy.

  • This paper investigates the role of corporate entrepreneurship for enhancing a firm's market orientation and competence. It distinguishes exploitive competence enhancement from explorative competence enhancement. The results reveal that corporate entrepreneurship influences both exploitive competence enhancement and explorative competence enhancement. Interestingly, among the components of market orientation, competitor orientation plays key roles, facilitating interfunctional coordination, and thus increasing exploitive competence enhancement and explorative competence enhancement. However, customer orientation affects only explorative competence enhancement.

  • This study is an empirical analysis completed based on a survey of the members of major construction companies and is analyzed to verify the relationship between the ethical characteristics of major construction companies and firm's competitiveness and its effects. In this study, based on previous researches in domestic and foreign, the factors that are affected by the business ethics were analyzed, and the competitiveness of firms, which is a dependant variable, was divided into four different types: quality, price, sales, and promotion. The proposal and final conclusion regarding the relationship between job satisfaction and concentration was made after the investigation of research hypothesis. The conclusions described below:(By the Linear regression analysis) 1. The product competitiveness is affected by moral competence, will to act ethical management, transparency of fairness, customers, and social responsibility. 2. The price competitiveness is affected by will to act ethical management, transparency of fairness, customers, and social responsibility.

  • Climate change and related policies and regulations influence the performance of the firms in various ways. Climate change influences corporate competitiveness through physical impacts, GHG regulations, changes in asset values, demand shift, etc. Therefore, corporate competitiveness could be maintained by reducing vulnerability to climate change and adapting to new circumstances. Without effective responses to the challenges, the firms would have difficulties in maintaining their competitiveness in the market and the cost of national economy will significantly increase as well. Even though it seems fairly easy to understand the meaning of competitiveness, deriving the driving forces of and measuring changes in competitiveness are complicated and disputable processes. A common way to overcome it is to develop a 'competitiveness index'. The objective of this study is to derive the main factors influencing corporate competitiveness related to climate change and develop 'competitiveness index' reflecting those factors. The index will make contribution to enhance the response capacity of the firms to climate change and increase the effectiveness of climate change policies for the industry by providing a quantitative tool to measure the changes in corporate competitiveness related to climate change.

  • This paper analyzes the relationship between organizational development culture, intra-organizational trust, and communication and their influence on corporate competitiveness. The research model is composed that development culture has a positive effect on trust and communication, and that trust and communication have a positive effect on corporate competitiveness. The data for the analysis were integrated at the company level (510 companies) and used the data of 9,053 employees collected in the 1st survey of the Human Capital Company Panel(HCCP II) of the Korea Research Institute for Vocational Education and Training(KRIVET). For corporate competitiveness, responses to 10 factors for internal process capability and customer service capability were used. The structural equation model was employed to analyze the research model. As a result of the analysis, development culture had a positive effect on organizational trust and communication. And trust and communication were found to have a positively effect on corporate competitiveness. In the indirect effect analysis through bootstrapping, the development culture did not show indirect effects through trust and communication, so only direct effects between development culture, trust and communication, and corporate competitiveness could be confirmed.

  • Korea's spatial information companies have been supported by the government due to overcome the weak global competitiveness. This research examines possible causality between the request from the company and the policy support by the government. Structural equation model is used to analyze the recognized competitiveness and the supporting policy. The analysis result shows no statistically significant causality between the company's request and government's support. In other words, the current policies including subsidies, tax incentives, national certificates, and information channels do not impact the global competitiveness of a spatial information company. This research concludes that it is necessity to identify actual weaknesses of the company and to review the efficiency of the supporting policies to overcome those identified weaknesses.
