Quantitative Study on Threshold Condition of Critical Non-propagating Crack (임계정류피로크랙의 하한계 전파조건의 정량적 고찰)

  • Since the propagation of a short fatigue crack is directly related to the large crack which causes the fracture of bulk specimen, the detailed study on the propagation of the short crack is essential to prevent the fatigue fracture. However, a number of recent studies have demonstrated that the short crack can grow at a low applied stress level which are predicted from the threshold condition of large crack. In present study, the threshold condition for the propagation of short fatigue crack is examined with respect to the micro-structure and cyclic loading history. Specimens employed in this study were decarburized eutectoid steels which have various decarburized ferrite volume fraction. Rotating bending fatigue test was carried out on these specimens with the special emphasis on the "critical non-propagating crack length" It is found that the reduction of the endurance limit of their particular micro-structures can be due to the increase of the length of critical non-propagating crack, and the quantitative relationship between the threshold stress ${\sigma}_{wo}$ and the critical non-propagating crack length $L_c$ can be written as ${\sigma}_{wo}{^m}{\cdot}L_c=C$ where m,C is constant. Further experiments were carried out on cyclic loading history on the length of critical non-propagating crack. It shown that the length of critical non-propagating crack is closely related to cyclic loading history.

  • As a rapidly progressing of globalization and real time Prcessing in market, Korea's IT is developing, which is aimming at world market. In addition, propagation of cultivation is forming natually by lead to CT in the Asia. Latest in '90's hallyu(korean culture wave) was generated from in the east-north China province and moved to the east south Asia. It is also spreading form TV drama, music to movie, game, food, fashion and so on. This paper analyzed the outcome related with hallyu and IT innovation in knowledge-based economic society. It also addressed some effective strategies for advancing world market incorporating hallyu waves into IT.

  • 새로운 세기를 맞이하면서 이제 새삼 IT(Information Technology: 정보기술)가 주목을 받고 있다. 급속한 기세로 세계에 퍼진 인터넷이 정보의 흐름과 ''물건''의 움직임을 크게 바꾸려 하고 있기 때문이다. 외출지나 자동차 등의 이동환경에서도 휴대전화를 통하여 언제든지, 어디서나, 간단하게 인터넷 접속이 가능하게 되어 바야흐로 시간과 공간을 초월한 본격적인 네트워크사회를 맞이하려 하고 있다. 모바일 단말과 정보통신인프라의 발전은 네트워크에 의한 정보취득이나 전자상거래 등의 새로운 정보서비스를 창출하여 라이프사이클의 변화도 일으키고 있다. 한편 자동차를 둘러싼 정보통신환경은 카 내비게이션 등의 차재 정보단말과 함께 발전해가고 있다. FM다중, 광비컨, 전파비컨을 통한 VICS(Cehicle Information and Communication Systems: 도로교통정보통신 시스템)와 휴대전화를 통한 인터넷 접속, 자동차를 위한 정보제공서비스는 이미 실용화되고, 특히 노차간 통신전용 DSRC(Dedicated Short Range Communication: 협성통신)를 통해 유료도로에서 요금을 자동으로 징수하는 ETC(Electronic Toll Collection: 자동요금 징수시스템)의 실용화가 임박하고 있다. 앞으로는 IMT-2000(International Mobile Telecommunications-2000) 차세대휴대전화와 디지털방송서비스 등 보다 더 새로워진 정보통신 고속화$\cdot$고품질화가 기대되고 있으며, 이것들을 조합한 복합미디어에 의해 가까운 장래에는 차내에서도 다양한 정보제공서비스를 받아서 누릴 수 있을 것으로 생각된다.

  • The primary objective of this study is to develope an investigating method to identify spatial variability of plumes and contaminants at contaminated sites. The electrical resistivity method was used to characterize contaminated sites. This technique is expected to use actively at contaminated sites in order to remedy the contaminated sites in the future. It was studied by appling electrical resistivity method into contaminated wastes disposal sites and verified that it was suitable method for the contaminated site characterization.

