Variation and Heredity of Stomatal Frequency, Stomatal Size and Transpiration in Populus alba × P. glandulosa and Its Parents (Populus alba × P. glandulosa 및 교배양친수(交配兩親樹)의 기공빈도(氣孔頻度), 기공(氣孔)크기 및 수분증산(水分蒸散)의 변이(變異)와 유전(遺傳))

  • The good growth of Populus alba ${\times}$ P. glandulosa is shown at the foothill of the mountain where good soil moisture is available, but its growth is poor at the upper part of the mountain where soil moisture is limitted. Stomatal frequency, stomatal size and transpiration rates that affect soil moisture demand were determined in order to know how this character is inherited from its parents. Number of stomata per $mm^2$, length and width of stomata from the abaxial leaf and transpiration rate ($g/cm^2$) per day in P. alba ${\times}$ P. glandulosa showed intermediate values between those of their parents, while P. alba showed the highest values and P. davidiana the lowest values. The values of stomatal frequency of P. alba ${\times}$ P. glandulosa were close to the expected mean values of parents in the $x^2$ test, and in the regression analysis the transpiration rates for the hybrid and its midparent had strong relationship with 0.97 of regression coefficient. The fact that these intermediate characteristics were observed in the hybrid suggests incomplete dominance in the hybrid. It is concluded that soil moisture demand in P. alba ${\times}$ P. glandulosa and its parents is closed related to stomatal frequency, stomatal size and transpiration rate.

  • A dual-porosity filmed agglomerate model for the porous cathode of the molten carbonate fuel has been investigated to predict the cell performance. A phenomenological treatment of molecular, kinetic and electrode parameters has been given. The major physical and chemical phenomena being modeled include mass transfer, ohmic losses and reaction kinetics at the electrode- electrolyte interface. The model predicts steady-state cell performance, given the above conditions that characterize the state of the electrode. Quasi-linearization and finite difference techniques are used to solve the coupled nonlinear differential equations. Also, the effective surface area of electrode pore was obtained by mercury porosimeter. The results of the investigation are presented in the form of plots of overpotential vs. current density with varied the electrode material, gas composition and mechanism. The predicted polarization curves are compared with the empirical data from 1 c$m^2$ cell. A fair correspondence is observed.

  • This study was conducted to investigate the influence of shading treatment on the photosynthetic rate, transpiration rate, stomatal conductance and its any correlations in Liriope platyphylla $W_{ANG}\;et\;T_{ANG}$. Followings were achieved as a conclusion. The net photosynthetic rate was increased as the PAR was increased and reached maximum at the $700-1000{\mu}mol/m^2/s$ of PAR in all of leaves, also this treatment caused a higher net photosynthetic rate in comparison with control. It shows the tendency of increasing stomatal conductance caused by the increment of PAR. The diurnal changes of photosynthesis, transpiration rate and stomatal conductance were increased as the PAR was increased in the morning, but they indicated a decreased tendency in broad day. The relationship between net photosynthetic rate and stomatal conductance is well fit by the first regression linear equation. However, the values obtained from the linear equation have the different, respectively, and have highly significance. From the above results, net photosynthetic rate of shading treatment is higher than control in the same stomatal conductance. Different first regression linear equation were obtained between the transpiration rate and stomatal conductance, photosynthesis and stomatal conductance in during the control and shading treatment, too.

Fabrication of Porous SiC Ceramics by Partial Sintering and their Properties (부분소결공정에 의한 다공질 탄화규소 세라믹스의 제조 및 특성)

  • Addition of large particles restrains densification by small particles in mixed particle systems. In the present study, large SiC whiskers or particles were introduced into small particles for restraining densification and the mixtures were sintered using yttrium aluminum garnet (Y$_3$A1$\sub$5/O$\sub$12/, YAG) as a sintering additive. By controlling the content of large SiC whiskers or particles and the applied pressure during sintering, porous SiC ceramics, with a porosity ranging from 0.3% to 39%, were fabricated. Porosity increased with increasing the content of restraining materials. SiC whiskers were more effective than large SiC partcles for restraining densification. Permeability of the porous SiC ceramics increased with increasing the porosity. Flexural strength decreased with increasing porosity. A noticeable increase in strain to failure was observed in the porous ceramics with a porosity ranging from 18% to 39%.

