Influence Rate Estimation of Gearpair on the Rattle Vibration and Counterplan Suggestion for Reduction of Gear Vibration (기어쌍의 래틀진동에 대한 영향도 평가 및 기어 진동 저감을 위한 대책 제시)

  • In recent year, as the demand about low vibration and noise vehicle is increased constantly. automobile companies try to a lot of things to achieve this demand. Gear rattle vibration become an emergency problem to be cured at idling. There are two kinds method to reduce idle gear rattle vibration One is optimization of clutch damper design parameters(stiffness, hysteresis torque, preload, length of lst stage) the other is system parameters modification(inertia, drag torque, backlash, etc) But these methods are impossible to estimate influence rate of each gearpair on the idle gear rattle vibration. In this study, 14degrees of freedom nonlinear model is developed to analyze influnce rate of each gearpair on the idle gear rattle vibration and the counterplan to reduce the gear noise is suggeted through the shift system modification.

  • A method of establishing the tooth modification for gear transmission of vehicles to reduce gear whine noise, caused by tooth impact phenomenon of mating gear, is introduced. The major causes of tooth impact are due to the deflections of gear teeth and shafts of transmission with the loaded condition including various kinds of manufacturing errors. The theoretical shape of tooth surface to avoid tooth impact is derived by the amount of elastic deformation of gear teeth and shaft and overall manufacturing error of machine tool. The surface function is converted with respect to the conventional commercial data usually communicated to the gear inspection system. The proposed method is applied to the gearbox of four wheel drive vehicle and shows the gear whine noise decreased to the 8 dB in the sound level.

  • 본 논문은 자동변속기를 탑재한 차량에서 에어콘(air condition)을 작동시키고, 공 회전시 기어의 변속을 "D"단에 두었을 때 실내에서 발생하는 이상음의 원인규명 및 해결 방 법에 관한 연구 결과를 논하고자 한다. 이 이상한 소음의 원인을 규명하기 위하여 실린더 내부의 연소압력, 메인 베어링캡(main bearing cap)의 진동, 엔진 마운팅 보스의 진동 및 차 량의 실내소음을 동시에 측정하여 분석하였으며 이 결과에 의하면 이상음의 원인은 크랭크 샤프트(crank shaft)의 굽힘진동이 파워플랜트(power plant)를 가진하여 진동을 증가시키고, 이 진동이 마운팅 보스를 통하여 차량의 차체에 전달되며, 차체의 진동에 의해서 발생하는 고체 전달음(structure-borne noise)이었다. 또한 이상음의 주기는 주파수 성분은 200-400Hz 이었다. 이 이상음은 크랭크 샤프트의 댐퍼 풀리의 질량을 저감하여 크랭크 샤프트의 동특 성을 개선함으로서 해결가능하고, 혹은 점화시기를 지연하여 연소 압력을 낮춤으로서 해결 가능하다.

Performance of CVTs Composed of a Differential Gear Unit and a V-belt Drive (차동기어장치와 V-벨트식 변속기구를 결합한 무단변속기의 성능)

  • Continuously variable transmission (CVT) mechanisms considered here combine the functions of a K-H-V type differential gear unit and a V-belt type continuously variable unit (CVU). As combining the functions of a K-H-V type differential gear unit and a V-belt type CVU, 24 different mechanisms are presented. Some useful theoretical formula related to speed ratio, power flow and efficiency are derived and analyzed. These mechanisms have many advantages which are the decrease of CVT size, the increase of overall efficiency, the extension of speed ratio range, and the generation of geared neutral.

