Abdominal Muscle Activity during Warm-up (Head to Toe) Exercise Compared to Tongue-stretching Exercise (Warming up 운동과 Tongue-stretching 운동 시 복근 활성도의 비교)

  • 연구의 목적 : 건강한 20대 성인 남녀에게 복부 강화 운동의 하나인 warm-up (head to toe)와 tongue-stretching 운동 시 복근의 근 활성도를 비교하는데 연구의 목적이 있다. 연구의 방법 : 본 연구는 12명의 건강한 20대 성인 남녀(남 5, 여 7)를 대상으로 하였으며, 평균 연령은 26세이다. 연구의 대상자는 복근에 sEMG 도자를 부착하여 두 운동 적용 시 복부 근활성도에 대한 남녀의 차이와 개별 운동 시 각 근육간의 근활성도 차이를 SPSS 13.0을 이용하여 분석하였으며, 두 운동 적용 시 global 근육과 local 근육간의 비율을 1이라 가정하고 기여도를 측정하였다. 연구의 결과 : 연구의 결과는 다음과 같다. 1) 두 운동을 적용 시 남녀의 차이는 없었다. 2) 두 운동 적용 시각 근육간 근활성도 차이는 보이지 않았으나, 배속빗근(internal oblique)는 차이를 보였다. 3) 두 운동 적용 시global 근육과 local 근육간의 비율은 배곧은근(rectus abdominis)과 배속빗근과의 비율은 3으로 배속빗근이 배 곧은근의 근활성도 보다 컸음을 보였으며, 배바깥빗근(exernal oblique)과 배속빗근과의 비율은 약 1.5로 배속빗근의 활성도가 컸다. 연구의 결론 : 복부 강화 운동의 하나인 warm-up과 tongue-stretching 운동을 적용 시 복근의 활성도를 비교한 결과에서 보여주듯이 local 근육 강화 운동 시 두 운동의 효과를 향후 분석하여 요통환자와 같이 복부 강화가 필요한 환자의 프로그램에 적용되어져 할 것이다.

A comparative study of lower extremity muscle activity in adults in their 20s with flat foot that applied low-dye taping and foot intrinsic muscle strengthening exercise (Low-dye 테이핑과 발 내재근육 강화 운동을 적용한 편평발을 가진 20대 성인의 하지 근육활성도 비교 연구)

  • The purpose of this study was to investigate effect of low-dye taping and foot intrinsic muscle strengthening exercise on the muscle activity of the tibialis anterior, calf muscles, and long calf muscles during one-foot standing in subjects with flat feet. The subjects were 16 adults in their 20s with flat feet, and they were divided into low-dye taping (LTG; n=8) and foot intrinsic muscle strengthening exercise (FSG; n=8) groups. Each group underwent the appropriate intervention twice a week for 6 weeks. The muscle activity of the tibialis anterior, long calf muscle, and medial calf muscle was measured. Repeated two-way ANOVA was performed to compare changes in muscle activity before and after the intervention. As a result of muscle activity measurement, LTG significantly decreased between before and after the experiment in all muscles (p<.05). In FSG, only the tibialis anterior significantly decreased between before and after the experiment (p<.05). Therefore, low-dye taping and foot intrinsic muscle strengthening exercises will be helpful for efficient the lower extremity muscle activity of flat foot.

Effects of Core Exercise Program on the Low Back Function in Private Guard and Security (경호원들의 코어프로그램 수행과 요추부 기능개선에 관한 연구)

  • Background: This study was to investigate the effects of spinal strengthening exercise and lumbar stabilization exercise(core exercise program) on trunk muscle strength, flexibility and balance, lumbar function. The subjects of this study were the eighteen subjects who was registered in private guard company. The each exercise group of 9 persons were chosen by random controlled trial. Methods: We used instrument BTE, Libra, Ruler Measuring tape to measured trunk muscle strength, flexibility, balance and lumbar function. Results: The result of this study were summarized below; The flexor muscle strength was improve in lumbar stabilization exercise(core exercise) group(p<.05). The extensor muscle strength was improve in lumbar stabilization exercise(core program) group(p<.05). The trunk flexibility was improve in spinal strengthening exercise group and lumbar stabilization exercise group(p<.05). The balance ability was improve in spinal strengthening group and lumbar stabilization exercise group(core program) group(p<.05). Conclusion: With the above results, demonstrated effects of spinal strengthening exercise and lumbar stabilization exercise in each private guard and security in this study.

