This study aims to suggest a management system consisting of functional ingredients by establishing guidelines for the analysis of functional animal products in Korea. Further, the guidelines can be used for validity tests of functional animal products. In addition, we can standardize the management system for details, and frame new laws for functional animal products. We researched the current studies on the analysis and assessment of functional foods, and established standard methods of analysis. We devised new analysis and assessment techniques to determine the efficacy and safety of functional ingredients for the legislation and management of functional animal products. This study may contribute to not only the safety and quality of functional animal products but also to enhancing the nation's health and the national image as being health-oriented, through improvements in the productivity and quality of functional animal products.

식품의 생리(약리)기능인 3기능의 강조는 인류에게 건강한 삶을 보장해 줄 것이라는 믿음을 주고 있고 인류 장수의 길을 한층 더 활기차게 끌고 갈 수 있는 원동력이 될 것으로 기대하고 있다. 세계시장의 움직임은 이러한 믿음이 이미 현실에서 나타나고 있음을 보여준다. 이미 식품 관련 분야의 대기업, 다국적 유통업체 및 제약업체도 적극적인 건강식품 시장참여 의사를 밝히고 있다. 이러한 국내외의 움직임을 반영하여 우리나라도 2002년 8월 26일 건강기능식품에 관한 법률을 공포하였다. 본 법률은 '건강기능 식품의 안전성 확보 및 품질향상과 건전한 유통, 판매질서를 확립하면서도 국민의 건강증진과 소비자보호에 이바지하기 위한' 것으로 2003년 8월 26일 부터 시행되었다. 건강기능식품은 국가의 의료비를 절감하고 국민의 건강 수준을 향상시키는 좋은 도구이다. 이와 같은 목표 달성을 위해서 해당 식품의 안전성과 유효성이 과학적으로 증명되어야 한다. 본 고에서는 건강기능식품 법률 시행을 맞이하여 국내의 관련 법령, 외국의 관리 체계 및 시장동향 등을 소개하고자 한다.

Many food companies cooperate with the existing food until it reaches from the start of the 90s recently. which began to develop suitable new functional foods in the characteristic of each product So that consumers' consciousness may also get interested in the functional foods with which a as specific ingredient and as specific as possible are expected while the expectation for health and a long life becomes high. from which it consisted of and the propriety of functionality became the important point of a new-product-development strategy. A packing design also takes the advantage of development of such functional foods. therefore the seen research, with general consideration of such functional foods Who is going to investigate to the product communication-of-information method and differentiation strategy of more desirable functional foods by analyzing and seeing the functional characteristics which each product has to the fermented milk enjoyed and drunk, and these expression strategies.

최근 의학의 진보에 따라 체격이나 평균수명은 향상되었으나 다수의 사람들이 특별한 질병의 상태가 아니면서 건강하지도 않은 반쪽 건강 상태에 있으며, 암, 동맥경화, 심장질환, 고혈압, 당뇨병, 간질환 및 만성 위장병의 증가가 문제시 되고 있다. 이들 질병의 예방이 식생활과 밀접한 관련이 있다는 사실이 알려지면서 식품의 영양소와 기호성 이외에 기능성, 건강지향성을 재인식하게 되었으며, 건강한 식생활이 건강관리의 한 방법으로 자리를 차지하게 되었다. 따라서 올바른 식품과 영양에 대한 지식이 일상의 식생활에 적극적으로 반영되면서 많은 사람들이 식원병을 예방하고 건강을 유지할 수 있을 것이다. 본 보고에서는 양과 질의 측면에서 영양학적으로 우수한 특성을 갖거나 민간전승적으로 건강에 좋으며, 식품의 과학적 효과가 입증된 대표적인 농산물의 종류와 활용에 대하여 살펴보았다.

식품의약품안전청은 수입식품등 검사지침(식품의약품안전청 고시 제2007-42호, 2007. 6. 27)과 수입건강기능 식품 신고 및 검사세부처리규정(식품의약품안전청 고시 제2007-43호, 2007. 6. 27)을 발표했다. 관련내용은 판매를 목적으로 하거나 영업상 사용하기 위해 수입하는 식품, 식품첨가물, 기구 및 용기포장의 검사에 관한 세부지침과 수입건강기능식품의 신고 및 검사에 관한 세부처리규정을 정해 검사업무의 형평성, 공정성, 신속성, 효율성을 위해 개정고시하였다. 본란에서는 관련 고시내용 전문을 게재함으로서 식품제조업체 및 식품등수입 판매업자등의 이해를 돕고자 한다.