Analysis of Pore Structure for Porous Body with Coal Fly ash and Clay (석탄회-점토계 다공체의 기공구조 분석)

  • Porous body was prepared from coal fly ash 70 wt%0clay 30 wt% slip using DCC(Direct Coagulated Casting) method. Effect of the specific gravity of the slip on the pore size and distribution of the sintered body was examined by the SEM observation of microstructure and mercury porosimetry measurement of the pore size distribution. Average pore size of the porous sintered body was about 2.5μm for all slips with specific gravity of 1.55, 1.60 and 1.65g/cm3, respectively. Sintered body prepared from the slip of specific gravity of 1.60g/cm3 have the narrowest pore size distribution. slip of specific gravity of 1.55g/cm3 shows broader pore size distribution due to slow gellation process. Slip of specific gravity of 1.65g/cm3 required large amount of deflocculant and showed large variation of the viscosity with addition of coagulant which resulted in very unstable slip properties.

  • PEO(Plasma Electrolytic Oxidation) 방법으로 인한 마그네슘 합금의 산화막 코팅시 Sodium Aluminate의 역할을 알아보았다. 전해액 내에 Sodium Aluminate 의 농도가 증가할수록 Plasma arc 발생에 필요한 전압의 상승이 빨라졌으며 그 산화막이 치밀해짐을 알 수 있었다. 또한 치밀한 산화막의 기공률은 분석하여 이를 내식성 결과와 비교함으로써 산화막의 기공률이 내식성에 미치는 영향을 고찰해보았다.

  • 무전해도금법에 의한 퍼멀로이 박막의 도금 최적조건 규명 및 자기적 특성 향상을 위하여 퍼멀로이 박막의 미세구조 및 자기적 특성 등을 연구하였다. 소지는 알루미나를 사용하였으며, 환원제는 boron을 포함하는 Ni-Fe-B도금막이 형성되는 DMAB(dimethylamine borane)를 사용하였다. 도금시 인가된 도금막이 무자장하에서 도금된 도금막과 비교하여 기공이 적고, 조밀한 막이 형성됨을 SEM을 통하여 확인하였다. 도금속도는 온도, pH, DMAB 농도가 증가할수록 증가하였다. 도금막에 함유되는 boron의 함량은 pH가 감소할수록, 온도와 DMAB농도가 증가할수록 증가하였다. 도금막 보자력값은 30$0^{\circ}C$에서 1시간 열처리하였을 때 약 4.5Oe로 감소하였고, 포화자기유도값은 3-5kG 정도 증가하였다. 이때 포화자기유도값은 자장하에서 도금된 후 열처리한 도금막이 무자장하에서 도금된 후 열처리한 도금막에 비하여 1.7kG 정도 높았다. 또한 열처리 후의 도금막이 열처리 전의 도금막에 비하여 기공이 적고 조밀한 도금막을 형성함을 볼 수 있었다.

  • 본 연구는 공정시간에 따른 전해 플라즈마 공정(Electrolytic Plasma Processing, EPP) 공정에 의해 형성된 산화 코팅층의 특성 변화를 알아보고자 한다. 실험에 사용되는 전해용액은 $Na_2SiO_3$(12g/l) + $Na_2SiF_6$(0.3g/l)+NaOH(3g/l) 기본용액에 다양한 농도의 NaOH(0-5g/l) 첨가한 전해용액을 사용하였다. AZ61 마그네슘 합금을 모재($22{\Phi}{\times}10mm$)로 사용하였으며 실험은 5분-60분 동안 진행되었다. 공정시간에 변화에 따른 EPP 코팅층 특성을 측정한 결과 공정시간이 증가함에 따라 코팅층 표면의 기공 크기가 커지고 코팅층 내에 기공수가 즐어드는 것을 확인하였다. 또한 XRD 분석을 통하여 형성된 코팅층에서 MgO, Mg2SiO4 상이 나타난 것을 확인할 수 있었다.(No. 2011-0030058),(2012H1B8A2026212)

  • 전기영동전착법을 이용한 초전도 후막선재의 제작은 제작 장치와 공정이 간단하고 두께제어 및 다양한 형태의 초전도 막과 선재 제작이 가능한 경제적 효율성과 기술적 장점을 가지고 있다. 따라서 초전도 후막의 특성향상을 위하여 전착공정 과정에서 입자의 치밀성 및 배향성 향상을 위한 칙적화 방안과, 건조 및 열처리 과정에서 발생되는 크랙 및 기공현상과 같은 문제점을 극복 할 수 있는 균일한 후막 표면 화보에 관한 비교 분석 연구를 수행하였다. 전기영동전착법에 의한 초전도후막 제작을 위한 조건 중 현탁용매 조건에 대한 최적화를 구현함으로써 전착 불균일성에 따른 초전도 특성 저하요인인 후막표면의 기공과 크랙현상을 최소화하였다. 전기영동 전착법에 의한 초전도 후막의 특성을 향상시키기 위한 제작 방법으로 각 용매별에 따른 안정화된 제작 조건을 구현하였다.