Signal Coverages of DGPS Beacon Stations in Korea (우리나라 DGPS 보정국의 위치보정신호의 이용범위)

  • For the purpose of comparison between the designed coverage and actual coverage of Korean DGPS (Differential Global Position System) beacon stations, we have received the ship‘s positions with states and IDs of their stations on the navigation route of Jeju-Tianjin by automatic selection mode of DGPS receiver and on them of Jeju-Inchun and Jeju-Vladibostok by manual mode. Also in case that some obstructions were on propagation routes from DGPS beacon stations to receiving positions, a restriction on available ranges of DGPS beacon signals was investigated. The results obtained are as follows : 1. The coverage of Korean DGPS beacon stations was designed 100NM (Nautical mails) at 40.0dB(over ${\mu}$V/m). But the actual coverages of them according to their stations and propagation routes were 0.3-3.6 times as wide as designed coverage. 2. In case that the propagation route of beacon signals from DGPS beacon stations was on the sea, the propagation distance of north direction from the stations was longer than south direction. 3. The coverages of Echongdo and Ulungdo stations were 366NM on the yellow sea and 342.3NM on the east sea of Korea respectively, and were widest than any other stations. 4. The coverage of Marado station on the south and yellow seas of Korea was very unstable because of the Halla mountain on the propagation route. Maximum receiving range to be measured by automatic selection mode of DGPS receiver was 145NM on the route of Jeju-Tianjin on June 22-July 1, 2002. Minimum receiving range to be not measured by manual selection mode was 28.7NM on the route of Jeju-Inchun on June 26-28, 2003

  • 그동안 업무 전산화 차원에서 정보화를 추진해 오던 대학들이 최근 디지털 캠퍼스 구축의 일환으로 온라인 학사행정 시스템, 모바일 캠퍼스, 전자도서관 등을 잇따라 선보이며 정보화 영역을 넓히고 있다. 이러한 유비쿼터스의 대열에서 핵심기술로 전파식별(RFID, Radio Frequency IDentification)과 함께 U-센서네트워크가 두각을 나타내고 있다. 본 논문에서는 현재 두각을 나타내고 있는 RFID태그 시스템을 기반으로 ERP를 도입한 행정업무의 통합시스템 구축 및 디지털 도서관 시스템, 다양한 서비스 제공이 가능한 스마트카드 시스템 등 U-캠퍼스 구축을 위한 통합관리시스템 모텔을 제안하고자 한다. 통합관리시스템은 교육기관의 노동집약적이던 시스템에서 벗어나 투명하고 효율적인 행정관리와 원스톱 서비스 제공을 통해 보다 질 높은 교육환경을 제공할 수 있으며 사용자는 요구와 환경에 맞는 개인화$\cdot$지식화된 지능형 교육 서비스를 받을 수 있다.

  • In the past, companies concentrated their efforts on developing new technologies and producing new products. But new technologies in this information age do not make difference any more comparing to other companies. In this marketing environment, a company must appeal strongly their own image to the customers' brains to make better difference than other companies do. One of the best way to make their own image in the customer's brains might be outgrowing themselves of the one-way communication such as the printed-media or broadcast-media and preparing some space such as advertisement halls or pavilions where customers and companies meet each other and make mutual communications between both of them. Therefore, we need to study systematically on the design elements in the advertisement halls or pavilions. To begin with, we should lully understand the basic idea by looking up the reference literature. We case-studied on the basic of constructive elements of advertise halls of both SAMSUNG and LG Electronics Co. The purpose of this study is to realize that we can transfer effectively the company's image to the customers only if we fully understand company's business philosophy and vision in advance to start design the advertisement hails. We should also realize that it is also important to manage systematically the company's design strategic elements' to achieve its changing goals in more logical and scientifically way.