  • 지속적인 고령화 추세에 따라 여성과 고령층의 노동력이 차지하는 비율이 높아지고 있어, 사용하기 편리한 소형농기계의 요구가 증가하고 있는 실정이다. 본 연구에서 사용한 소형 관리기는 정식 작업 전 경운, 정지 등 다양한 작업이 가능한 농기계이다. 본 연구에서는 소형 관리기에 토크 측정 시스템을 구성하였으며, 작업 중 가장 큰 부하를 받는 구굴 작업 부하를 측정하였다. 또한, 작업 시 가장 직접적으로 영향을 받는 PTO (Power Take Off) 기어의 부하 용량(load capacity)을 기어 해석 소프트웨어를 이용하여 분석하였다. PTO 기어의 부하 용량은 안전율, 피로수명을 대상으로 평가하였다. 측정된 부하 데이터는 변동 하중이므로, 부하 크기와 빈도수의 규칙적인 신호로 단순화하기 위하여 레인플로우 카운팅 방법을 사용하였으며, SWT (Smith-Watson-Topper) 방법을 이용하여 공칭 토크를 계산하였다. PTO 기어의 안전율은 ISO 6336, 피로 수명은 마이너 법칙(Miner rule)을 이용하여 계산하였다. PTO의 변속 단수 총 2단이며, 5개의 스퍼 기어로 구성되어 있다. 시뮬레이션 결과, 소형 관리기의 주행 속도 또는 PTO의 회전속도 증가에 따라 PTO에서 발생하는 평균 부하가 크게 나타났다. 또한 주행 단수 및 PTO 기어 단수가 증가할수록 기어의 안전율과 피로 수명이 감소하였으며, 특히 PTO 기어의 안전율은 접촉 응력에서의 안전율보다 굽힘 응력에서의 안전율이 급격하게 감소하였다. 소형 관리기의 PTO 수명은 주행 단수 2단, PTO 단수 2단 일 때 가장 적게 나타났다. 따라서 소형 관리기의 주행 속도와 PTO 회전 속도를 저속으로 작업하는 것이 PTO 기어의 수명에 더 유리할 것으로 판단된다.

  • Transmission of a tracked vehicle designed for multiple functions such as steering, gear-shifting, and braking is a core component of heavy vehicle to which the power is transferred based on combined technology of various gears, bearing, and fluid machineries. Robustness and durability of transmission, however, have been issued due to a large number of driving units and sub-components inside its body. The bevel gears are major components for the transmission of power in a transmission. Increasing the tooth surface roughness and chamfering of the bevel gears, especially, we aim to improve the quality of transmission. In this study, design structural evaluation is conducted on bevel gears of transmission for tracked vehicle using the ROMAX-DESIGNER program. By doing so, design safety of the bevel gears has been evaluated based on the gear strength theory of ANSI/AGMA 2003 B97 standard.

  • This study investigated the effect of the changes in metal characteristics due to the hot forging on SCR420HB applied to ensure the optimal production of the hot-forging ratio on the mechanical properties of an automotive automatic transmission gear. The microstructural changes in the forging ratio were investigated by adjusting the forging range into multiple ranges from alloy steel. This was done in order to set the optimum forging range given the manufacturing process conditions during the hot forging of alloy steel parts with a carbon content of more than 0.8% wt. The effects of the content change in the microstructure on the mechanical properties due to the use of the part were examined.

  • In this paper, we analyze the power flow of an eight-speed automatic transmission by using a lever analogy for the manufacturing of planetary gears. The results indicate that the engine power is passed down to the carrier and ring gear in the first double pinion planetary gear (DPPG1), and to the sun gear, carrier, and ring gear in DPPG3 for the first speed. Although the power flow is similar in the second speed, the power circulation occurs in the second single pinion planetary gear (SPPG2). For the third speed, the engine power is passed from the carrier to the ring gear in DPPG, at which point the power is split between the sun gears of SPPG2 and DPPG3.

Structural Safety and Critical Speed Analysis of 2-Speed Shift Reducer (2속 변속 감속기의 구조 안전성 분석과 위험속도 해석)

  • The structure and operating principle of the 2-speed shift reducer were explained, the allowable bending stress value of the material was compared with the analysis result through FM structural analysis program, and the average stress distribution value of von Mises was performed on the gear root atmosphere. The structural safety of the 2-speed planetary gear reducer was verified through FM structural analysis. The natural frequency was calculated by applying the specifications of the planetary gears of the 2-speed gearbox, and the critical speed of resonance was calculated by calculating the natural frequency and the transmission error of the engaged gear pair. As a result of analyzing the critical speed, since it is formed higher than the actual operating speed range, it is considered safe because there is no resonance problem due to the suggested specifications of the planetary gears of the 2-speed shift reduction.