  • This study purpose is to know about the effect of Cobb's angle of scoliosis patient by Pilates ecercise. It was executed for prove this exercise with Pilates Postural Correct Exercise(PCE), Spine Stretching Exercis(SSE), Muscle Strengthing Exercise(MSE). PCE is useful for unbalanced muscle energy and SSE gives relax for hypertensioned muscles and MSE is correcting balance for prime mover and secondary mover and so it will be recovery for elasticity and flexibility of paraspine muscles. The method study was proved with a Cobb's angle measurement of Lumbar spine by X-ray test before and after. As a result for the test, Cobb's angle by X-ray it shows reduced about 5 degree in statistics(p=0.005). And so It shows the Pilates exercise gives reduce for Scoliosis.

Fundamental Characteristics of Isometric Muscle Force Potentiation induced by Surface Stimulation in FES (기능적 표면 전기자극에 의해 유발되는 등척성 근력강화현상의 기초적 특성)

  • A computer model of the musculoskelotal system that provides accurate prediction of muscle force and body movement trom the stimulation input is desired for the effective control system design in FES. This paper aims to investigate the fundamental properties of the gradual muscle force potentiation that was not included in the previous muscle models, for future development of a model that provides vetter prediction of FES-induced muscle force and body movement. Specifically, hou the muscle length was investigated. The experimental results showed that both the force increment ratio and the time-to-peak during electrical stimulation decreased with stimulatino frequency. When the muscle potentiation state was saturated by preceding stimulation. the force did not increase any more during additive stimulation. Muscle length significantly affected the force potentiation in such a way that the force increment ratio decreased with muscle length. A new model of the muscle potentiation based on these results is desired in the future.

Effects of spinal stabilization training on Chronic Low Back Pain in Private Guard and Security (척추안정화 운동이 민간 경호.경비원들의 허리통증에 미치는 영향)

  • The purpose of this study was to evaluate the effects of using spinal stabilization exercise for the improvement of atrophy of the multifidus and psoas major, of pain and disability with chronic low back pain in private guard and security. For 42 patients diagnosed with CLBP, and divided into spinal stabilization exercise group(SSEG) and general spinal strengthening exercise group(GSSEG). Each exercise was conducted for 10 weeks. Pain and disability were measured before and after exercise using the Visual analogue scale(VAS) and the Oswestry disability index(ODI). Cross section area(CSA) of both the left and right multifidus and the psoas major at the upper end plate of L4 were measured before and after exercise using computed tomography(CT). After 10 weeks of exercise, the both group's pain and lumbar disability were significantly decreased(p<0.01). Also there was significant difference in both group(p<0.05). In addition, the CSA of the left and right multifidus and posas major were significantly increased as compared to the pre-exercise in both group(p<0.01). But SSEG's cross sectional areas of multifidus was more significantly increase than GSSEG(p<0.05). In summary, Spinal stabilization exercise is more effective in improving atrophy in private guard and security patients, in reducing patients' pain and disability. It is an effective treatment to aid rehabilitation in these cases.

  • 투구운동은 견관절에 반복적인 압박력 및 신장력을 가하게 되며 이는 견관절의 정적 안정력의 약화를 유발하게 된다. 초기의 경도의 불안정성은 근육 등 동적 안정력의 작용으로 안정적인 운동상태를 유지할 수 있으나 반복적인 운동이 지속될 경우 근육이 피로해 져서 동적 안정력의 보상작용을 통한 안정성을 얻을 수 없게 된다. 이는 일차적으로 견관절의 불안정성을 유발할 뿐만 아니라, 이차적으로 견봉하 충돌증후 및 내적 충돌증후 등의 증상을 나타내기도 한다. 과 투구로 인한 대부분의 운동손상은 보존적 치료로 좋은 결과를 볼 수 있으며, 이는 일차적으로 투구를 중지하여 관절을 안정시키며 진통 소염제나 물리치료 등을 통한 항 염증치료, 그리고 회전근개 및 견갑골 주위근육의 강화운동 등의 단계로 진행된다. 적절한 보존적 치료에도 불구하고 증상이 지속될 경우 정확한 진단에 근거한 수술적 치료 및 조절된 재활운동 프로그램을 통해 조기 운동 복귀를 기대할 수 있다.

  • The purpose of this study was to compare and analyze the effects of exercise types on lower extremity muscle activity in stroke patients. For the purpose, the subjects of this study were classified into three groups such as therapeutic exercise group(n=7), elastic band group(n=7), and stretch reflex group(n=7). The three exercise programs were 5 times a week for 8 weeks. The stretch reflex group revealed higher in iliopsoas and biceps femoris %MVIC than the therapeutic exercise group and elastic band group, whereas elastic band group revealed lower in tibialis anterior %MVIC than therapeutic exercise group in the primary single-limb support. The stretch reflex group revealed higher in iliopsoas %MVIC than the therapeutic exercise group and elastic band group, whereas stretch reflex group revealed lower in medial gastrocnemius %MVIC than therapeutic exercise group in the secondary double support phase.
